Better to have a little something than nothing at all. Maybe you're not hungry because you're not very active at the moment, Beckie.

Cacoethes 12-04-2021 01:45 PM

I don't think we have cuppa soups here.
I could get some pot noodles when i next get a co op order. I think they might be manageable.

Maybe np.
I'll try to eat something at dinner. Even if it's just a sandwich or something.

not_so_insig 12-04-2021 02:10 PM

Hope you ate something Beckie.

Cacoethes 12-04-2021 02:20 PM

Thanks Dawn.
Haven't yet but will try at dinner

How are you?

not_so_insig 12-04-2021 02:24 PM

I am ok. Drank tons yesterday but weirdly don't have an hangover. Yet what I drank is enough to give the average person a hangover.

Cacoethes 12-04-2021 02:45 PM

Weird! That's good you didn't get a hangover though. They are unpleasant!

tamobhuuta 12-04-2021 03:48 PM

It's a long time since I had a hangover. They're not good.

I'm rewatching some Once upon a time because L is away and there's bits I didn't catch first time. And I did some exercise :) Now it's tea time.

Pot noodles are great.

Cacoethes 12-04-2021 04:18 PM

Sounds good tamo!

They are indeed!

shadow-light 12-04-2021 05:36 PM

I used to think I hated pot noodles, but then recently got a couple and turns out they are nothing like what I remember. Also thy are the perfect zero motivation food

not_so_insig 12-04-2021 05:52 PM

I had a pot noodle before.

not_so_insig 12-04-2021 06:29 PM

tamobhuuta did you know that Doctors returns next Monday?

tamobhuuta 12-04-2021 06:59 PM

Ooo no I didn't :)

[Luna] 12-04-2021 09:19 PM

Beckie, did you manage to eat?

Pot noodles are disgusting

Cacoethes 12-04-2021 09:42 PM

I didn't have dinner but i had some cheese at supper.
Because i always have an appetite for cheese :p

nonperson 12-04-2021 10:31 PM

Cheese is goood.

I went through a phase when younger of eating pot noodles a lot but now they're just disappointing and a bit gross.

Super noodles on the other hand... >.>

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 09:41 AM

Super noodles are awesome!

Morning guys! How are we all?

shadow-light 13-04-2021 09:47 AM

i tend to buy the 11p shops own noodles and then add some soy sauce and such to give it flavour. the pot noodles are a "treat" for when I have manaed to earn money

though the real treat is when I manage to force myself into town to the asian super market and get the very nice noodles (which are cheaper than pot noodles) :P

[Luna] 13-04-2021 10:07 AM

Morning peeps, I’m venturing to the out out to get Joshy some bigger clothes.
Feeling a bit apprehensive.

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 10:09 AM

I like the cheap noodles too!

I wish i had an Asian supermarket near me. My mum used to take me to one when i was younger and there's so much cool stuff in there!

Ninja post Luna!
Clothes shopping is awful. Are there any particular shops you plan on going to?

[Luna] 13-04-2021 10:17 AM

I’m not sure. Probably Primark which will most likely be rammed :ermm:

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 10:19 AM

Ugh! I saw the pictures of the queues outside primark yesterday!

[Luna] 13-04-2021 10:28 AM

Yeah I’ll see what it’s like. I hate crowds at the best of times!
Annoyingly there’s not many affordable alternatives around here. Especially now Peacocks had shut down.

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 10:31 AM

That sucks.
We have a peacocks in Biggleswade but it's on its last legs i think!
Fingers crossed it's not too busy!

tamobhuuta 13-04-2021 10:50 AM

Hi everyone. We have an Asian shop in the town next to us.

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 10:51 AM

Hi tamo
How are you?

We do have an asian shop near me but it's inaccessible by foot! And i don't drive so can't get there

tamobhuuta 13-04-2021 10:54 AM

I am ok thanks. Same day as yesterday but that's a good thing.

[Luna] 13-04-2021 10:55 AM

In the queue for Primark, it’s ridiculously long but seems to be moving fairly quickly.
All the social distancing measurements are so anxiety provoking, I’m always scared I’m going to do something wrong!

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 11:03 AM

Glad you're ok tamo

I'm sure you'll be fine Luna.
I hope it's not too stressful

nonperson 13-04-2021 11:07 AM

Morning everyone.

Hope it goes as smoothly as possible, Luna. I know what you mean about social distancing rules - as long as you're doing your best to comply then that's ok! That's all anyone can do in some situations.

I saw a lady on the news yesterday who had so many Primark bags it looked like she'd bought the entire store!

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 11:10 AM

Hey np!
How are you?

I read that some people were bringing multiple suitcases to fill at primark!

nonperson 13-04-2021 11:15 AM

People are funny!

I'm ok, really bloody tired after the last three days but I get three whole days off now before doing it all over again. I slept straight through until about 9am this morning and could have stayed in bed much longer.

How're you?

Edit: actually thinking about it, I didn't sleep straight through but the waking times in the night were very minimal before getting back to sleep again. o.o

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 11:16 AM

Yay for 3 days off!

I'm still very much losing my mind! Lol!
I have ward round today at 4pm which is aaaaggeess away!

nonperson 13-04-2021 11:21 AM

Oh dear... =/

It's only 5 hours away, not that long. =P

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 11:28 AM

Feels like forever in these places!!

nonperson 13-04-2021 11:36 AM

Maybe block out the time?

An hour listening to music, an hour watching a tv show?

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 11:46 AM

Good idea!
I'm watching the second Harry Potter atm!

shadow-light 13-04-2021 11:54 AM

how people doing today?

Ive just had an hour phoncall with CAB to fill out my PIP form. I'm fairly proud of myself for coping with a one hour phonecall

York has 2 asian suppermarkets, one is 9 miles away the other 12 miles. Hence why I very rarely get to them, they are my reward for managing to get into town and cope with humans

nonperson 13-04-2021 11:55 AM

I love Gilderoy Lockhart. =P

nonperson 13-04-2021 11:56 AM

Well done on the hour long phone call! That must have been draining.

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 11:58 AM

Well done Hazel! That's awesome!
Phone calls are tough enough, let alone an hour long one!

Lockhart is super annoying!

tamobhuuta 13-04-2021 11:58 AM

I love Lockhart too. Have you read Order of the Phoenix? There's a sad bit with him.

nonperson 13-04-2021 12:01 PM

Yes. =/ I always forget he appears again in the books but never to be seen again in the films.

nonperson 13-04-2021 12:02 PM

And yes, he is totally annoying but so funny and Kenneth Branagh did a great job acting the role. =)

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 12:03 PM

I remember that too!
Though i haven't read the books in a long time

Yes he did do a great job!

You're right, I do try my hardest. Some places are a bit confusing.

I actually hated Chamber of secrets. I don't know why just found the book really dull.

The man is thick as two short planks lol

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 12:37 PM

Well done for surviving Luna!

Chamber of secrets is my least favourite of the films and books.

shadow-light 13-04-2021 12:38 PM

*has only read 3 HP books and not seen the films*

Cacoethes 13-04-2021 12:39 PM

Shock!!

shadow-light 13-04-2021 12:39 PM

I don't really do pop culture

[Luna] 13-04-2021 12:40 PM

I'm actually not a fan of the films. I've watched them all a few times but I don't think they did the books justice.
When I was 12/13 I was absolutely obsessed with Harry Potter but lost interest over the years. Now my hatred for JK Rowling makes me even less interested lol
