Oh, that's a dilemma. Will you allow yourself to have cheesy chips one night this week anyway? Maybe you could decide if that's today or not.

nonperson 03-04-2019 06:53 PM

It's today. Just put them in the oven. =)

one_step_closer 03-04-2019 06:54 PM

Enjoy! Do you make your own or get a ready meal type thing?

one_step_closer 03-04-2019 06:55 PM

Oh, and I have a cheese related question for everyone. What is the best kind of cheese sauce to use for cauliflower cheese? Like powder mix, or recipe, or tub of sauce, or whatever?

nonperson 03-04-2019 06:57 PM

I just use frozen chips and grate some cheese and then stick it in the microwave for a bit so it melts.

It's probably nicer to make cheese sauce yourself. I have some of that Bisto type stuff... it's alright but not as good as home made.

one_step_closer 03-04-2019 07:00 PM

When I have tried to make cheese sauce in the past it ends up too thick so I put more milk in but then it's too watery so I put more flour in but then it's too thick so I put more milk in...

Do you just put cheddar on your chips?

Oh this talk of cheese!

Cacoethes 03-04-2019 07:00 PM

Cheesy chips are awesome

I had paella and a beer for dinner!

one_step_closer 03-04-2019 07:02 PM

No cheese?

How is your holiday going?

nonperson 03-04-2019 07:04 PM

Yup I just use cheddar.

Hm yes I see the problem with making it yourself. I can't say I've ever tried. There might be a sort of fresh sauce you can buy (like the tubs they do for pasta in the fridges) that would be nicer than packet mix or granules.

Very Spanish, Beckie!

Cacoethes 03-04-2019 07:19 PM

Holiday is great thanks!
I did sooo much today

I had Spanish omelette and Catalan tomato bread for lunch, was just continuing the Spanish theme! :p

nonperson 03-04-2019 07:20 PM

When in Rome! =P

Or, you know... Barcelona.

Stellata 03-04-2019 07:22 PM

Sorry I really don't know, Lindsay.

Hi everyone.

No snow or hail or ice here, but plenty of cold air! I've just had sausages and mash mmmm!

Cacoethes 03-04-2019 07:34 PM

Exactly np!

Its been raining for the last couple of hours here but other than that it's been lovely and sunny and warm!
I even ate my meals outside!

Sausage and mash is a great meal choice!

Stellata 03-04-2019 07:39 PM

Sunny and warm is very good!

Yes, ideal for this chilly weather, sausage and mash.

nonperson 03-04-2019 07:43 PM

I'm glad the weather is nice for you over there, Beckie.

Evening Katie. Sausages and mash is a great dinner.

Stellata 03-04-2019 07:43 PM

Hi np.

Cacoethes 03-04-2019 07:52 PM

Thanks np :)
Gutted that I'm going home tomorrow!

Whats everyone up to this evening?

nonperson 03-04-2019 07:53 PM

Just TV really.

Have you at least got most of the day there tomorrow, Beckie?

Stellata 03-04-2019 07:58 PM

I'm watching an old episode of 24 hours in A and E!

nonperson 03-04-2019 08:03 PM

I can't seem to watch tv about real life stuff any more.

Cacoethes 03-04-2019 08:06 PM

I'll probably have to leave for the airport around 3pm so I'll have a bit of time

nonperson 03-04-2019 08:28 PM

That's good. Make sure it's an action packed day then.

not_so_insig 03-04-2019 09:52 PM

Nonperson I am glad you got the Keeping Up Appearances theme tune.

nonperson 03-04-2019 11:06 PM

Thanks. =)

Stellata 04-04-2019 09:47 AM

I'm off to spend my birthday book tokens today, Foyles here I come!

tamobhuuta 04-04-2019 10:50 AM

When I was at school we got book tokens as prizes :)

one_step_closer 04-04-2019 10:59 AM

Books win life! I'd be interested to hear which books you buy Katie.

How are you all today?

tamobhuuta 04-04-2019 11:14 AM

I'm going to see a friend later.
It's very blustery here.
I'm ok, trying not to get stressed.

chinahorse 04-04-2019 12:02 PM

Morning people.

What are ypu doing with your friend tamo?

tamobhuuta 04-04-2019 12:21 PM

Just talking

not_so_insig 04-04-2019 01:19 PM

Afternoon all. It's very wet here. Doubt that I will be going for my weekly walk around the park at the bottom of the road.

chinahorse 04-04-2019 01:34 PM

That'll be nice tamo :-)

Oh dear dawn, hopefully it'll dry up a bit

Eska 04-04-2019 02:03 PM

It's tipping it down here too.

Cacoethes 04-04-2019 02:32 PM

At the airport. Its so nice and sunny and warm here. I don't want to go back to cold rainy England!!

Eska 04-04-2019 03:19 PM

Nooooo

chinahorse 04-04-2019 04:07 PM

Hope your travels go ok beckie.

It's cold and raining here too.

nonperson 04-04-2019 05:24 PM

Hello everyone.

Cold and rainy and windy here as well!

Cacoethes 04-04-2019 06:18 PM

Thanks Lillie
Waiting to board plane now
Won't get home until at the very least 11:30pm
Grrr

Whats everyone up to this evening?

one_step_closer 04-04-2019 06:22 PM

Bring us some nice weather back please Beckie. I hope your journey home doesn't feel too long.

I'll just be reading and watching TV this evening probably.

nonperson 04-04-2019 06:31 PM

That's really late to be getting home. =/ Can you get back from the airport ok at that time?

Just TV for me tonight probably. Need to sort some car documents out too. Fun times. =/

one_step_closer 04-04-2019 06:40 PM

Does that involve filling in lots of forms NP? I hope you can get a bit done and also have some relaxed time too.

nonperson 04-04-2019 06:41 PM

It involves me signing my life away! And trying to figure out how to scan the documents and get them on my PC so I can send them to the dealer. So far it's not going well...

one_step_closer 04-04-2019 06:44 PM

Well, sign something less valuable than your life away please! What kind of printer/scanner do you have?

nonperson 04-04-2019 06:45 PM

I was just being dramatic. A car is worth less than my life. =)

Erm it's a Canon something or other. I've downloaded a Windows Scan app so hopefully that helps.

chinahorse 04-04-2019 07:08 PM

Technology is befuddling.

Buttons. 04-04-2019 07:11 PM

Technology is befuddling. Hope your flight goes okat Beckie, hope your paperwork goes okay Np, hi Lins and Eska :) I've only just got soem of my eyesight back so you'll have to deal with typos for now :P

nonperson 04-04-2019 07:11 PM

It really is!

I've found I can do it onto an SD card instead of direct to my laptop, which is fine, and I luckily found one next to my printer... with the same documents from three years ago already on it! So it must have got the better of me last time as well.

nonperson 04-04-2019 07:11 PM

Hi Buttons!

Does that mean we can say whatever we want and you might miss it? >=)

Stellata 04-04-2019 07:12 PM

It is indeed!

I got a chick lit, a workbook on compassion and a book about cognitive analytic therapy [which I am doing]. Plus the latest Lucinda Riley my Mum was after.

It hasn't rained much here today thankfully.

Safe travels Beckie.

chinahorse 04-04-2019 07:17 PM

Buttons autocorrect ftw!

Nice selection of books there Katie.
