Tbf I bought most of the dvds before streaming services were a thing and I didn't have a landline in my flat (I survived 8 years without a landline) so had nothing to watch. Nearly all the dvds in the Doctor Who dvd cabinet are available on britbox so I don't tend to watch them. The majority of the dvds in the other cabinet aren't available on the streaming services or just limited series/episodes. Or repeated on TV.
|
That's still a lot to choose from, plus having TV. I have some of my favourite dvds but I never watch them.
|
Maybe best to leave it then if it'll just upset you!
I ordered some cargo trousers from asos (because they will still let me use klarna where most other sites won't for some reason!) Just seen a lot of cargo trousers in the shops today and really liked them! I haven't seen that. I've heard it's good though |
Yeah I'll have to tidy it a bit. Mow the lawn, cut back the dead stuff and the brambles...
Haven't had dinner yet, no. Too early for that yet. A small piece of weeding at a time is a good idea. I find I can't force myself to do it though, the time has to be right and I have to be ok enough to do it or nothing gets done =/ So don't push yourself Lindsay. You could always try a weedkiller in a spray bottle? Then you can just rush out really quick, spray a few things and run back inside again? |
I like cargo trousers too. Although, that is pretty much my work attire.
|
I need to get it done though. My support worker said she probably wouldn't be allowed to help because she has helped me before (not this year). They're all so busy. I told her not to bother asking her boss.
I hope you're happy with your trousers when they come. I just have multiple pairs of jeans with loads of pockets. Yes, it is good. Maybe give it a watch some time. |
Ninja NP.
I hope you can manage your garden. So you're not going to be stationary all the time if you have to get yourself some dinner later! Any ideas what you'll have? I might try weed killer first. Thanks for your ideas Beckie and NP. |
I can relate to the 'time has to be right' thing!
They must be in style now because they were all over the shops! New look, primark etc. The thing i struggle to find it nice tops. Everything is a friggin crop top! Isn't her job to support you with practical stuff? |
You're going to be fashionable, Beckie. In with the crowd!
That's a shame about the tops. But you have some fun ones don't you? Yes, that's her job but I think they're short staffed right now and give very short term support with things before they expect you to be able to do it yourself. Except for the gym group but it might change to be like that too. Just cleaned the bathroom so that's one thing I don't need to do tomorrow. |
That's what happen when you work with young 'uns! XD
I've had to buy a lot of new tops, because the fun ones are too big now sadly! I've kept a couple of them for hair dying/cleaning purposes! That's a shame. Hopefully the gym group will continue! Well done! |
Well done for cleaning the bathroom, Lindsay!
(I need to do mine too...) And you are right about not being entirely stationary! I'm not really counting walking to the kitchen as activity though as it's only a few metres away =P Not sure what to have, I'll just see what takes my fancy in the freezer. I need a billion new clothes at the moment >.< |
Do you buy clothes online or in store np?
Most people have a preference! |
Online mostly.
|
Think most people are the same now.
Going out and trying stuff on is effort. |
I'm not sure how I feel about the new dress :(
I bought ice lollies, why do they take SO long to freeze? it's been like, 20 minutes! |
Going out is effort!
Sorry you don't like your dress. Maybe it will grow on you if you try it on a few more times? It is ice lolly weather! |
It is!
I agree with np, maybe try it a few more times! It is lovely out there! |
I'm going to try another day, maybe tomorrow. I came home and did some of the washing up and now I'm tired but I need to think about dinner.
|
Have you got anything easy to do for dinner?
|
Aww, I just had a lovely time reading through today's posts, you are all very lovely.
np, if you need new clothes, might I suggest dungarees!!!! Lindsay, that's rubbish that you can't have help with doing the weeding; hope the weedkiller helps. Beth, I hope you've found something easy for dinner. Beckie, plz send me a jpg of your mum's garden! |
You and your blimmin dungarees! XD
Jpg incoming |
Online clothes shopping for me too. Even if I got something in an actual shop I wouldn't try it on.
I hope everyone who needs or wants clothes can find the ones that are good for them. It's not ice lolly weather here, it's quite cold. Well it's cold in my house anyway. I hope you can have something simple but tasty for dinner, Beth. How has your day been, Jenna? |
Rude! Do I need to spam you with jpgs of me wearing various outstanding pairs of dungarees????
|
I would like to see that!
|
Oh ninja Lindsay, my post was aimed at Beckie's above!!
|
Argh ninja times two!
|
Can I see garden photo too please?

I knew it was for Beckie, Jenna. Dungarees sound fun though.
At least you got a guilt invite in the end, Jenna! It was terrible of them not to invite you in the first place. Did you have nice food? My day has been a struggle, as always. So. |
Dungarees win! I don't think I'd ever wear them though.
|
Sending jpg to you too beth!
|
Lots of jpgs wooshing around! I have nothing to send.
|
Crookshanks jpg??
|
Too much effort right now!
|
I've just bought some ladies boxers. No more stealing them from my imaginary boyfriend.

And yes, I had a delicious vegan cheese sandwich and although I didn't have time to bake this morning I did get my favourite vegan cookies to share with my colleague's dairy-free kid! Quote:

How did you entertain the children? Don't let it get out or everyone will want you to look after their children.
|
Don't all your jobs revolve around having to hang out with a bunch of kids? :tongue2:
|
Also idk if anyone else has watched it but actually screaming at the end of alice in borderland. AND SEASON 3 ISN'T EVEN CONFIRMED!!!
If Netflix don't renew it then I'm storming netflix HQ |
That's a valid point Beckie :P Not teeny kids though. The person organising said that before she had kids she hated hanging out with other people's kids!
Lindsay, T went hunting for bugs mainly and I pretended to be a bear. My throat was raw by the end because I fully engaged with the role and kept having to reprise it when the little kid said "be a bear!" |

I don't have Netflix - what's the show about Beckie?
|
Strong feelings there, Beckie!
|
I'm stuck between ordering food which I need to go get, or nap.

I absolutely cannot pull off dungarees. Although in my quest for clothing today I did come across some (boring plain denim ones) and thought of you and another acquaintance who swears by them. I had a quorn chicken burger and chips for dinner in the end. |
Tbh I'm not a fan of kids
Despite having one XD I'm just gonna copy/paste the description because I'm SO bad at describing tv shows: Alice in Borderland (Japanese: 今際の国のアリス, Hepburn: Imawa no Kuni no Arisu) is a 2020 Japanese science fiction thriller drama streaming television series based on the manga by Haro Aso. The series was directed by Shinsuke Sato. It stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya as allies trapped in an abandoned Tokyo forced to compete in dangerous games, the type and difficulty represented by playing cards, to extend "visas" that, if expired, result in the player's execution by lasers being shot from the sky. But there are loads of twists! So throughout the whole thing i was pretty much fully engaged! Which is incredibly rare for me! I'm gonna be like Sheldon from BBT when they cancel his favourite show and he starts ringing up pretending to be different people to try and get them to un cancel it! And then just ask them how it ends XD Oooh yummy! Quorn burger! Food is important beth! |
I don't think that show is up my street, but I'm glad you like it!!
|
Yeah it's not for everyone!
I just like that kinda sci-fi, dystopia type stuff :-D |
It might be up my street but I sadly don't have Netflix.
|
That's a shame!
It is very good! |
