Yep there is a weather warning!
Glow beatz on Tuesday has been changed to fitness pilates which i am quite disappointed about. She said it would be too dangerous to do such a high impact class in that heat. Which is true i suppose It was! True lindsay! |
It's kind of scary the way the weather can be. It never used to be like this did it? I remember 'normal' summers as a child with sun most of the time but not dangerous. And exciting thunderstorms.
|
I don't know if it never happened or if we just weren't aware of it like we are as adults? Idk!
I do love a good thunderstorm |
The weather is beautiful here, not too hot. I should be able to sleep in my room tonight.
|
It's nice here too
|
We've been discussing the weather a lot at work. I don't think I've ever seen 40 degrees being predicted. High 30s yes, but not 40s.
|
Same.
It's going to be unbearable. I'm considering going into work on Tuesday (day off) just to sit somewhere with air con! Though my house does stay quite cool anyway. |
That's not a bad shout! I've booked half days. Start at 6:30, finish at 10:45. Hide the rest of the day.
I went into the BP earlier for petrol and it was so cool inside I thought I might stay =P |
Good plan!
Morning everyone! |
Afternoon. How's everyone? Who's lurking out there?
|
I am. But I am going out any time between now and the next half an hour. It depends on when my lift picks me up.
|
Hey everyone. How are your days going?
|
Off anywhere nice, Dawn?
Hey Lindsay. My day's been ok, not feeling up to much so just taking it easy. Hope yours has been ok <3 |
I went wild swimming nonperson. Back now though.
|
Yo yo yo
|
Taking it easy is ok, NP. I hope you're doing alright.
Wild swimming sounds cold and difficult. Do you enjoy it Dawn? I've mostly been doing a bit of housework and reading. There's loads of stuff I've not been able to do for ages like phoning about how much I owe the ESA people, sorting out the weeds in my garden, and replying to pen pals. I feel so much pressure. |
Emm yo back Beckie! What has led to a yo?!
|
And not just one to, a triple yo =o
I understand the pressure of having to get things done too, Lindsay. The weeds in my garden are terrible as well. But you've done some things and that is ok. |
Not really sure what the triple yo is about tbh XD
|
It isn't that bad Lindsay. The first 90 seconds are the worst but it was refreshing in this weather. Its currently 28 degrees. And yes I enjoy it.
|
More yo's = more cool?
|
Absolutely!
I am super cool after all! |
Speaking of cool, did you book tickets for Shinedown in the end?
|
Yes i did! 1st December!
|
Omg. So jealous. I was looking at tickets too while having a bit of a mini crisis because I want to go so badly but don't know if I can bring myself to do it. Probably no tickets left now anyway.
|
There are still tickets!! Check out ticketmaster. I got my ticket for £41
Doooooo it! |
I was just looking on there. There is one aisle seat left that looks ok. I dunno what to dooo, argh. Or there's load left in Cardiff but that's only standing. Ah ****.
Are you going on your own? |
Yep going alone! Always do because i have no friends lol
|
How do you do it? >.<
Me neither. =( |
You just get used to it!
My desire to do things outweigh the anxiety of doing the thing! When i get old, I'm going to be able to look back at all the things i have done, with or without people, and hopefully be satisfied that I've lived life to the fullest and done all the things i want to do and see the bands i want to see! (Before the bands break up or one of them dies or something!) |
My anxiety outweighs everything =(
That's a really good reason though. I'm so proud (if that's the right word) to have seen the bands I have seen in the past. Things are just very different now. Making a decision is too hard dammit. |
:(
It's good you've seen some bands though! I don't wait long enough to make decisions! If i waited and thought through every decision, i wouldn't have seen MCR or gone to hella mega tour or seen Russell Howard! And i don't regret any of that! I would be a lot better off financially, sure, but i value life experiences more than money! Much to my mum's dismay XD |
Haha. Mums never understand.
I'm not good at making decisions on a whim. I've got to think everything through and plan everything. I'm currently torn between London or Cardiff. London is obviously very close but takes more travel planning (driving plus trains) and Cardiff would be a long but easy drive to get there and an overnight stay which would be ok. Someone slap some sense into me. I've been banging on about missing live music for ages... |
They do not!
If it was me personally, i would go for Cardiff. If you have accommodation then there's no rushing for packed to the brim trains! Do it do it do it do it!!! |
I'm also leaning towards Cardiff. It's standing only, unless you pay for super expensive balcony tickets but standing might be less anxiety inducing than sitting next to a stranger.
Oh god my heart is palpitating just thinking about it. |
NP, even if buy a ticket and decide not to go, it's usually pretty easy to sell it to someone who's desperate. The closer to the gig, the more desperate people get ;-)
|
Zurg makes an excellent point!
Doooooo iiiittttt! |
Reselling it is an added anxiety!
Thanks though, Zurg. You are right. I'm just terrible at this. |
Now I'm leaning towards London because overnight stay. And I know how to function London. Oh dear God.
Sorry for having a minor crisis in this thread =P |
Well, you still have a while to decide!
|
Yeah, but not too long or it'll all be sold out or crappy seats.
|
Very true!
|
Ugh. Anyway...
|
If you have to take a train from Cardiff then don't bother with Cardiff. Transport for Wales trains are pretty sh*te when it comes from gigs they pack the trains so much that people will sit in reserved seats and refuse to move. They also pack the trains so much that people are squashed like sardines. Also they time the trains so much that you either have to leave early because of last trains or like I said you get crushed because the concert finish times. Transport for Wales are known for their overcrowding/poor service. Each time there's a gig on in Cardiff there's always reports of overpacked trains on the Wales media on Facebook. Transport for Wales is the main train operator in Wales and runs trains from the Principality Stadium to the centre of Cardiff and beyond. I imagine that the concert will be held in the Principality Stadium as most concerts/major events are held there.
If you're thinking of driving there then I would allow plenty of time as the last two concerts held in the principality stadium there was significant traffic delays which caused people to either miss the concert or miss the beginning. I dont know about buses. |
Morning everyone!
|
