Good plan. I'm going to try do the same tomorrow since I need to pick up meds anyway. I took my my sketchbook with me. I was drawing insects, but tomorrow I might draw something abstract or marbles. Random, yes I know.

I am going out for coffee tomorrow. Not sure where yet because I am going to a retail park and they have more than one option. I am meeting with my friend who is going to give me my birthday present and card. Then she's off to see her grandchildren afterwards.

That will be good for you getting out tomorrow. What day is your birthday? Have you anything planned for it?

My birthday is on Wednesday Lorraine. I am going out for my birthday meal on Sunday and then on my actual day I will be going out somewhere. Not sure where but it's my choice. Probably go to a seaside resort with a pier (I love piers and am a member of the National Piers Society).

Seaside sounds like a nice way to spend your birthday. I love the seaside. I haven't been in ages. I really need to go again. It always inspires me to draw.

I love painting the sea. I haven't done any painting for ages though. I have about 10 piers within a 2 hour drive so I have plenty of choice. I have some vintage postcards of the sea including some which are over 100 years old!

That sounds nice. I like piers too.

Scotland has 2 piers Lorraine - at Dunoon and Rothesay. I haven't been to them. All I know is that Dunoon is a mug company!

I've been to Dunoon years ago. I was in Rothesay on holiday last year. It's nice there.

I have just finished my tea. It was an entirely vegetarian meal - tomato and cambert tarts with some chips. I like some vegetarian food.

That sounds really yummy. I've been vegetarian for 20 years, so I know quite a few vegetarian dishes. I like making things like chilli or curries.

I sometimes make a bean chilli. My favourite meal is pasta primavera though. It has pasta, dill, leeks, chives, runner beans, cheese and clotted cream.

That does sound good.

Oh and garlic. I forgot about that. I use my garlic crusher.

All of those sound super tasty!

I should probably go to sleep, but I feel like staying up a little bit longer. Anyone around?

A quiet day sounds nice and relaxing. There's not much on the telly though.

I'm sore and exhausted. My dad is picking me up later and taking me the 3 hours to his as I can't look after myself. I called the hospital and they said there's nothing they can do.

I have returned from my coffee with my friend. It was good to have a catchup. I was at a retail park and I thought that I would go into outfit there. Came out with 3 tops...oops.

Glad you had a nice catch up dawn. And oops but yay for new toPs. What are they like?

One has a cat face one, one is a black waterfall cardigan and the other is off white with a load of red flowers on. I don't normally go for flowers but it was so pretty and they had my size I went for it.

They sound lovely and very wearable.
