Cacoethes 31-07-2020 12:59 PM

Oh no!
Hopefully you can get a drink soon
Not good to be without drinks in this heat
That's a long old journey

chinahorse 31-07-2020 01:07 PM

Should be 4 hours from door to door but is taking a lot longer due to covid.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 01:15 PM

Stupid covid
Ruins everything

chinahorse 31-07-2020 01:19 PM

It really does. And work are now being idiots too. On top of the stress of sad reasons I'm going to plymouth and mental health stress and urghhh

Annnnywya.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 01:26 PM

Sorry to hear that *hugs if ok*
Wish I could help in some way

chinahorse 31-07-2020 01:27 PM

Hugs back.

Keep chatting to me! Found something to watch on tv? Also pre 7am I'm fairly sure watch a lot of border force on channel 11.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 02:04 PM

I'm watching border force right now!
It's not on pre 7am. I think it's motorway patrol then!

Just been on the phone to my nanny for half an hour. Man can she talk!!

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:07 PM

E is having his knee surgery. He went in at 11.30, they said it would take an hour but he's still in theatre. Feeling really anxious

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 02:09 PM

I hope he's ok Luna
What's the surgery for?

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:13 PM

He fell off his bike (again..) and damaged a ligament in his knee so they are repairing it.
My mind is catastrophising but trying to distract myself.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 02:16 PM

Ouch!
I could be wrong but maybe ligament damage can't be seen in perfect detail on scans and it's just a bit more damaged or complicated than they thought therefore taking longer?
That could be nonsense but that's what I'd think

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:22 PM

You're probably right, I'm just not good with health stuff (getting a lot of horrible intrusive thoughts). I'm watching Bob's burgers and randomly looking at Halloween decorations to take my mind off it.

What are you up to Beckie? How's your nanny?

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 02:28 PM

*hugs if ok*
Well done for trying to distract
I know you love Halloween so that's a good idea!

Just watching border force
My nanny is doing good thanks!
She went out for the first time in like 5 months yesterday. She's been shielding but kind of just went f*ck it and went to the supermarket.

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:29 PM

Aww bless her. I bet that was quite anxiety-provoking for her. Did it go okay?

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 02:34 PM

Yeah she said she was quite anxious and it was hard getting used to where you're supposed to go because they still have the one way system there but she enjoyed getting out and doing something normal

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:44 PM

It does take a bit of getting used to. it's all very surreal.

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:44 PM

E finally out of theatre!

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:45 PM

Also (triple posting) it's 36 flipping degrees right now!!!

one_step_closer 31-07-2020 02:49 PM

What days you've all being going through. I hope they work out for you.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 02:50 PM

It is
I know I was terrified of shopping when I came out of hospital because I went in before lockdown happened and everything was normal!

Yay! I'm glad he's out now

I know. It is completely unacceptable!

Hi lindsay! How are you?

[Luna] 31-07-2020 02:58 PM

Hey Lindsay!

I was super anxious going back to the shops too. It took me quite a while to build up my confidence again.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 03:02 PM

It seems ok once you get used to it!
Though social distancing has gone out of the window since the masks became compulsory. They've removed the one way stickers in asda too

nonperson 31-07-2020 04:02 PM

*collapses into thread*

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 04:11 PM

Hi np!
Were you working today?

nonperson 31-07-2020 04:13 PM

Hi! Yes but I started early so got to finish early. But still! I'm fried.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 04:19 PM

Omg I can't believe you survived!

nonperson 31-07-2020 04:28 PM

I've survived worse. =)

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 04:35 PM

I would absolutely die if I had to work in this weather!

chinahorse 31-07-2020 04:41 PM

Eek you poor thing NP!

Come to my old city. 19 degrees and cloudy. After a magical mystery tour I found my friends flat. And met her gorgeous kitty who is a baby still.

nonperson 31-07-2020 04:47 PM

19 degrees sounds heavenly!

Aww baby kitty!

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 04:53 PM

I so wish it was 19° here!
Glad you made it Lillie and enjoying some kitty time!

nonperson 31-07-2020 04:56 PM

It's actually got quite cloudy here. Wonder if it will thunder later.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 05:08 PM

My phone is warning me about thunderstorms so maybe!
Though it's still really sunny here :plain:

chinahorse 31-07-2020 05:09 PM

No sign of thunder here! Shame. Quite like a storm.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 05:10 PM

Me too!

nonperson 31-07-2020 05:15 PM

Same. I think there's going to be more thunder on the east coast, although I've also got thunderstorm warnings on my phone too.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 05:22 PM

Fingers crossed!

nonperson 31-07-2020 05:28 PM

Time to shower, I think.

What's everyone up to?

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 05:30 PM

Good plan!

I'm going to have a shower after dinner

tamobhuuta 31-07-2020 06:16 PM

Hi everyone. I see people loving the sun as much as me...

I've had a hair cut. Our L did it for me at home.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 06:37 PM

That's good tamo

I've just had a shower and washed my hair in preparation for swimming tomorrow. Didn't want to go out with my seriously greasy horrible hair!

tamobhuuta 31-07-2020 06:43 PM

Well done Cacoethes, i hope you enjoy your swim.

Tomorrow I've got to start thinking about packing, we're going to France on Monday.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 06:46 PM

Thanks :)

Ooo lovely!

nonperson 31-07-2020 06:49 PM

People might have just thought your hair was wet rather than greasy, Beckie. =P

Ooh France.

I am also showered and no longer covered in suncream and dirt. =P

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 06:51 PM

Yeah that's true! Lol

That must feel nice np!

nonperson 31-07-2020 07:03 PM

Wasn't wet look hair fashionable for a while? XD

It dooooes feel good. Suncream is like the best and worst thing.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 07:05 PM

Haha! :p

I hate suncream. And creams in general!

nonperson 31-07-2020 07:26 PM

I hate being sticky and greasy from sun cream. I buy a semi fancy one that isn't too uncomfortable to wear, which is totally worth the extra cost because I use it every day.

Cacoethes 31-07-2020 07:44 PM

Yeah you want to be investing in a good suncream if you're wearing it everyday!

Just shaved my legs as I realised that they will be on show tomorrow at swimming!

nonperson 31-07-2020 07:53 PM

That's the other thing I hate about summer - shaving legs!
