My mum made a chick pea curry, it was good.
Mmm pizza, what flavour? |
Morning everyone, how are you all?
|
Hi osc! How are you? I'm doing ok, had a good sleep.
|
Hey guys :-)
Anyone up to much? |
Hi china.I'm ok, promised my mum I would do some dusting. How are you?
|
Dusting is a boring job.
I'm crocheting and watching Moana. |
Dusting is fine, it's hoovering that sucks.
|
I don't actually know the best way to get rid of dust. Dry cloth? Wet cloth?
|
Damp cloth. Traps the dust :)
|
Thank you Lillie.
I hoovered today and have been out for a walk. Has anyone got plans for the rest of the day? |
I use a feather duster and a dry cloth.
|
I use a dry cloth unless it's glass. Then I use windolene.
I have been for a walk to the next village via the park at the bottom of the road. I woke up with cramp this morning so the exercise helped my leg. |
I missed Doctors so I'm hoping to watch it now.
|
Oh no, all the options of dusting! I'll have to try them all and report back.
Did you enjoy your walk Dawn? What's the weather like? I hope you get to watch Doctors Tamo. |
Glad the walk helped Dawn.
Hope you get to watch it tamo. Haha thatllkeep you busy lindsay. I have cooked dinner and did the dusting while I was waiting. As its pertinent to this conversation I use antibacterial spray and a damp cloth. But doing that and washing up has ruined my nail varnish. |
Antibac spray and sanitiser are ruining my hands. =(
|
My hands are dry just because of normal soap.
|
You have to use something decent like E45 every time you wash your hands when you wash them a lot. I also very very rarely sanitize and will wash, dry and moisturise instead. Only way I've found to keep your hand from cracking. And I wash my hands a lot at work. At least 4 times an hour usually.
|
Yeah same really! Plus my hands often get wet at work and that dries them out too.
|
Moisturiser doesn't stay on my hands at work really. Plus can't use it when touching some things. I'm going to cake my hands with special vaseline stuff now though and be slippery all evening.
|
Will eat more chocolate first though.
|
Livestock barrier creams like those for cow udders are meant to be fantastic. Not tried it myself. Dont waste money in that o Keefe stuff. Burna due to the urea and doesnt work any better than any bog standard emollient.
|
Can you not wear gloves at work?
|
I wear fabric gloves for some things but they're too thick for everything. And the plastic ones make.my hands sweaty and gross.
Weirdly some of the barrier creams actually have a bad effect on young plants so I don't want to risk using that, touching things and then having it all die, lol. |
I did enjoy my walk thanks. The weather has been warm with a slight breeze here today. I sat on the bench (the benches are more than 2 metres apart) and listened to the local clock striking.
|
Ah fair enough np. And lol I'm loving the world moaning about how sweaty and uncomfortable full PPE is. Welcome to my life. Was funny having CPN jn my house yesterday in full PPE. Suppose it was just out of context?
Was thinking more a barrier cream to put on overnight? |
Oh yeah I really should.make more of an effort to put it on overnight.
Yeah I quite often have to wear full PPE and respirators and a full plastic suit to spray chemicals in summer so I also know how awful it all is. Definitely would be weird seeing someone like that in your house though! |
Plastic suit sounds hideous!
At least my actual uniform is a lot like wearing pjs and slippers. |
Ooh sounds comfy!
Yes the plastic suits aren't the best. We had bright yellow ones once, it was like being a baked banana, hehe. |
Crookshanks licks the emollient off my hands so I only get to use it in bed at night.
I think seeing my CPN in full PPE might upset me. |
Mmm, that can't taste very nice.
PPE can definitely look really shocking, especially if it's not something you're used to seeing. |
There were guys in full PPE doing temperature checks at Venice airport when I went early February. Back to Gatwick and absolutely nothing!
|
And nothing at all like that when I went to the US in late Feb or flying back to Heathrow. It just hadn't got that bad in the UK at that point, I guess.
|
I suppose so
They should have at least had something though All they had were posters saying if you'd been to China recently then let them know! And the signs were just printed off and only in English |
Good morning people. I would have had an excellent night but woke up needing the loo. But I got to hear an owl!
|
Owls are such amazing animals.
|
Aww owl <3 Do owls live everywhere? Stupid question.
Morning everyone. |
I don't know osc. Maybe a question for Google.
|
What are you going to be doing today Tamo?
|
Not much, my CPN texted me this morning do ask if he could call, I said yes. What are you up to?
|
Morning everyone
I was woken up by the cleaners wanting to come in Also the psychology assistant and I have an appointment with the psychologist at 1pm. A video call apparently |
I hope the phone call is helpful Cacoethes.
|
Thanks :)
|
I wish my CPN would call!
|
Has he phoned yet Tamo? Waiting for calls is horrible.
How did your call go Beckie? Luckily I'm not waiting on any calls today! |
He rang me. It'll be a while until I can speak to the psych because this one's leaving.
|
My call was fine thanks.
Apparently I'm 'interesting' :/ |
Hmmm, that's... interesting!
|
Haha!
She was very nice though |
That's good, did she have any ideas?
