That sounds awful Lillie
And its so cruel when someone has yummy smelling food on a train! |
Hello all.
|
I'm very fidgety.
|
Oh dear Lillie
|
How's the journey Lillie?
|
I'm not sure if I've ever had pumpkin soup.
Hospital birthday would not have been fun. We can have a party in here! How are you doing Lillie? Hi Dawn, how are you? Hello Beckie, how's things? |
Pumpkin soup is lovely.
As is pumpkin pie! Things are fine thanks How are you doing Lindsay? |
The journey is grim.
|
What are you getting up to Beckie?
How much longer will you be travelling for Lillie? I'm a bit blah. |
Hope you're not still travelling Lillie.
Sorry you're feeling a bit blahLins *hugs gently* Never had pumpkin pie but would like to try it. I'm seeing my parents on the actual day at mine then going out for a meal with them, my grandma and Zed s\on Saturday fun times :) |
Hope you are home and relaxing now Lillie!
Sorry you're not feeling great Lindsay *sends hugs* I want pumpkin pie now Sounds like some good plans buttons! |
It's nearly butternut squash soup time. =o
|
Oo yummy!!
Cutting up a butternut squash is such a workout :p |
Tell me about it! I think it took me two hours to make the soup and most of that was just cutting up the squash.
But worth it... I tried a new recipe and it's very very nice. =D |
My nan said that you can poke holes in the butternut squash and stick it in the oven for a bit and you can just peel the skin off and its nicely soft!
Does sound delicious! |
It's squash, chorizo and black eyed beans.
You can do the same in the microwave by cutting a pumpkin in half. It does work well but turns bits of it to smush. |
Mmm yum!
I did not know that! |
It does save a lot of time. I still have half a butternut squash left so might have to use that technique for the next soup batch I make.
Are you still at your nan's? |
Yep. Going back home tomorrow
|
Have you been fed well while you've been there? =)
|
Oh yes, a bit too well! Lol!
|
Got to take a break from being sensible sometimes. ;-)
|
True!! :p
|
Or in my case I should be sensible more often...
But that can happen after finishing these M&Ms. =P |
Haha!
Which M&Ms have you got? |
The crispy ones. I don't like the peanut ones.
|
I'm also eating M&Ms but the peanut ones.
My journey took 8 hours. |
Ouch heck of a journey!
M&Ms suck. Morning all :) |
Morning our resident favourite Northerner!
|
Morning guys
|
Hi Beckie how are you?
|
Morning people :) How is everyone?
|
I am ok thanks.
I am waiting for 2 parcels. One is supposed to arrive any time between now and 3 pm and one is supposed to arrive between 12 and 3 pm. I bet they both come at the same time. |
I hope they arrive nice and on time Dawn :)
|
Hey all.
I'm in hospital for my neuro appointment and have had a million blood tests. Been here nearly 2 hours. Bored rigid and wanna sleep. |
Lillie, that doesn't sound fun! Two hours is a long time. Do you know when they'll set you free?
|
I may be drawing a pension when that happens.
|
Ah :S Not ideal then!
|
Hello.
Did your parcels arrive Dawn? Are you out of the hospital yet Lillie? Hi Buttons, Beckie, and Eska. How are you all? |

I'm ok! Escaped from work early in order to go to an appointment, I felt a bit bad leaving because it was starting to get fairly busy but oh well. I also need to go to B&Q and get some rawl plugs for plasterboard, whatever they are called, to fix the bookcases to the wall, and drop by the old house to pick up a couple of bits and pieces - might end up staying over there, it depends on how timings work out...
|
So busy Eska. It will hopefully be nice when you get most things sorted and can have some time to relax and enjoy your hard work.
|
Yep, hopefully! Though I quite like having constructive task-directed activity to do. I'm definitely looking forward to it being all sorted though, especially having the bookcases up so the last of the unpacking can be done.
|
How many bookcases do you have? Does this mean you've done the majority of your unpacking?
|
Busy bee eska!
Did the parcels come Dawn? I'm still in hospital, waiting for an MRI with contrast and possible lumbar puncture. I have escaped to the pasty cafe shop thing. And seen that the penguins in wh smiths are out! And half price so much love for them so my collection may grow very soon. |
I hope everything is ok Lillie
|
Lindsay it's two tall bookcases! Yes, most of the unpacking is done. We're making progress.
Oh Lillie, that doesn't sound remotely fun, I'm sorry :( I'm glad you've been able to escape a little. And yay penguins! |

Me and support worker worked hard to day to move things around a half new and way too big for tight living room for size of bed and I am now becoming quite the expert in wheeling into my kitchen backwards :P Swapped summer for winter clothes-always fun finding stuff you'd forgotten about. That sounds like a busy day Eska! Glad you found a pastry shop (and penguins!) and hope you aren't stuck there much longer Lillie. Did rather amuse myself for a second imagining real life penguins wandering round the hosp though! Hey Beckie how's things! |
Things are ok!
I am tired |
Haha real life penguins would be epic. Like in Mr poppers penguins!
I have now had the frankly bloody terrifying mri scan aaaaaand back to waiting in cold waiting room. The radiographer had a very radio dj sort of soothing voice. |
