Would music help np?

Yep, can imagine your house needs a clean and tidy beckie after being away.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 11:39 AM

It's not too bad as my neighbour has been in and cleaned
Its just all the post I opened!

I've just had a visit from a guy from the water company as I've been ignoring their demands for payment for a very long time.
He was very nice and sorted a good plan out

chinahorse 04-12-2019 11:40 AM

Ah that's so nice of your neighbour.

Oh dear Beckie. Direct debits make things easier so you dont have to remember to pay them.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 11:44 AM

Yeah she's lovely!

Yep we've set up a direct debit now. It'll take forever to pay back but at least it's sorted.
And apparently my usage is suuupper low which is good!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 11:45 AM

Glad its sorted beckie.
Share the secret of super low usage?!

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 11:48 AM

Thanks :)
I don't even know!! I was really shocked as I thought I used a normal amount of water

You up to much today Lillie?

chinahorse 04-12-2019 11:50 AM

Suppose with time spent in hospital it like may make it look lower overall?

Been out to get milk and Pepsi because that's my current craving. Now waiting for a call from a plumber. And the gp to call and say theyve sorted out my sick note.

chinahorse 04-12-2019 11:52 AM

And am doing crochet. I am so damn sick of the blanket. SO SICK.

want to start something else but have to finish the giant never ending blanket

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 11:55 AM

Apparently it's been low for a few years now!

Hopefully the plumber can come out asap
Can't be fun having a broken toilet!

Well done for persevering with the blanket!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 12:03 PM

It still works if you risk the plague and fill it up with a bucket. So could be worse but yeah isn't nice. My neighbour said I can use hers if I need to. Shes a very cute old lady who waters the hedge between our front areas of land.

Haha thanks. No choice. It's a gift for the people I'm spending christmas with. They better appreciate it. I usually try to slip in how many hours of work it is (40+) in a subtle way so people understand it's not the cheap skate option.

one_step_closer 04-12-2019 12:38 PM

Hello everyone.

tamobhuuta 04-12-2019 12:41 PM

Hello again. I went to Mass and got a little present for L. All that's left to get now is cards and something for N.

one_step_closer 04-12-2019 12:49 PM

Is that for Christmas Tamo?

I think I want to get my brother one more thing but I'm not sure what.

tamobhuuta 04-12-2019 12:55 PM

Yeah, Christmas. And my mum's birthday.

chinahorse 04-12-2019 01:01 PM

Awh crud you've reminded me that dads birthday is the 3rd Jan.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 01:02 PM

One of my brother's birthday is Christmas day so that's q pain

Just been to asda
Good to get back into the old routine!
But they've moved everything!!!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 01:22 PM

That's just selfish of your parents beckie! Like pregnancy has a due date

Just means you'll have to go lots until you're familiar with it again beckie!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 01:29 PM

My cousin is due either new years eve or new years day I cant remember. And i told her she has to cross her legs until at least the 28th. :-P

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 01:41 PM

Exactly!!!
The due date was like the 10th of December and everyone was saying 'ooo you'll have a Christmas baby!' And my mum was like 'lol no way'
But here we are

Oh I will be going lots!

Haha! Is it her first baby?

chinahorse 04-12-2019 01:43 PM

Yep. Shes the 'baby' cousin as shes 3 years younger and the rest of us are the same age. Yet shes the one who lives in America, in her own home, with a husband and a career. And us older ones are bumbling about in the dark looking for food. :D

I sent her a baby blanket I made and dairy milk bars and it's not there yet and the post office better not have lost it.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 01:45 PM

First babies are almost always overdue apparently
Sounds like she's doing pretty well!
Can kind of relate, the rest of my family are doing pretty well for themselves and I'm the oldest!

Fingers crossed it's just delayed and not lost!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 01:49 PM

Meh. We are doing well in out own ways. Just more she has the stereotypical life.

I hope so. Though I realised a few days ago they didnt put a customs label on it.

one_step_closer 04-12-2019 01:51 PM

Did Asda have a welcome back party for you Beckie?!

I hope your package arrives safely Lillie.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 02:07 PM

That's true Lillie

Haha lindsay!
They should have done

They look very cosy bouquaise!

How annoying ophiuchus
I wish I could think of something funny but my brain is failing me!

not_so_insig 04-12-2019 02:09 PM

Afternoon all. I haven't been swimming due to the fact I am taking my cat to the vet. She keeps on wanting her food but I darent feed her because she's prone to vomiting and I don't want her being sick in the carrier. I will feed her once she's back from the vet though.

nonperson 04-12-2019 02:09 PM

Those socks look so warm and cosy.

I... have no funny things to share, sorry Ophiuchus.

chinahorse 04-12-2019 02:09 PM

Those socks are epic!! You have skills.

Pretty much an accurate description of every hospital that ever existed.

The only joke I know is stupidly rude :/

Hey lindsay:-)

not_so_insig 04-12-2019 02:13 PM

Also I have my Christmas decorations up. Have three decorations which weren't there last year. Let's hope that the kitties leave the tree alone!

nonperson 04-12-2019 02:16 PM

Whoa, that was a three-way ninja posting all at the same time up there.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 02:17 PM

I need to get some Christmas decorations.

This thread is busy today!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 02:17 PM

I now have a bottle of 'chew stopper' which I dug out from when he was a kitten and spray him every time he even looks at the tinsel. Working a treat. Highly reccomend.

chinahorse 04-12-2019 02:18 PM

Does Asda have any you like beckie?

not_so_insig 04-12-2019 02:20 PM

I sent a few pictures to my friend plus Lorraine who now has WhatsApp so we can send each other photos. Previously I had to email them.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 02:23 PM

Asda have quite a lot of nice decorations
Might have a proper look on payday!
Also going to a Christmas market in Norwich on Saturday so will have a look there too

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 02:30 PM

Yep!
I like going back there because I was born there
Don't think I could afford any of Delia's cooking!!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 02:35 PM

Proper Christmas markets are ace.

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 02:37 PM

Yep they are!
I'm going with a friend and we're doing our own little Christmas dinner on Sunday

tamobhuuta 04-12-2019 02:38 PM

I think I would find a Christmas market too overwhelming.

chinahorse 04-12-2019 02:41 PM

They can be tamo. Better in the week when people are at work and that.

Sounds lovely beckie. Can you cook?

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 02:43 PM

Yes they can be quite busy

Yep I can cook!
We tend to share the prep and cooking as well

Finally sorted through all the post!

chinahorse 04-12-2019 02:45 PM

Well done Beckie.

And cooking together with someone is really nice

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 02:53 PM

Thanks

Yes it is! :)

chinahorse 04-12-2019 02:59 PM

Phone is at 6% D:

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 03:01 PM

one_step_closer 04-12-2019 03:04 PM

Ohmygoodnesssobusyinhere!

one_step_closer 04-12-2019 03:14 PM

Now so quiet!

Cacoethes 04-12-2019 03:19 PM

Haha!
I'm still here!

not_so_insig 04-12-2019 03:21 PM

I was washing my hair. Felt like such an effort but I didn't want to go to the vet with manky hair.

not_so_insig 04-12-2019 03:27 PM

Now I am relaxing with a Christmas special of Keeping Up Appearances.

tamobhuuta 04-12-2019 03:44 PM

Well done for washing your hair insig.

I went for a little walk with my sister, I had to wrap up really warm.
