Just popping in to say I am alive just have had a very busy weekend.

Was up until 1am Roleplaying Friday into Saturday. And we defeated who we thought was the big bad and found out there was an even bigger bad so the universe is not yet saved. I have been informed that this is definitely the final battle though. So a week or two until the fate of the universe is decided

Was at a friend's house from 4pm - 11pm yesterday playing a roleplaying game called starfinder which we started in June and play roughly monthly. It is my 4th different roleplaying game campaign that I play with any regularity but only one I play in person rather than online ( 1 game approx monthly, 2 games I play fortnightly on alternate Wednesdays and 1 every Friday). This game is another sci-fi one but less high powered and campaign is a bit like firefly.

Then this afternoon we had 2 friends over to play a board game and chat.

And between I have just been resting. Speaking of which I have a headache and need a nap.

Been thinking of you all and will catch up tomorrow xx

It has all been fun just rather tiring too.

Alas I did not manage a nap so am still tired but painkillers and a cool pack has reduced headache though annoyingly not irradiated it!

I am ok thanks Lindsay but had a tiring day today.

The shift was intense and I never want to see another glass in my life (glasswash was so packed full, we weren't getting them out fast enough and had nowhere to put the clean glass trays)
And there was a car accident outside just as we were closing up. Obviously drunk driver (not from our pub). Tried to call 101 but obvs on hold for ages, then police turned up anyway. Someone must have called 999. Car was smoking. Went into a bollard.

Dunno about enjoying but it's nice not to wake up to an alarm. Although I woke up early anyway. No one has phoned me yet though so that's a bonus.

Sadly, i have to get the bus to hospital to have what's left of a tooth out (root canal fell out in the winter at some point)

No one phoning is good!
I'm hoping for no phone calls, because it would probably mean my appointment is cancelled again. They only let me know like an hour before i was going to get the bus :plain:

Yeah everyone was fine, except the driver was obviously incredibly drunk
But they were both able to stand around shouting at us not to call the police while insisting he wasn't drunk....

That's good. I am ok. Doing normal things and finishing packing. I've put my dressing gown in the airing cupboard to try and dry it. My room at the retreat doesn't have en suite so I'll need to be running between my room and the bathroom!

I have no plans as such. Feeling a bit more motivated today though so I will (maybe) repot some cacti, cut some shrubs back in the garden that are totally blocking the path, maybe some yoga? I've also made strawberries in jelly for later while I'm watching the tennis =)

It's at 2:15. But having to get the 12:27 bus because buses are crap and want to make sure I actually get there in time.
I was 40 mins late to my initial appointment with them because psych ward majorly messed things up :plain:

Luckily I have no plans today so having a chill day after my busy weekend. Might snuggle up with partner and watch a movie this evening.

We always did strawberries in jelly at home so I kinda just keep doing it. I love a bit of jelly tbh but only really with strawberries and cream and Wimbledon.

That's odd, Beckie! Maybe they're on lunch break or something, not that that's an excuse for leaving reception unattended.

Also do you know how much the toothfairy actually gives children nowadays? I remember it being 20p for a small tooth and 50p for a big tooth but now it's like a couple of quid per tooth! I guess nothing is safe from inflation...

It's ok, NP. You'd have to make sure there were no tiny bits of jelly on the strawberries. You enjoy though. :-) I have no idea what the tooth fairy pays now. I don't even remember what I used to get as a child.

I didn't get the tooth fairy. A friend who is a parent gave ?5 for the first tooth and then 50p for front teeth and a pound for back teeth.

I had lunch just after posting which was a wrap with ham, little bit of grated mozarella, cucumber, mixed salad and a zig zag of mayo. Plus Salt and Vinegar Kettle Chips and an apple.

Wouldn't usually go for mozarella in a wrap but we have a little bit left over from pizza making that needs using up.

Glad it is finally done Beckie. I know it's been needed for many months. Be careful not to drink with a straw as that can lead to a dry socket. Your face being numb made me think of that song that goes 'I can't feel my face when I'm with you' and I imagined you singing it to the dentist XD

Off to meditate and possibly nap now.
