Cacoethes 25-09-2021 01:04 PM

Hey lindsay!

Yes I see what you mean!

tamobhuuta 25-09-2021 01:19 PM

Hi osc, how are you?

nonperson 25-09-2021 01:26 PM

Curry for lunch is acceptable though?

I had vegetable masala and tarka dhal. It was just store bought stuff though but still so good!

tamobhuuta 25-09-2021 01:28 PM

Definitely acceptable, and your curries sound yum.

nonperson 25-09-2021 01:36 PM

Tarka dhal is lentil, that was my favourite.

We used to go out for a family lunchtime buffet at the local Indian restaurant.

I've just received a load of Indian spices in the post today actually!

tamobhuuta 25-09-2021 02:07 PM

Nice :) !

nonperson 25-09-2021 02:33 PM

It's a 3 month subscription thingy that I had a gift voucher for.

one_step_closer 25-09-2021 04:48 PM

I never use spices since I never really cook from scratch.

How is everyones day going?

Cacoethes 25-09-2021 05:10 PM

I don't use spices either

My day has been good!
How about you?

nonperson 25-09-2021 05:19 PM

I don't use spices either. This thing provides just enough to make a certain meal. I'm hoping it will motivate me too cook something properly for a change, even if it's just once a month.

My day is meh. I need to go back to work soon. Cba...

nonperson 25-09-2021 05:57 PM

Oh goddammit, my bin day is changing yet again. Mondays, fortnightly. I'm never going to get it right...!

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 08:56 AM

Oh no np! Hate it when bin days change!

Morning everyone!

nonperson 26-09-2021 09:44 AM

Morning Beckie and all.

How's everyone doing?

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 10:01 AM

Morning np!

I'm ok.
Been for my contraceptive depot and picked up my bike so I can now chill for the rest of the day!

How are you?
Up to much today?

tamobhuuta 26-09-2021 11:09 AM

Hi everyone. I am ok, my only activity is church, it will be good to get out the house.

nonperson 26-09-2021 11:18 AM

I'm at work this morning, feeling very unmotivated, and can't get home until after 1pm because a running event is blocking access to my house...!

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 11:29 AM

Oh nooo np!
How annoying!

nonperson 26-09-2021 11:43 AM

Really annoying, especially as there isn't actually much to do/that I can be bothered doing/that won't wait until it rains tomorrow... haha. Just been sat on my arse the last half hour...

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 11:47 AM

At least you're getting paid for not doing much work!
Though time goes faster when you're busy

not_so_insig 26-09-2021 01:55 PM

Did you ride your bike back Beckie?

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 02:00 PM

Nope! The handlebars have become a bit off centre from my last crash so I'm going to need to take it up to halfords for them to fix it.

How are you Dawn?

nonperson 26-09-2021 02:02 PM

Yeah, I kinda prefer weekends where it's manic, running around watering everything in sight. Autumn's a tricky season.

I think our jobs are similar in a way. You have demanding customers wanting drinks, and although my customers are plants they're still demanding water all the time! XD

Afternoon Dawn.

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 02:06 PM

Haha! Yes it is quite similar! XD

I'm off until Wednesday now.
Then working 4 days in a row

nonperson 26-09-2021 02:12 PM

Ooh that's a nice long break.

I should be returning to more normal hours and only one weekend every couple of months now. September seems to have all blurred into one very long working week... x.x

Maybe I'll even book a week off... *gasp* =o

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 02:16 PM

Yes!

That's good!

You should book a week off! You deserve it!

My neighbour has just done my garden for me :-D
And the great escape is on!

nonperson 26-09-2021 02:22 PM

I definitely will.

Your neighbour is awesome. Is your garden just lawn?

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 02:23 PM

She is
Yes. It's not even a proper garden. Just a strip of grass outside my house. But I have some bits at the side so I can plant stuff. Which I didn't do this year

nonperson 26-09-2021 02:29 PM

It's still nice to have an outside space, even if it's small.

My garden has most definitely gone wild this year. I've still only strimmed and mown half the lawn... my parents are really not going to be impressed next weekend =|

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 02:31 PM

Yes definitely :)
It's still big enough for planting flowers and sunbathing (if I did sunbathe!)

Oh dear!
:/

nonperson 26-09-2021 02:43 PM

There's a lot you can do with a small space if you wanted to!

Yeah, I'm a little worried my mum will invite herself to stay over and help with it =/

not_so_insig 26-09-2021 02:46 PM

I am ok thanks everyone. Slept for nearly 12 hours.

I am going to wash my hair later though. Did everyone's tv go down last night? Mine didn't because I was watching recordings but apparently a sht load of TV channels did.

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 02:51 PM

That is true!

Wouldn't you want your mum's help?

My TV was fine dawn. Unless it all went down when I was at work

nonperson 26-09-2021 03:20 PM

I'd like the help maybe, but I'd feel pressured by it. Plus I dunno how I feel about her staying!

No idea about my tv - I was probably watching iplayer or nowtv.

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 03:21 PM

I know what you mean np

nonperson 26-09-2021 03:30 PM

I'll get it done when I get it done, that's my moto.

My sister is staying over next weekend. I'm minorly stressing about that but she's much more chilled out than my mum is. =P

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 03:36 PM

That's fair enough!

I stress about people staying over too!

nonperson 26-09-2021 03:42 PM

They disrupt my routine... The personal space I need to feel content is bigger than my house, unfortunately! Maybe I'll ask her to camp outside in the garden. >.>

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 03:46 PM

Yep! Same
I don't think that's unreasonable :p

nonperson 26-09-2021 04:25 PM

She'd have all sorts of company out there - 3 cats, maybe some pheasants, frogs and toads... and there's something that keeps screeching really loudly in the evenings over the fence by the pond which I think will be very enjoyable for someone trying to sleep outside. =P

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 04:28 PM

Haha! Well, it's sometimes nice to be one with nature! :p

nonperson 26-09-2021 04:29 PM

Exactly. She lives in the middle of a big city, she could do with some nature time.

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 04:43 PM

Well there we go!

I've agreed to go into work tonight.
Even after convincing myself I wouldn't XD
But they are really desperate and I'm not doing anything.
It'll only be for a few hours

nonperson 26-09-2021 05:34 PM

Remember you can say no though if you just want to rest! Hope it goes quietly. =)

tamobhuuta 26-09-2021 06:32 PM

Sad news, my sister's horse has to be put down. She hasn't come home yet but she's going to be devastated.

nonperson 26-09-2021 07:11 PM

Oh no... I'm so sorry to hear that. =(

Cacoethes 26-09-2021 09:51 PM

It was not quiet!
It was chaos!

That's so sad tamo
I've had horses pass away and it's awful

Cacoethes 27-09-2021 10:06 AM

Morning everyone!

one_step_closer 27-09-2021 11:25 AM

Morning Beckie, how are you today? What are you getting up to?

Cacoethes 27-09-2021 11:27 AM

Morning lindsay!
I am ok thanks!
Not up to much. Got a tesco delivery coming between 1-5

How about you?

one_step_closer 27-09-2021 11:32 AM

I hope you've got some tasty things in your Tesco order. Between 1-5 is quite a long range.

I'm not doing much either. Just washed my hair and put a wash on. The beep on the washer-drier is so quiet the clothes usually sit in the drum for a while before I realise the cycle has finished.
