Cacoethes 10-12-2018 07:42 PM

Hey aubergine!
How are you?

Aubergine 10-12-2018 07:47 PM

I'm a bit rubbish. :wow:

Hwo are you?

not_so_insig 10-12-2018 07:53 PM

Sorry to hear that you are not so good Ducky.

Cacoethes 10-12-2018 07:55 PM

Sorry you're not feeling great aubergine
Whats up?

Im ok

not_so_insig 10-12-2018 08:10 PM

I have had my tea. It was rather good. I had some potatoes so I had mustard mash.

Aubergine 10-12-2018 08:11 PM

Had a sit down with my manager today. She said that she understands that I'm frustrated because I'm incredibly bright (she said bright enough to be a doctor hah), she doesn't think a new job is a good idea. So, though she'd support me in a reference, as a friend she thinks there's no way I should do it, as she wants to look after me and couldn't live with herself if something terrible happened. So... Ugh.

Aubergine 10-12-2018 08:12 PM

That sounds delicious, Dawn! I have ordered pizza. :D

Cacoethes 10-12-2018 08:14 PM

Your manager sounds like she cares about you a lot
Can see how that could be difficult to hear though

nonperson 10-12-2018 08:35 PM

It's still your choice to make, Aubergine! It's nice that your manager cares a lot about you and can be honest about what she thinks. It doesn't mean her opinion is right though.

I'm off to the shop for emergency jelly babies!

Cacoethes 10-12-2018 08:37 PM

Ooo I've not had jelly babies in years!
Funnily enough I was tempted to buy some today

nonperson 10-12-2018 08:39 PM

They're my emergency sugar supply for hypos and I realised today that my jar in the cupboard and various other tupperwares and mini sandwich bags of them that I carry everywhere are empty!

Cacoethes 10-12-2018 08:42 PM

Ah yes better refill those!!

nonperson 10-12-2018 10:01 PM

Back.

With pate... and mozzerella sticks because someone mentioned them here the other day and I've had a craving ever since.

not_so_insig 10-12-2018 11:18 PM

Welcome back nonperson.

nonperson 10-12-2018 11:47 PM

Thanks Dawn.

I'm really cold so am considering bed... but I'm not particularly tired, although going to bed early would probably do me good.

Random ramblings... sorry.

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 12:05 AM

Don't worry about the random ramblings that's what this thread is for.

Aubergine 11-12-2018 12:08 AM

You're lovely, Dawn. :)

It is cold tonight. I'm just planning the move from sofa to bed. Wondering how quickly I can do it!

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 12:11 AM

Thanks Ducky.

I am currently sat under a duvet. Waiting for the washing machine to finish.

nonperson 11-12-2018 12:13 AM

I have a blanket and a cat keeping me warm now. Still a bit cold though.

I hate the sofa to bed dash... and cold bedsheets are the worst!

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 12:19 AM

I have a cat on me too. For some reason my 17 year old has decided to spend most of the day sitting on me. Fortunately her claws aren't sharp.

nonperson 11-12-2018 12:19 AM

Does she like pummeling you to get comfy?

Aubergine 11-12-2018 12:22 AM

I really should have washed my uniform tonight, but I didn't and now it's too late to put the washing machine on. :( May have to wash it tomorrow and dry it with a hair dryer... I'm so cool. ;)

Eww. Cold bedsheets. Wah.

Have you eaten the pate yet, Person? Care to share?!

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 12:26 AM

No she doesn't pummel me. My 8 year old has a habit of kneading on my stomach. Which is a pain if I have stomach ache or his claws are sharp.

Aubergine 11-12-2018 12:27 AM

Aww. Cats. <3

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 01:19 AM

Some bad news. No Casualty on Saturday due to the Strictly come dancing final. Though Michael McIntyre is on they should have dropped that instead of Casualty.

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 12:27 PM

Morning all. I have a Tesco order coming today plus an Amazon parcel. Knowing my luck they will arrive at the same time!

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 12:57 PM

My tesco order came early. Now to sit and wait for the Amazon parcel.

one_step_closer 11-12-2018 01:25 PM

How are you occupying yourself while you're waiting Dawn?

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 01:27 PM

Hello peeps

one_step_closer 11-12-2018 01:50 PM

Hi Beckie, how are you?

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 01:53 PM

Cold!
Might have to give in and put the heating on!

How are you?

one_step_closer 11-12-2018 01:55 PM

I have my heating on :)

Did you get warm home discount this year? If so, use it!

I'm ok. Was up mega early (for me) so have a bit of a headache and am tired.

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 02:04 PM

I am watching tv whilst waiting for my parcel Lindsay.

one_step_closer 11-12-2018 02:06 PM

Is there anything good on TV Dawn?

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 02:06 PM

I did get the warm home discount which is an absolute live saver. I wouldnt be able to keep the electric on without it!
But i have gas heating, not electric so I still have to top up the gas.

one_step_closer 11-12-2018 02:07 PM

Same here Beckie. You can ask for it to be put on your gas account instead though.

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 02:09 PM

My cats have had their Christmas present in my tesco shopping order.

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 02:10 PM

I am watching a recording of a programme called defenders UK

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 02:22 PM

I didn't know that Lindsay!
It is more useful on my electric though.
I use far more electric than gas.

What did you get your cats dawn?

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 02:27 PM

I got them some treats Beckie. Specifically Dreamies and Felix treats.

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 02:28 PM

Aww that's nice

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 02:31 PM

They also have an advent calendar.

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 02:36 PM

Cute!

An hour and I can take this blimmin blood pressure thing off!

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 02:37 PM

Bet you are looking forward to that Beckie.

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 02:42 PM

Yep! Its so annoying!

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 02:44 PM

Does it hurt like hell? I find that whenever I have it done it hurts for several hours afterwards.

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 03:00 PM

It doesn't hurt me at all luckily

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 03:09 PM

That's good.

Cacoethes 11-12-2018 03:10 PM

Yep. Would have been awful if it did!
It inflates quite often

not_so_insig 11-12-2018 03:15 PM

Have you been to asda today Beckie?
