Cacoethes 26-01-2018 05:39 PM

Sounds good!

Im seeing the fam tomororw

nonperson 26-01-2018 05:41 PM

Also sounds good. =)

I'm really hyper right now...!

Sketchy 26-01-2018 05:46 PM

Is it your birthday on Sunday?

nonperson 26-01-2018 05:50 PM

Nope... I don't have birthdays any more.

(But yes it is really, shhh..!)

Sketchy 26-01-2018 05:51 PM

Yay, I hope you have a good birthday.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 05:51 PM

I wish I was hyper
Might actually get some things done XD

happy nonbirthday for Sunday! :p

nonperson 26-01-2018 05:55 PM

Ha, yes I definitely have nonbirthdays!

And thanks - it's actually nice to be going home for a meal, don't usually do anything.

I'm not in a useful hyper mood... Still sitting down doing naff all. =)

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 05:59 PM

Going for a meal is what I like to do on birthdays!

Ah ok! Lol!

nonperson 26-01-2018 06:02 PM

Just chatty hyper, which is unusual because there's no alcohol involved. Weird!

Last year I went out for a meal but it was actually my friend's baby shower! It was a secret birthday celebration for me, lol.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 06:12 PM

Hmmm! Odd!

Wheres your favourite place to eat?

nonperson 26-01-2018 06:27 PM

There's an Indian/Thai restaurant near home that does buffet lunches on Sunday. Always choose there to eat out.

Otherwise don't really eat out very often but if I do it's usually places like Harvester or local pub grub. =)

not_so_insig 26-01-2018 06:27 PM

My favourite pub has under new management. Judging from the specials they are having fancy food and jus. I liked it because it had traditional style pub grub/British food. I can't see what's wrong with good old fashioned gravy!

nonperson 26-01-2018 06:28 PM

Lots of old pubs are turning into gastro-pubs now... Got to make things modern and fancy to make money, I guess!

Aubergine 26-01-2018 06:35 PM

Hey. :)

not_so_insig 26-01-2018 06:38 PM

They were number 1 on trip advisor for the past 5 years and if they turn it too fancy I can see it losing the title. It's set in a traditional area so if they turn it into a gastro pub it won't do so well. It's popular because of its traditional style.

one_step_closer 26-01-2018 06:39 PM

Hi Aubergine, how are you?

I see we have turned to food chat again. My favourite. I had some pasta bolognese for dinner then ate a small tub of Pringles. It's not just Pringles that has the saying 'one you pop you just can't stop' for me, it's food in general. Minus the popping bit.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 06:50 PM

Hey Aubergine!

Ah yes back to the food discussion!

I think I'm going to make fajitas tomorrow

one_step_closer 26-01-2018 06:51 PM

Will you share your fajitas with me? You can use that machine that Willy Wonka has to transfer it from your TV to mine.

nonperson 26-01-2018 06:52 PM

I should be making shepherd's pie tonight.

Hi Aubergine! Missed you around here yesterday!

one_step_closer 26-01-2018 06:53 PM

Sounds nice nonperson, hope you do and you enjoy it.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 06:55 PM

Haha! Yep i will do that Lindsay :p

Sounds good nonperson!

Aubergine 26-01-2018 06:59 PM

Hey! I missed you too. :) Migraines are not my idea of fun. All better now though and I've finished work for five days! :D

How are you all?

I'm having fishcakes for dinner again. With mash and sweetcorn. Yum! Anyone else having anything nice?

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 07:03 PM

Yay Aubergine!
Sounds like a yummy dinner.
I just had pasta with tomato sauce and some veg.

nonperson 26-01-2018 07:04 PM

I get migraines occasionally so completely know how un-fun they are.

I've never made shepherd's pie before...! This recipe has baked beans and sweet potato mash on top so should be amazing. Just need to get off my bum and make it...

Aubergine 26-01-2018 07:11 PM

That sounds nice, Beckie! :) I like pasta a lot.

Oh that sounds delicious, Person! I love sweet potato. And bakes beans. And mince. And everything, really. :P Apart from liver. I really don't like liver.

nonperson 26-01-2018 07:14 PM

I don't think I like liver either. Can't say I've had any that I remember but apparently used to have it as a young child, ick.

I like pâté though... Isn't that made from liver?

Aubergine 26-01-2018 07:16 PM

Yes, pate is generally made from liver! It doesn't taste like liver though. I like pate too. Quite like it on Dutch crispbreads. :)

nonperson 26-01-2018 07:17 PM

Also.... really should read recipes properly... This is going to take like an hour to cook... Better get started or I'll be eating at midnight.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 07:17 PM

I tried liver once. Not a fan.

I do like pretty much all food though!!
I like some pate

Get going nonperson!
Sounds like it will be worth it!

Aubergine 26-01-2018 07:17 PM

You can do it, Person! Just think of how nice it's going to be!

nonperson 26-01-2018 07:17 PM

*puts on cooking music and disappears for a while* =)

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 07:20 PM

See you later nonperson!!

Sketchy 26-01-2018 07:36 PM

Hey all. I’m back.

I’m back in my own flat and just out the shower. It was sad leaving Molly in my sister’s flat, but my sister will be home from work soon, so she won’t be alone for very long. Molly was giving me kisses and being adorable.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 07:37 PM

Hey Lorraine!

Awww. When will you see her next?

Sketchy 26-01-2018 07:39 PM

Tomorrow. I’m staying overnight for a girly night in with my sister, and Molly of course. Sister has sparkling rose wine. :)

Aubergine 26-01-2018 07:43 PM

That sounds really lovely, Lorraine. :)

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 07:43 PM

Ooo lovely!

Aubergine 26-01-2018 07:43 PM

I really want some Turkish Delight.

Sketchy 26-01-2018 07:47 PM

Ooh I love Turkish delight! I might buy some for my sister and me tomorrow now you’ve got me thinking about it.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 07:54 PM

Im not a fan of turkish delight
But I like a lot of things now that I didn't used to like so maybe i like it now. Lol!

Sketchy 26-01-2018 07:57 PM

I used to always buy Turkish delight for the exchange students at art school to see their reaction to it. One American lady called it perfumed chocolate. She thought it was strange.

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 07:58 PM

Hi all!

Sketchy 26-01-2018 07:58 PM

Hey there. How are you?

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 07:59 PM

Hey Emma!
Nice to see you in here!

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 08:03 PM

Hey! Thanks Becky. Muddling along thanks. All your talk of food is making me hungry lol. How is everyone?

Sketchy 26-01-2018 08:04 PM

I’m ok thanks.

I’ve still to make my dinner. Going to have a quorn escalope.

Pomegranate 26-01-2018 08:05 PM

Oooooh, I’ve actually never tried quorn. Is it breaded?

Sketchy 26-01-2018 08:07 PM

Yes. It’s a quorn fillet with cheese and breadcrumbs. It’s yummy and easy to cook. I’m being lazy tonight.

Cacoethes 26-01-2018 08:08 PM

We talk about food a lot :p
I am also hungry.
Think I'll have an alpen bar!

Quorn is nice!
