Cacoethes 15-07-2022 05:10 PM

Yep there is a weather warning!
Glow beatz on Tuesday has been changed to fitness pilates which i am quite disappointed about. She said it would be too dangerous to do such a high impact class in that heat. Which is true i suppose

It was!

True lindsay!

one_step_closer 15-07-2022 05:12 PM

It's kind of scary the way the weather can be. It never used to be like this did it? I remember 'normal' summers as a child with sun most of the time but not dangerous. And exciting thunderstorms.

Cacoethes 15-07-2022 05:23 PM

I don't know if it never happened or if we just weren't aware of it like we are as adults? Idk!
I do love a good thunderstorm

tamobhuuta 15-07-2022 05:41 PM

The weather is beautiful here, not too hot. I should be able to sleep in my room tonight.

Cacoethes 15-07-2022 05:44 PM

It's nice here too

nonperson 15-07-2022 08:26 PM

We've been discussing the weather a lot at work. I don't think I've ever seen 40 degrees being predicted. High 30s yes, but not 40s.

Cacoethes 15-07-2022 08:30 PM

Same.
It's going to be unbearable.
I'm considering going into work on Tuesday (day off) just to sit somewhere with air con!
Though my house does stay quite cool anyway.

nonperson 15-07-2022 08:42 PM

That's not a bad shout! I've booked half days. Start at 6:30, finish at 10:45. Hide the rest of the day.

I went into the BP earlier for petrol and it was so cool inside I thought I might stay =P

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 08:00 AM

Good plan!

Morning everyone!

nonperson 16-07-2022 01:26 PM

Afternoon. How's everyone? Who's lurking out there?

not_so_insig 16-07-2022 01:31 PM

I am. But I am going out any time between now and the next half an hour. It depends on when my lift picks me up.

one_step_closer 16-07-2022 01:43 PM

Hey everyone. How are your days going?

nonperson 16-07-2022 02:11 PM

Off anywhere nice, Dawn?

Hey Lindsay. My day's been ok, not feeling up to much so just taking it easy. Hope yours has been ok <3

not_so_insig 16-07-2022 04:37 PM

I went wild swimming nonperson. Back now though.

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 04:53 PM

Yo yo yo

one_step_closer 16-07-2022 04:56 PM

Taking it easy is ok, NP. I hope you're doing alright.

Wild swimming sounds cold and difficult. Do you enjoy it Dawn?

I've mostly been doing a bit of housework and reading. There's loads of stuff I've not been able to do for ages like phoning about how much I owe the ESA people, sorting out the weeds in my garden, and replying to pen pals. I feel so much pressure.

one_step_closer 16-07-2022 04:56 PM

Emm yo back Beckie! What has led to a yo?!

nonperson 16-07-2022 05:09 PM

And not just one to, a triple yo =o

I understand the pressure of having to get things done too, Lindsay. The weeds in my garden are terrible as well. But you've done some things and that is ok.

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 05:23 PM

Not really sure what the triple yo is about tbh XD

not_so_insig 16-07-2022 05:32 PM

It isn't that bad Lindsay. The first 90 seconds are the worst but it was refreshing in this weather. Its currently 28 degrees. And yes I enjoy it.

nonperson 16-07-2022 05:50 PM

More yo's = more cool?

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 05:53 PM

Absolutely!
I am super cool after all!

nonperson 16-07-2022 07:00 PM

Speaking of cool, did you book tickets for Shinedown in the end?

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 07:06 PM

Yes i did! 1st December!

nonperson 16-07-2022 07:14 PM

Omg. So jealous. I was looking at tickets too while having a bit of a mini crisis because I want to go so badly but don't know if I can bring myself to do it. Probably no tickets left now anyway.

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 07:16 PM

There are still tickets!! Check out ticketmaster. I got my ticket for £41
Doooooo it!

nonperson 16-07-2022 07:27 PM

I was just looking on there. There is one aisle seat left that looks ok. I dunno what to dooo, argh. Or there's load left in Cardiff but that's only standing. Ah ****.

Are you going on your own?

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 07:29 PM

Yep going alone! Always do because i have no friends lol

nonperson 16-07-2022 07:55 PM

How do you do it? >.<

Me neither. =(

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 08:06 PM

You just get used to it!
My desire to do things outweigh the anxiety of doing the thing!
When i get old, I'm going to be able to look back at all the things i have done, with or without people, and hopefully be satisfied that I've lived life to the fullest and done all the things i want to do and see the bands i want to see! (Before the bands break up or one of them dies or something!)

nonperson 16-07-2022 08:11 PM

My anxiety outweighs everything =(

That's a really good reason though. I'm so proud (if that's the right word) to have seen the bands I have seen in the past. Things are just very different now.

Making a decision is too hard dammit.

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 08:17 PM

:(

It's good you've seen some bands though!

I don't wait long enough to make decisions!
If i waited and thought through every decision, i wouldn't have seen MCR or gone to hella mega tour or seen Russell Howard! And i don't regret any of that!
I would be a lot better off financially, sure, but i value life experiences more than money! Much to my mum's dismay XD

nonperson 16-07-2022 08:23 PM

Haha. Mums never understand.

I'm not good at making decisions on a whim. I've got to think everything through and plan everything.

I'm currently torn between London or Cardiff. London is obviously very close but takes more travel planning (driving plus trains) and Cardiff would be a long but easy drive to get there and an overnight stay which would be ok.

Someone slap some sense into me. I've been banging on about missing live music for ages...

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 08:30 PM

They do not!

If it was me personally, i would go for Cardiff. If you have accommodation then there's no rushing for packed to the brim trains!

Do it do it do it do it!!!

nonperson 16-07-2022 08:33 PM

I'm also leaning towards Cardiff. It's standing only, unless you pay for super expensive balcony tickets but standing might be less anxiety inducing than sitting next to a stranger.

Oh god my heart is palpitating just thinking about it.

Zurg 16-07-2022 08:43 PM

NP, even if buy a ticket and decide not to go, it's usually pretty easy to sell it to someone who's desperate. The closer to the gig, the more desperate people get ;-)

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 08:46 PM

Zurg makes an excellent point!

Doooooo iiiittttt!

nonperson 16-07-2022 08:47 PM

Reselling it is an added anxiety!

Thanks though, Zurg. You are right. I'm just terrible at this.

nonperson 16-07-2022 08:54 PM

Now I'm leaning towards London because overnight stay. And I know how to function London. Oh dear God.

Sorry for having a minor crisis in this thread =P

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 08:56 PM

Well, you still have a while to decide!

nonperson 16-07-2022 09:00 PM

Yeah, but not too long or it'll all be sold out or crappy seats.

Cacoethes 16-07-2022 09:07 PM

Very true!

nonperson 16-07-2022 09:17 PM

Ugh. Anyway...

not_so_insig 17-07-2022 12:12 AM

If you have to take a train from Cardiff then don't bother with Cardiff. Transport for Wales trains are pretty sh*te when it comes from gigs they pack the trains so much that people will sit in reserved seats and refuse to move. They also pack the trains so much that people are squashed like sardines. Also they time the trains so much that you either have to leave early because of last trains or like I said you get crushed because the concert finish times. Transport for Wales are known for their overcrowding/poor service. Each time there's a gig on in Cardiff there's always reports of overpacked trains on the Wales media on Facebook. Transport for Wales is the main train operator in Wales and runs trains from the Principality Stadium to the centre of Cardiff and beyond. I imagine that the concert will be held in the Principality Stadium as most concerts/major events are held there.

If you're thinking of driving there then I would allow plenty of time as the last two concerts held in the principality stadium there was significant traffic delays which caused people to either miss the concert or miss the beginning. I dont know about buses.

Cacoethes 17-07-2022 06:53 AM

Morning everyone!

tamobhuuta 17-07-2022 11:09 AM

Hello! How are you?

not_so_insig 17-07-2022 11:10 AM

Morning all.

tamobhuuta 17-07-2022 11:11 AM

not_so_insig 17-07-2022 11:15 AM

Cacoethes 17-07-2022 11:17 AM
