I hope you have a great time Beckie.
|
Sounds awesome np!
No the song has no relation to Milan at all. That's why I'm confused Thanks lindsay! |
My ex psych came from Milan. At least that's where he did his degree in medicine in.
|
Groans! Yet another repeat of the Richard Osman House of games. How depressing? I wish i could watch ambulance or 999 anything is better than daytime **** with a bunch of D list celebrities. In a couple of weeks another “delightful” return of it takes two. Zzz I wanna sleep zzz
|
Switch to E4 for Big Bang Theory.
|
Not a fan of that at the moment.
|
Just arrived in Milan!
|
Well you did say anything would be better than what you were watching, yoyo...
Exciting, Beckie! |
Taskmaster is on next Thursday 9 pm Channel 4.
|
Yay taskmaster!
|
Morning. What do you all have planned?
|
Afternoon lindsay!
At least, it's Afternoon here! I've just been to the da vinci museum. It was awesome! What do you have planned? |
Very nearly afternoon here!
Just work for me today, blah. Very jealous of your museum visit there, Beckie. |
I'm seeing a close friend today for a catch up.
|
Ah work sucks np
The museum was so good! |
It does suck. Only a little bit left to go now though.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. =) What else have you been up to? |
That's good
Lots and lots of walking and getting lost! I did stumble upon a medieval castle. One of my greater archaeological finds :p It had a moat and everything! |
Nice. Got to love a castle with a moat. =o
|
I also saw an actual submarine today! And an old steam train. The wheels were as tall as me! They really don't look that big in the movies!
|
Ooh, a submarine isn't an every day sighting! Steam trains are cool too and yes, much more massive than they look on tv! I've climbed in and out of some and that was scary. =P
|
I wasn't expecting to see it! I turned a corner and bam! Submarine!
You're brave! I wouldn't want to be climbing in and out of them! |
Cool surprise. =)
How's your Italian? |
My Italian is terrible!
I pretty much know 'hello' 'goodbye' 'thank you' 'you're welcome' and 'good evening' |
How do you navigate without speaking the language?!
That would terrify me. o.o |
Milan sounds very exciting! I'm on holiday too, just to the New Forest.
|
I get by!
And most people speak English anyway. I do try to learn new phrases because I don't want to be one of these people who just expect everyone to speak English to me but I do manage Ninja post tamo! It is exciting! Oh I love the New Forest. It is lovely there |
The New Forest is very nice. =)
Everyone's having adventures - I feel left out! |
You need to go on an adventure np!
|
Adventures in the world don't feel safe right now. =/
|
Yeah I get what you mean
|
Are you having to quarantine for two weeks when you come back?
|
Dont come to Wales either as most of it is high coronavirus wise.
|
That's well outside my 5 mile travel radius anyway.
|
It is pretty here. But no opportunity to use my school languages. Small disaster, i have left my crucifix at home, i was so sure i packed it.
|
I can't find a definitive answer online np but I imagine I will have to quarantine when I get back.
Oh no tamo! Will you be ok without it? I had an early night last night. I was exhausted! Breakfast time now! |
What's on offer for breakfast? Personally if I was in Italy I'd want pizza for breakfast but I'm sure that's not an acceptable thing over there. =)
|
It's not :p
We have a selection of pastries and meats and cheeses. Also the usual cereal and toast. And a coffee machine. Oh and also cake. I just had a huge slice of cake |
I think Italy is on the safe list at the moment: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavi...avel-corridors
|
Cake for breakfast is goooooood!
|
Mmmm tastey cake.
|
I hope so np because quarantine would be a pain!
It was a very tasty cake tamo. And a huuuge slice! I'm on my way to the 'church of bones' As recommended by another ryler! |
What's the church of bones?
|
I copy and pasted this:
In 1210, when an adjacent cemetery ran out of space, a room was built to hold bones. A church was attached in 1269. Renovated in 1679, it was destroyed by a fire in 1712. A new bigger church was then attached to the older one and dedicated to Saint Bernardino of Siena. Unfortunately it wasn't open even though google said it was. But the cathedral was 5 minutes away so I went there and it was beautiful! And massive! |
that's cool but it's a shame you couldn't go inside. Milan sounds amazing.
|
Yes I was looking forward to it.
But at least the cathedral was close! Milan is great! I'm loving it. I plan on going on an open top bus tour tomorrow. There is a red line and a blue line so I'll do both! |
A room to hold bones... O.o
Bus tour sounds good. What's the weather like? |
I know!
The weather is great! Sunny and very warm! |
Perfect. =)
It keeps trying to rain here but it's not too bad. I have succumbed and put the heating on for the first time though. |
My phone says it's raining back home.
It must be rather chilly then! I hate.putting the heating on too. Just feels like a waste of money for some reason! |
My heating is on right now for a quick burst.
Sounds like you're seeing lots on your holiday Beckie. :-) |
