Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:27 PM

Lucky, Katy! I'm a few books behind at the moment tbh but she's well worth a read, Luna.

Buttons. 23-11-2016 06:27 PM

I'm going to have to set up a bloody Jodi Picoult library :P

[Luna] 23-11-2016 06:28 PM

:crying:

[Luna] 23-11-2016 06:29 PM

Which book would you recommend?

Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:29 PM

Aye. I have loads of her books and I have them on the kindle too. Lol.

Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:29 PM

Erm. House rules is a really good one, Luna.

So is my mum. First time I met JP was in Chester at 14 and on an hours leave from nearest adolescent psych unit and not doing very well and meeting her gave me a massive boost. My mum emailed her describing me to say thankyou never expecting a response or even for it to be read, but JP emailed back The Same Day to say how glad she was her books had helped me :)

Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:31 PM

Wow. I love people who have time for their fans.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 06:32 PM

Aww that's absolutely lovely! I remember when I contacted Torey Hayden on facebook and she sent me a very supportive and kind message back.

I keep getting ninja posted :P I'd say House Rules is a fab start although Second Glance is my favourite but is potentially a tad triggering so if in a vulnerable place wouldn't start with that one.

SO JEALOUS

[Luna] 23-11-2016 06:34 PM

She was very lovely and she has the most adorable fat cat.

Buttons. 23-11-2016 06:39 PM

^ Can I just go back in time and stalk you the moment you read that fb message :P

Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:41 PM

I love Torey Hayden too.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 06:43 PM

I wish I still had the screenshot I took.
I love her books and Cathy glass.

Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:44 PM

Try House Rules. It's a pretty good one to start on.

Buttons. 23-11-2016 06:47 PM

Yeah I like Cathy Glass very much, although I do think Torey Hayden is the better writer.

Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:49 PM

I'm not sure I've read any Cathy Glass.

Buttons. 23-11-2016 06:52 PM

She's worth reading in my opinion.

HopeRises 23-11-2016 06:52 PM

I like Torey Hayden books..though haven't read one forever.
I've never read Jodie Pilcot or Cathy Glass though.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 06:53 PM

I definitely think Torey hayden has a better writing technique. J has read nearly all the Cathy glass books.

Cacoethes 23-11-2016 06:54 PM

I was only gone for like 10 mins and already there's been almost 2 pages of raving about jodi picoult!!!

I'm cooking dinner and watching les mis. I usually hate musicals but les mis and rock of ages are acceptable.

I would strongly recommend both.

With good reason :P Hope you enjoy your dinner and les mis.

Voldemort 23-11-2016 06:57 PM

Les mis is amazing.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 07:00 PM

Only seen the film of les mis. Cried through most of it!

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:01 PM

Omg. You have to watch it on stage. It's incredible.

Cacoethes 23-11-2016 07:03 PM

I've never been to a show before. I'd love to go though!!

Buttons. 23-11-2016 07:03 PM

I confess I'm the same, only ever seen the film.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 07:04 PM

I would love to see it on stage. Doubt I'd ever be able to afford it though.

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:04 PM

Seriously guys. Save up and go to the west end. My dad took me for Christmas once and it is by far my favourite show and I've seen a few.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 07:06 PM

I love musicals.
J and I were blasting the soundtrack to Wicked this morning.

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:06 PM

I really want to see Wicked.

Buttons. 23-11-2016 07:07 PM

I've seen Wicked and it's AWESOME.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 07:07 PM

It's incredible. When I first went to see I didn't know much about it and was a bit skeptical but it was brilliant!!

Cacoethes 23-11-2016 07:08 PM

I really want to see that too!!

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:10 PM

It'll be a long time before I can see it.

[Luna] 23-11-2016 07:10 PM

I really want to see the new School of rock musical. I used to watch the film constantly.

Buttons. 23-11-2016 07:14 PM

I had a problem with that film (school of rock) not because it wasn't good but because whenever something happened in school they stuck that on to shut us up. There's only so many times you can watch Part of a film (we never reached the end).

[Luna] 23-11-2016 07:15 PM

Ah yeah, I can imagine that would taint the film somewhat.

Cacoethes 23-11-2016 07:19 PM

I love that film!

That must have been frustrating Katy!!

Buttons. 23-11-2016 07:20 PM

Ha ha to this day I still don't know how it ended!!!!

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:22 PM

I haven't watched that in forever.

Cacoethes 23-11-2016 07:33 PM

You should watch the ending Katy!!

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:36 PM

Anyone wanna come and bust me out of here? I wanna be at home.

Cacoethes 23-11-2016 07:42 PM

I would if I could voldy. I really would!

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:44 PM

:( I'm under threat of a section if I try to leave and it blows balls.

Cacoethes 23-11-2016 07:49 PM

Ugh that sucks. It won't be forever though. Might feel like it but you won't be

Buttons. 23-11-2016 07:50 PM

We will have to start training to be RYL ninjas and break you out :P

Voldemort 23-11-2016 07:52 PM

Yes! I need ninjas!
