not_so_insig 18-12-2019 03:02 PM

I am warm now Beckie.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 03:02 PM

Lucky you!

not_so_insig 18-12-2019 03:05 PM

My female has now decided to speak to me.

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 03:25 PM

Poor cats, you are awful Dawn. :tongue2:

My 2 are due theirs at the beginning of next month. I've changed vets so hope they will give me the wormer as a tablet because I'm terrible at doing the spot on.

not_so_insig 18-12-2019 03:30 PM

If it's Drontal tablets you can buy them online Lindsay. No need for a prescription.

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 03:32 PM

Is that what you use? My previous vet advised using a specific spot on that was prescription only. I know that the flea stuff I was using before that wasn't a prescription wasn't very effective so I'm a bit wary about stuff you can just buy.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 03:36 PM

I'm at the doctors waiting to be stabbed

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 03:37 PM

I hope it's a quick stab!

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 03:41 PM

Should be!

chinahorse 18-12-2019 03:42 PM

How fun beckie :-P

I'm terrible at doing the spot on thing as well lindsay. Maybe if you tell the vet they will give you another type?

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 03:47 PM

I asked my previous vet if I could get the wormer as a tablet and they said no. I think they just wanted me to use a specific brand that didn't come as a tablet.

I wish you could get flea treatments as tablets too.

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 03:49 PM

Amazon is saying you can get flea tablets but are they for prevention or just treatment? Plus I think I saw something a while ago about cats being really distressed after taking the tablets. I'll see what the new vet advises.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 03:49 PM

Very fun Lillie! :p

I've never wormed a cat but I've wormed horses.
That was a bit of a task

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 03:50 PM

How do you worm a horse?

chinahorse 18-12-2019 04:24 PM

Brute force mostly lindsay.

Also they absolutely do sell flea tablets. And bertie is fine after his. I just buy whatever is cheapest any brand and theyve all been ok.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 04:26 PM

And I've just had news so good I'm awkwardly crying in morrisons. Theyve awarded me a huge lump sum and then fortnightly payments from the council to help with the rent that universal credit doeant cover.

not_so_insig 18-12-2019 04:30 PM

I use drontal tablets for my female but I use a spot on wormer for my male. Mainly because he is very stubborn when it comes to tablets and I was never convinced that he swallowed the tablet. I use frontline spray for them both. The drontal tablets and spray I buy online from vetuk but the spot on wormer I get from the vet as it's prescription only. I only do them twice a year so I get it when I take one of them to the vet for their vaccinations.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 04:36 PM

Am also lost in the housing estate behind my house. :/

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 05:01 PM

That's excellent news Lillie!
Not about being lost though, can you google map??

I've been stabbed and been to asda.
The pharmacy had a queue nearly out of the door so I decided to leave that until tomorrow

chinahorse 18-12-2019 06:01 PM

I'm so so relieved its unreal. :-)

Eel busy there beckie.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 06:30 PM

I bet you are!

Very busy.

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 06:46 PM

That is fantastic news Lillie!!! (Not being lost though, are you unlost yet?)

I think you should stop talking about stabbing, Beckie!

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 06:50 PM

Yeah you're probably right lindsay!

chinahorse 18-12-2019 06:54 PM

I am unlost. Did see some nice Christmas lights on my travels.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 07:12 PM

Glad you're unlost lillie!

What's everyone up to?
I'm watching game of thrones

chinahorse 18-12-2019 07:19 PM

Which series?

Am playing with bertie and his feather toy. Well will rw commence playing when hes stops being a tart and rubbing his face on it.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 07:20 PM

The last one

Haha! Bless

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 07:21 PM

Have you got a cat brush Lillie? Mine like to rub their faces on that.

I'm just waiting for crisis to come and review my plan.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 07:24 PM

Hope it goes ok lindsay

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 07:25 PM

Thanks. The questions are stupid and I never know how to answer them! Plus I didn't really engage with the plan for long because it was based on phone calls.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 07:30 PM

Hope you can tell them that lindsay.

I have a brush. Bertie thinks it's the devil incarnate.

Only seen the first 3 series myself.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 07:40 PM

What did you think of them Lillie?

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Boo

chinahorse 18-12-2019 07:45 PM

They were ok. Easier to follow than the books.

Routine exam beckie?

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 07:52 PM

True
I didn't get through all the books

Yes but I have a couple of cracked teeth and a random gum swelling so I imagine some work will need to be scheduled!

chinahorse 18-12-2019 07:55 PM

Yeah. Sounds very much like you'll need further work.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 07:57 PM

Ugh. Great.
At least I get it for free. Dental work is expensive

chinahorse 18-12-2019 08:05 PM

Some placeaprivatelt charge stupid amounts. I've seen over 100% mark ups on products in reception. It's crazy. I always used to tell patients where they could get them cheaper.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 08:07 PM

Thats ridiculous!
Good on you

chinahorse 18-12-2019 08:15 PM

Yeh. I dont care where they get the floss. Just that they use it. And tbf the people asking about price usually are those that could do with a break. We had one poor lady who needed to see the hygienist which the nhs dowsnt cover and would set up a payment plan to do so. And she was exempt on income related benefits. Used to give her a literal carrier bag of free toothpaste every visit.

chinahorse 18-12-2019 08:16 PM

Talking of which I had to actually buy toothpaste the other day. For the first time since April 2018.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 08:21 PM

I bet she appreciated that

That must have felt weird!
Also reminds me I need to buy toothpaste soon

chinahorse 18-12-2019 08:21 PM

I'm kinda shocked how expensive the nice ones are! And even Colgate is pricey.

nonperson 18-12-2019 08:27 PM

Bit late but I want to say amazing news about the financial help, Lillie. I'm so pleased for you. =)

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 08:32 PM

Toothpaste is quite expensive
I tend to try and get them on special offer

Hey np
How are you?

nonperson 18-12-2019 08:48 PM

Hey Beckie. I'm... ok. Wondering where the evening has gone though.

How're you?

chinahorse 18-12-2019 08:53 PM

Thanks np :-)

Evening does seem to have disappeared.

nonperson 18-12-2019 08:56 PM

And I have just hit a random wall of tiredness.

Cacoethes 18-12-2019 09:02 PM

Usually I find it goes quite slowly but it does seem to have gone quite fast this evening!

one_step_closer 18-12-2019 09:03 PM

I always get Colgate Sugar Acid Neutraliser toothpaste from Poundland.

Hi NP.

nonperson 18-12-2019 09:03 PM

Yeah, same. I got home late though and busied around for a bit instead of sitting down so I think that made the time go quickly.
