Oh wow jen!
That sounds exciting! Morning everyone! I have 9 amazon parcels coming today XD Hoping it will be less and they just put a few items in one box, which they often do! All essentials though, nothing exciting! Apart from my super duper fan. It's the same one jasmine has and it is amazing! And now i can sell my old fan to desperate people when all the shops run out of them in the heat, happens every year! |
Nine?!
That reminds me I added a load of stuff to my Amazon basket last night and forgot to buy them in the 5 hour timeframe for Monday delivery. =/ |
Yep! And 2 things coming on monday XD
All stuff i need though. Oh noo that's disappointing! How are you this morning? |
Morning peeps.
|
It's still saying Monday delivery so I've got time to add more stuff =B
I'm... ok. Seem to keep waking up more tired than when I went to bed lately. Hi tamo! How're you? |
I'm tired too. I made tea for me and my sister but she's feeling really anxious so she's gone to her room, so I'm drinking tea by myself :(
|
That's a shame =( Maybe you can offer her some tea a bit later on.
|
Dad will be back for afternoon tea so it will be his responsibility!
|
Does he make good tea? Either way I hope you can all have tea together =)
|
What type of tea are you having? I LOVE tea!
Beckie, 9 parcels, how exciting :) I've had a busy morning so far, I've been to feed two different friends's pets while they're away, one has a cat, one has 4 guinea pigs and a rabbit, and come home and mowed the grass before the storm later. Just running a bath while my batch cooking is in the oven and then it'll be a slow mindful day from here! I've got some craft stuff I need to do before next weekend. |
Morning tamo!
Yay for monday delivery np! Shame about the tea. I hope you enjoy your afternoon tea with your dad! The 9 parcels are mostly guinea pig stuff tbh XD You have been busy Beth! Sounds like you'll need a slow day after all that! I am home now! Went to primark before the bus back, then went to asda for almond milk and top up gas and then aldi for romaine lettuce, because it's far better quality in there and the guinea pigs prefer it. They don't really eat the asda ones, they're a lot smaller, and also 1p more expensive. I haven't been to asda in so long, they actually have doors on the fridges now! Looks weird. My neighbour has cleaned the house, apparently she felt restless and it helped XD |
Hey everyone. I hope you all have a good day.
Sounds like an intense battle, Jen! Is there no possibility of fixing the jetpack? I'm glad you're getting a super duper fan as well as essentials, Beckie. I seriously need your neighbour, does she do gardens? Hope you get your Monday delivery, NP! I hope your sister feels better soon, Tamo. How are you doing? I hope the rest of your day is nice and relaxed, Beth. What craft are you doing? When I was walking up my street to go to the chemist I saw a grey squirrel being chased by teeny tiny birds and I was thinking squirrels don't live on streets they live in trees. Then I remembered that a house has just recently been sold on my street so maybe it was the squirrel who bought it. I'll keep a look out for him and give him a warm welcome to the street since the birds have already done a terrible job of it. |
Hi lindsay!
My neighbour actually does do gardens XD That's very nice of you lindsay! I'm sure the squirrel will appreciate it! |
Oh pretty please send her my way! I promise to give her back.
What are you doing with the rest of your day? |
I made assam tea :)
I had a lie down after my mindfulness. Feel a bit better now. |
Do you have trees nearby?
A squirrel would be a great neighbour. He'd have an excellent stash of food, but it would possibly be in your house and he would forget it was there =P |
Afternoon all.

Afternoon!
After the excitement of last night and roleplaying until Midnight it took me until sometime after 3am to get to sleep so I didn't wake up until 11:30am! Alas the jet pack is broken due to a strange alien forcefield so not much I can do about to until I can fight my way out of that forcefield. I have been outside, had coffee and am now chilling. Partner is about to pop to B&Q for charcoal as we are having a BBQ for his birthday tomorrow. He is also going to get us sausage bacon and egg baguettes for lunch from the burger van run by a butchers that they have outside B&Q. I am baking his cake this afternoon. Plus possibly trying to tidy the house a bit, planing to spend most of time in garden with friends but who knows what British weather will do so ought to have a clearing inside. |
I'm glad you feel a bit better, Tamo. What sort of mindfulness do you do?
Don't even know if there are trees nearby! I'm not very observant. How is your day going so far, NP? Hi Dawn, how are you? Hi, Jen. You must get really into the role playing if you're still going at midnight! Sounds like you've got lots planned today. Are you feeling up to it? I hope you have a good day. |
I've got this metal gig with L tonight!
Unfortunately, it's all rail replacement buses so it'll take 40 mins instead of the 10 mins it would take on the train :eyeroll: But it's fine. They only go every hour so we're gonna get there early and go for food because we'll be drinking. Better not tell my psych, he'd probably call me an alcoholic again XD Sounda like a decent day planned jen! I love a bbq! |
Apart from a sore leg and my head feels fuzzy I am ok thanks Lindsay. I think my hay-fever is playing up hence the fuzzy head.i had a massive sneezing fit and my cat ran away. Then as soon as he came back my phone decided to play the sound of a barking dog so he got scared. He hates dogs apparently.
|
Do you know what sort of food you will be having Beckie? Will you be going to Miller and Carter again?
|
Osc - I used the basic guided thingy on the headspace app
|
Well BBQ is tomorrow. I am looking forward to it though.
Today is just eating sausage bacon and egg baguette, baking cake and possibly doing some cleaning. Reckon I can handle it, just did a meditate which helped me regulate. We got very into roleplaying was a very tactical session! |
Oh wow, that sounds like lots of fun, Beckie. I hope you have a lovely time.
Hay fever is so annoying. What's happened to your leg? Aww, poor kitty. Is the guided mindfulness long, Tamo? Are you doing anything with the rest of your day? I'm glad you've got things to look forward to, Jen. Hope the weather is nice for you tomorrow. |
Won't be miller and carter unfortunately! I don't think there is one in the town I'm going to.
There is a pub there that's under the company i work for, so i can use my discount card. It's like 20-25% off food (can't remember which one!) And 15% off drinks. So it makes sense. Bacon and egg baguette sounds so good! Thanks lindsay! It's supposed to be roasting tomorrow! 30°C :ermm: |
My meditation was a guided mindfulness one too!
|
Bacon, Sausage and egg baguette was egg-cellent.
Hope you have a nice meal and a fun time at the metal show Beckie! |
Were the fillings hot, Jen? Sounds very tasty.
|
Yep piping hot they cook them to order!
I am off to bake a cake in a minute |
I had severe cramp in my leg yesterday Lindsay. Pain went away after a while but has returned today. Pain not as bad but more constant if that makes sense. I have managed to wash my hair and dry it though.
|
What kind of cake are you making, Jen? I could do a taste test for you if you'd like?
Oh no, I hate cramp. I hope the pain eases soon. Well done for washing and drying your hair. Are you doing anything with the rest of your day? |
Osc it's just 10 mins. Then in the afternoon I do the same thing but 5 mins and a 10 min body scan relaxation thing.
|
I take it you find it helpful then, Tamo? It's good that you have a routine with it.
|
Cake is baked and cooling, I wiped down the sides, cleaned the hob and rinsed the mixing bowl etc. Stopped short of actually doing the washing up because the drying rack was full and I ran out of energy. I am now very very warm and have stopped. Am sat on my sofa having a well deserved cold glass of water.
Cake is a cinnamon and apple cake. |
You've done great, Jen. *high five*
I've never had that kind of cake before. Hope the water is extra cold and refreshing! |
Cake sounds delicious!!!
I've just put salmon in the oven so I can batch cook teriyaki stir fry for work lunches. |
Teriyaki sauce is so tasty. Sounds like you're going to be having some good lunches to look forward to.
|
I hope so!
How're you OSC? |
* high-fives back*
The cake is a one of our favourites, in my family growing up you always got to request whatever kind of cake you fancied for your birthday. And I have carried on tradition with my partner, he almost always selects my cinnamon and apple cake. It's from a baking book I got by sending off a coupon from a McDougall's flour packet! Would you like to try a piece Lindsay? Water was from one of the reusable bottles I keep in the fridge this time if year so was ice cold! Ooh terayki salmon sounds lush Beth. |
I don't know if it's helpful but it's part of my routine.
|
I am going to get takeaway tonight but can't decide which takeaway! #firstworldproblems
|
What are your choices?
I'm also going to get takeaway tonight, I'm going to get Chinese - because pizza is expensive and is also £3 delivery even though its a 3 minute drive. Chinese is next door to pizza but doesn't deliver and is half the price. And I can also pick it up while I'm doing the rounds of pet feeding this evening. |
I haven't had Chinese for ages. Enjoy!
What are your options LR? |
I ended up going for a kebab in the end after much debating.
|
How was it?
I've never had a kebab. |
I have also never had a kebab. Did you enjoy it, Jen? Do you have sauce and salad with it or something?
Yes, I would love to try your cake! What other cakes can you make? Routine is good, Tamo. What did you get, Beth? I had a mini pizza and onion rings for dinner. |
Tastey dinners all round. I too have never had a kebab. Can you get veggie kebabs?
|
Hmm, I couldn't imagine what a veggie kebab would even look like or be made of. But I might not be surprised if there is one, lots of things are being made veggie now.
|
Why have so many of you never had a kebab?! To be honest I was introduced to them late in life.
They are really all about the meat though. I bought some veggie kebab meat from the supermarket once! It was alright but not a patch on the real stuff. |
