Zurg 20-02-2023 01:17 PM

Ouch, Beckie!!! Getting just about anything in the eye is nature’s way to demonstrate our obvious weakness!!!

I hope you'll get your meds soon, Tamo :)

Happy birthday Jen :D
Will there be cake??? If so, what kind??? And when should i arrive??? ;)

I had a bad weekend. I hope for some peace of mind and clarity of the ditto this week….

one_step_closer 20-02-2023 02:36 PM

Hi everyone.

Happy Birthday, Jen! I hope you're in a good place where you can enjoy your day.

Ouch, Beckie. Everything must be kept away from eyes! I'm glad you're ok. What are you doing today?

Well done with the shower and hair wash, Tamo. You're a superhero! I hope your meds can be sorted out. I'm glad your Mum can do things like that for you.

Sorry you had a bad weekend, Kat. I'm not sure what you mean by 'I hope for some peace of mind and clarity of the ditto this week.'

Cacoethes 20-02-2023 02:48 PM

My face wasnt even near the hand soap! So it's super bad luck that it somehow squirted into my eye rather than onto my hand like it was meant to.

I had double pilates, seeing crisis between 2-4 and work at 6.

What are you guys up to today?

one_step_closer 20-02-2023 02:50 PM

Bad soap! Doesn't it squirt down not up? At least you're ok.

Will you be ok going to work? I hope crisis are useful.

I went to Tesco, put a washing on, and hoovered.

Cacoethes 20-02-2023 03:09 PM

Yep it does. Which makes it even weirder!

Probably not but I'll go anyway.
It's monday night so probably won't be too stressful

Sounds like a productive day!

long road 20-02-2023 03:33 PM

Thanks for birthday wishes everyone! Iam having a good day so far. Got a few nice presents and just been out for lunch at gastro pub place. Had steak and chips and then sticky toffee pudding with custard for dessert.

Hope work goes smoothly Beckie and the crisis people are ones you like.

Going to get some rest now as feeling a little wobbly. And then later I have snacks in for and at home movie night.

There isn't cake yet Zurg but there will be plenty of sweets to chose from

Cacoethes 20-02-2023 04:17 PM

Ooh yummy!
Glad you're having a good birthday!

Zurg 20-02-2023 04:28 PM

Yay for good birthday so far :D

I've tried to stay busy. But now i feel a bit tired. Thinking about making some dinner soon. I wish they would invent the nice and nutritious dinner that cooks itself, already. Preferably also cleans up after itself…

one_step_closer 20-02-2023 04:31 PM

Take care of yourself, Beckie. I hope crisis are useful and work is at the right pace for you.

Sounds like a lovely birthday, Jen. I hope your rest helps you to continue with the celebrations.

Dawn (I hope you see this, didn't know if I should PM) thank you so much for the book and dvd. So kind of you and much appreciated.

Cacoethes 20-02-2023 04:34 PM

That would definitely be the dream zurg!

Thanks lindsay

one_step_closer 20-02-2023 05:39 PM

Missed you there, Kat. What you need is another human who cooks your meals in their house and brings it to you without saying anything so you don't have to interact. (if you don't want to that is). How was Storm Otto with you?

Zurg 20-02-2023 05:43 PM

That's genious, Lindsay!!! I am a fan!!! Just hand me the food, no awkward chit chat or eye contact :D
Otto the storm was a bit disappointing tbh. The medias had almost promised us a storm of apocalyptic dimensions and yet i did not see the Four horsemen, the birth of the antichrist or anything remotely entertaining at all!!! Minus 3 stars, would NOT recommend storm Otto!!!! >:(

one_step_closer 20-02-2023 05:52 PM

I'm glad it was disappointing because it meant you were safe.

Cacoethes 20-02-2023 06:03 PM

The weather people always like to hype up storms or weather in general.
We get promised 'more snow than ever' or 'record temperatures' every single year and it rarely happens.

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 08:41 AM

Morning everyone

tamobhuuta 21-02-2023 10:40 AM

Morning. How are you?

one_step_closer 21-02-2023 11:34 AM

Morning both. How are you? What's your plans for today?

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 11:35 AM

Morning!
I'm ok thanks.
Had gym this morning. Double pilates and glow beatz later. And also need to go to asda as per usual!

How are you guys?

one_step_closer 21-02-2023 11:38 AM

Your usual then! I hope you get something tasty from Asda, like an Easter egg. I hope you have a good day.

I'm not sure how I am. Got the gym group this afternoon so hopefully that will be alright.

tamobhuuta 21-02-2023 12:04 PM

Hi osc :) j hope you enjoy the gym group.

Busy day Cacoethes.

I don't have any plans.

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 12:15 PM

Unfortunately I have 9 to last me until Friday and easter eggs are like half of that!
I'll see if there is anything tasty in the reduced section!

Hope gym group is ok!

Chilled day for you then tamo!

tamobhuuta 21-02-2023 12:51 PM

Yes :) but I might have a uti :(

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 12:53 PM

Drink lots of cranberry juice!

long road 21-02-2023 01:15 PM

Hope it clears up quickly Tamo. UTI's suck.

Enjoy Gym group this afternoon OSC.

And hope you enjoy all your various classes today Beckie.

I am having a coffee then headed outside for a little bit. Managed a shower this morning which felt really nice. Then I have neuro physio coming to my flat at 3pm.

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 01:41 PM

Thanks!

Hope your appointment goes ok
Well done for showering!

tamobhuuta 21-02-2023 04:25 PM

I hope the neuro physio is OK long road.

I'm feeling better now.

one_step_closer 21-02-2023 05:40 PM

How is everyones day going?

long road 21-02-2023 05:40 PM

Yay for feeling better!

Neurophysio was ok but I am really tired from trying out exercises and things. Probably going to grab a little nap.

one_step_closer 21-02-2023 05:45 PM

That does sound tiring. I hope a nap helps.

tamobhuuta 21-02-2023 07:11 PM

I hope the nap helps.

What are you up to osc?

I'm watching Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 07:16 PM

Nap sounds good!

I'm back from pilates. Whoever did that plan clearly woke up and chose violence when they came up with it. Jesus.

tamobhuuta 21-02-2023 07:19 PM

I thought pilates was meant to be gentle!

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 07:43 PM

A lot of people think that!
People think it's like yoga (it's not) But there is absolutely nothing gentle about pilates! Especially reformer pilates!

tamobhuuta 21-02-2023 07:44 PM

I won't be trying it!

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 08:03 PM

It's really good for strength and flexibility.
But it's not for everyone!

long road 21-02-2023 08:06 PM

Part of my new exercises from physio are yoga. Starting very slow an gentle and trying to get my body and nervous system better integrated.

The yoga exercises are most definitely gentler than the stuff my mum does for Pilates! And they don't let her do the really hardcore bits due to her osteoporosis. Pilates can be lots of levels of difficulty though, Mum built up intensity gradually when she started in 2016 and she didn't use weights until a few years in. You seem to need a lot of core strength to do moves properly in both though.

What is different about Reformer Pilates Beckie?

Cacoethes 21-02-2023 10:09 PM

Definitely a good idea to start slowly!

Google 'reformer bed pilates'
(I would post a pic but i don't know how!
It looks like a torture device tbh. And sometimes it is XD
There's a moving platform, springs for added weight/tension, footbar, straps and other random accessories. We have the footplates atm which means we can do standing series. So one foot on the footplate, one foot on the moving part for like squats and side splits etc.
Hard to explain!
But yeah. You do need a lot of core strength! And balance.

Cacoethes 22-02-2023 09:24 AM

Morning everyone!

not_so_insig 22-02-2023 11:09 AM

Morning all. Sorry for the radio silence it's just that I had a bout of being tired all the time so wasn't up for conversation.

Lindsay I am glad that you got the stuff I sent you. I got the book off your amazon wishlist as you posted it on Facebook. You will have to lmk what you think of it.

It's my birthday today. I have had scrambled egg on toast for breakfast. Lorraine very kindly sent me a present which included a cat ornament. I had some jewelry of which I am wearing now from my mum and dad plus auntie.

Cacoethes 22-02-2023 11:09 AM

Happy birthday

not_so_insig 22-02-2023 11:11 AM

Thanks Beckie

tamobhuuta 22-02-2023 11:21 AM

Happy birthday :) do you have any plans for today?

How are you Cacoethes?

Cacoethes 22-02-2023 11:26 AM

I'm ok. Except the trial person was meant to call at 10am and crisis were/are also coming this morning. But no call from either so far. And I have to leave for work in 45 mins. :plain:

How are you?

not_so_insig 22-02-2023 11:39 AM

I am seeing my friend later but other than that no plans. Might watch The Railway Children Return if I have the time.

tamobhuuta 22-02-2023 12:31 PM

That's annoying Cacoethes.

I hope you enjoy it insig.

Cacoethes 22-02-2023 12:45 PM

It is annoying. I'm at work now and they still haven't called *thumbs up emoji*

not_so_insig 22-02-2023 01:10 PM

*shakes fist at crisis team*

Idk what to say about them.

one_step_closer 22-02-2023 02:58 PM

Why are some professionals so unreliable? I'm sorry no one called at the times they said they would, Beckie. I hope work is ok at least.

Happy Birthday, Dawn. I hope you have a lovely day. I will be reading the book you sent me soon.

How are you, Tamo?

long road 22-02-2023 03:26 PM

Happy Birthday Dawn! February is clearly the best month to have a birthday. (Mine was on Monday)

I am knackered today. Doing more on my birthday and then neurophysio yesterday have combined and left me achy with very little energy. Woke up late and haven't been outside yet. Might try and pop out to the garden in a little bit.

tamobhuuta 22-02-2023 04:35 PM

The weather here is horrible, I'm glad I've nowhere to go. I pity people with jobs and social lives.
