Especially the rain.
The bridge near my mum's is flooded so not sure if the bus is going to go all the way there tomorrow. There are routes around it as the other bridges on the other side are currently still open.
Downside to living near a river!

chinahorse 22-12-2019 07:15 PM

I feel you beckie. Bottom of my town is flooded and we struggled to get back from my PIP assessment on Friday because of the huge amount of rain and that was just bad roads and field run off. And CPN was worried about getting home, which I think is the other side of said river.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 07:22 PM

What a pain!

Indigo. 22-12-2019 07:23 PM

Luckily the shop is super close, like, two minutes away! I'm going to motivate myself by getting something nice. Perhaps cheese!

It sounds like the flooding is awful! I think our river is okay, haven't heard anything on the news about it so far.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 07:31 PM

Cheese is amazing

Fingers crossed your river stays behaving itself!

nonperson 22-12-2019 07:38 PM

Cheese is amazing and I have a fridge full of it that I can't eat until Christmas Day/ Boxing Day! >.<

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 07:46 PM

Oh no!
That's difficult!

nonperson 22-12-2019 07:47 PM

Tell me about it!

Knew I should have bought two lots of everything.

Indigo. 22-12-2019 07:56 PM

I don't have cheese very often due to lactose intolerance but stilton doesn't really cause me problems & I have medication anyway.

NP that sounds difficult! Could you get some for yourself, perhaps tomorrow?

chinahorse 22-12-2019 07:56 PM

Definitely eating grated cheese out the bag with a spoon...

nonperson 22-12-2019 08:03 PM

I'm working tomorrow and then travelling (with the cheese) the day after so that will be enough of a distraction... hopefully =)

Ditch the spoon, Lillie. Just grab handfuls. =P

Indigo. 22-12-2019 08:07 PM

Lillie, I have done that, with my hands. Cheese is very nice.

NP, I am sure time will pass fast, and you will soon be enjoying your Xmas cheese XD

I am dressed & ready to brave the outside!

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 08:11 PM

I have also done that with my hands! Not even ashamed :p

Good luck!

chinahorse 22-12-2019 08:20 PM

I dont like eating with my hands.

Eeek outside is cold and dark.

Hope you dont forget the cheese NP! Though that would mean more cheese for you in the long run...

nonperson 22-12-2019 08:20 PM

Good luck, Indigo. You'll be back home with your cheese before you know it.

nonperson 22-12-2019 08:22 PM

I won't forget it! More likely to forget the chutney to be honest.

I can always buy more for myself after Christmas.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 08:23 PM

Fair enough Lillie!

Now I want cheese
But I have none

chinahorse 22-12-2019 08:34 PM

Stick a post it to the cheese saying remember the chutney!

Sucks to be you beckie.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 08:37 PM

That's a good idea

Yes it does suck to be me :(

not_so_insig 22-12-2019 08:40 PM

Funnily enough I was just looks at chutneys on a website and I come here to find a discussion about cheese.

I am watching Olympia (boring bit on atm) but keep on getting sharp shooting pains in my calf.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 08:46 PM

Both my calves are completely numb for some reason so I'm the opposite of you dawn!

nonperson 22-12-2019 08:56 PM

Hm, some strange calf problems going on there. o.o

I keep forgetting I have to work tomorrow...

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 08:57 PM

Oops! Don't forget tomorrow!

nonperson 22-12-2019 09:00 PM

I won't. It just seems kind of pointless for one day when there's hardly anyone in anyway.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 09:02 PM

Yeah that's true.

How is it only 8pm??

chinahorse 22-12-2019 09:08 PM

Very true np.

Dunno Beckie. Today is taking forever. And I keep eating which is a problem because I've had to wash up loads.

nonperson 22-12-2019 09:08 PM

Definitely feels like it should be much later.

*offers everyone mince pies and brandy cream* Nom. =)

chinahorse 22-12-2019 09:12 PM

*nabs mince pie*

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 09:13 PM

Know the feeling Lillie

Mmmm mince pies and brandy cream!!

nonperson 22-12-2019 09:15 PM

I realised that I've only had one mince pie before today and not had my usual gallon of brandy cream so had to remedy that!

I'm also messing around with a security camera app to keep an eye on Geordi while I'm away.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 09:19 PM

I had a couple of mince pies today
No brandy cream though!

Sounds interesting

chinahorse 22-12-2019 09:21 PM

Dont like brandy cream. :/

Ooo geordi cam!!

nonperson 22-12-2019 09:25 PM

I loooove it. The tub I got says it contains 13 servings! It's more like.... 3 for me.... =/

Hehe, yes Geordi cam! I've set up my old phone as a camera and can watch live on my normal phone and it will record when it detects movement. Got it pointed at the cat flap and food bowls at the moment which is where most of the activity will be.

Indigo. 22-12-2019 09:33 PM

Mission successful: I have gotten the cheese. And also soup which was on sale.

NP, re: Geordi cam, that's cool!

I am sorry you don't have any cheese, Beckie :(

Dawn, who/what is Olympia?

I like mince pies but I react badly to cinnamon so I haven't had any in ages. Was tempted to buy some at the shop but got distracted.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 09:39 PM

Olympia is a horse show

I will get some cheese tomorrow!

nonperson 22-12-2019 09:43 PM

Is it possible to make your own mince pies without cinnamon?

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 09:57 PM

I would imagine so

nonperson 22-12-2019 09:58 PM

But would they still taste like mince pies? =/

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 10:10 PM

I think so
Theres a lot of other flavours going on in there!

chinahorse 22-12-2019 10:10 PM

Love Actually is on :-)

nonperson 22-12-2019 10:17 PM

One day I might watch that film.

Cacoethes 22-12-2019 10:27 PM

I've seen it once.
Wasn't impressed

I'm watching QI XL. I love Romesh Ranganathan! So funny. And his mum is in the audience which is also funny
It's a Christmas episode

not_so_insig 22-12-2019 10:34 PM

Olympia is big horse show that is held in London every year just before Christmas. It's covered by the bbc every year Indigo.

Indigo. 22-12-2019 10:35 PM

Oh I wish I had cable, more for Love Actually than horse show, and also for the ability to just go through channels randomly and maybe find something cool!

I hope you enjoy the show Dawn. And Love Actually, Lillie :)

I'm sure I can make cinnamon-less mince pies, if I made my own mincemeat with nutmeg and maybe ginger. Should have thought of this in advance! Perhaps next year XD

Eska 23-12-2019 08:38 AM

I enjoy Love Actually.

I'm at the station and it's so, so quiet! I guess tons of people take this week off work.

Cacoethes 23-12-2019 09:16 AM

Morning guys!

Indigo. 23-12-2019 10:41 AM

I am awake but would like to go back to bed. Although I've got loads of shopping to do today and I'm sure it'll be easy less chaotic if I leave soonish...

How is everyone?

not_so_insig 23-12-2019 11:31 AM

I am ok thanks. For some reason the postman came about 2 hours earlier than usual .

one_step_closer 23-12-2019 11:35 AM

Morning. It's very wet here today.

not_so_insig 23-12-2019 11:38 AM

It's sunny here Lindsay.
