It did thanks. I explained the situation and he said to just send in the photo of my pass certificate and see if the underwriter accepts it. If not, I'll just have to wait until I get it sorted. He said sending the certificate is better than just waiting until the end of the 21 days and hoping my licence comes through. So everything crossed that the underwriters accept it!!!

I'm really apprehensive, I was off for my birthday but it hasn't been a good time - but everyone will be asking.

That's not so good. It's hard when there is a celebration that everyone just assumes will be positive. How do you think you will manage the questions?

I usually just say things were ok and then try to change the conversation to how everyone else has been.

Aha good idea - however we've just made 12 people redundant in the past week (luckily enough people came forward for voluntary, so we didn't have to go to compulsory) so no one is going to be doing well and there is already an atmosphere :(. Tuesday is their last day. (and there is no support for everyone covering 12 peoples work)

Afternoon everyone! I am drinking coffee and catching up on canoe and kayak slalom. Planning to watch the GB women's Hockey and might watch some gymnastics later.

I love randomly getting into sports I pay no attention to apart from during the Olympics. Especially ones like Gymnastics where you don't need to know specifics to know what they are doing is super impressive!

Hockey is a sport I used to play so understand the rules and really enjoy watching, the Olympics is only time I can see it on TV so I make the most of it.

Going to pop outside in the sunshine for a little bit in a minute though!

I will try to watch gymnastics and horses. Went to see my friend Fr R this morning, that was nice.

Maybe just stick to the 'it was ok' and then run away, Beth!

I got my bracelet in town, and then mum plays in a concert band and they play at parks on bandstands over summer. She said to come today - I got there and parked up and walked for 20 minutes and was nowhere near(!), I was maybe a third of the way to where the bandstand is! My back hurts, I rang my dad to see if he could come find me as I was lost and typically he's stayed home. Of course the ice creams I brought with for us had melted too.

Don't really want to sit alone with a now painful back, so I turned round and came home. At least I can sit alone with my poorly cat here. (and my three well ones of course)

None of sports I have been watching have had their finals yet. I do know we won 2 medals yesterday a British nze in women's diving and a silver in women's cycling time trial.

Done some reading and sketching. Just watched Simone Biles on bbc iplayer, amazing!

trying to catch up on eventing desperately. the paris time difference has us thrown off so much even with our already weird sleep schedule lol. we're unfortunately a full day behind so it's been horrible trying to avoid any spoilers on social media.

hoping to get through the last of the eventing dressage and then will try to sleep. gotten too wound up though with watching all of them, waiting on our favorites, etc..

It's nice and cool inside here so I am ok. Managed to unpack my tesco shopping ok. I have put away the majority of my shopping thankfully I had no frozen stuff.

Finished my horsey action for the day. There's horsey action on practically every day for a week so I should be ok.

I'm enjoying watching some showjumping :)
