Morning everyone!
4:30am this morning So a bit better Zzzzz |
Morning!
A little better is still better. Wish you could sleep until it's at least light though! I had a disturbed nights sleep including bad pain and a non epileptic seizure. Just woke up. Got around 5 hours solid sleep and a hour or 2 of broken sleep before that. |
Morning!
Yeah, hate having to get up and sit with all the lights on in the morning! Oh no! Not a good night for you either! How are you feeling? |
It is never a vibe waking up while it is still dark. Although less annoying in winter
Not sure yet. Feel a bit rough but I am in less pain than last night at least. |
True!
Less pain is good at least! Not surprising you feel rough though |
Just doing meds and breakfast.
Good luck for your appointment today. |
What's for breakfast?
Thank you :) |
Had Greek yoghurt with some leftover tinned pineapple.
Just about to make a fancy coffee. |
Yummy!
Oooh i hope you enjoy it! Aldis version of nescafe azera is as fancy as I get for coffee XD |
I am already enjoying it! I only have one coffee a day generally so it feels worth splashing out on the good stuff. And the aeropress makes brewing it much less of a faff.
I mean an azera knock-off is fancy for instant XD And you probably get actual barista coffee more often than me. |
Definitely worth it!
Yeah probably! Me and L go for coffee a lot because there's f all else to do around here XD |
Sounds about right XD Where I grew up is very similar in the f all to do department. I actually went on a walk as a date once as a teenager XD
|
There's the mill, that's pretty much it XD
Luckily, there are nearby bigger towns and she drives! A walk as a date sounds quite nice actually! We did that once. There's an RSPB place very close with nice trails. And a caf? XD |
I mean I just went to the local woods nothing as fancy as a nature reserve XD but a walk can be a nice date.
I am bored and feeling a bit eurgh. |
Woods are cool!
Though I've watched far too much criminal minds so woods=murder XD Sorry to hear that! I am also bored. And panicky about later |
Morning.
We have so many places to go for coffee! Plus 2 cinemas, a teeny tiny theatre , a bowling alley, a swimming pool/activity centre, a nature reserve, 2 rivers and a park. In your faces! |
Oh we have rivers. And the green wheel. We're getting a theatre too. Forgot about that!
And a pool. Thameslink train station which is pretty decent when there's no train strikes XD And the retail park. And a club. So i guess it's not TOO bad. I still prefer living here than a big town, despite not a lot to do! Because of the train, big towns and London are very easily accessed. |
We don't have a club. We used to but it became more and more scuzzy until all the rebranding in the world couldn't save it.
|
Ours is alright.
Have events a lot, like the emo nights and other themed nights, drag queen bingo, as well as just guest DJs. Plus they show sports, which I'm not interested in obvs! |
I mean I live in a small city now. Just grew up in the middle of nowhere :p And now I live a 20 minute drive from the beach so there!
Morning Tamo! |
Where I live has nothing much but quite good buses although they don't take you to exciting places either!
|
I also grew up in the middle of nowhere! With like 4 buses a day XD
Being close to the beach is cool! Can you get several buses to exciting places lindsay? |
That would be too complicated for me! One bus goes to Glasgow though.
Good luck with your appointment today. I watch Cole and Abbie on Fb and they're always getting mystery boxes and showed ones that are for specific people/things. They got a women's one which was mostly full of make up and a teenage girls one which I kind of liked so I ordered the cheapest one a while ago (then also a home one and a stationery one!) They're taking ages to come now because everyone has seen the video and the company is now very busy but my teenage girls one is coming at some point today. I'm excited because I don't know what will be in it. Will likely have to donate some things to charity though. |
I mean there was a bus once an hour so you grew up more in the middle of nowhere than me Beckie! The neighbouring village I went to primary school in only had a bus 3 days a week though.
I love living close to the beach now, where I grew up was miles from the coast so it's still super special we can hop in the car and be at a beach in 20 or 30 minutes. |
Glasgow sounds cool!
I've only ever been to Edinburgh. And wherever my relatives up there live. Idk. Its been a while! Potentially near Dundee? Thank you! I've never heard of them! |
3 days a week?!
We had one that went once a week. I can't remember where it went though! That is very cool! I'm a couple of hours from the nearest beach i think. The one we went to in Norfolk the other week was 2 and a half hours away |
Buses here aren't great, trains are better.
I hope you enjoy your box osc. |
Hope your suprise box is fun Lindsay!
It was like one to town and one back on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. That's a mission for a day trip. I might go to the beach next week once the schools are back so there are less people about. I am rewatching survivor Australia I know who wins so it not as good but I needed a comfort show. |
It is quite a mission!
I can get to Brighton on the train pretty easily. One change at a nearby station. Takes a couple of hours. But Brighton is awesome, though stony. The Norfolk beach we went to was sandy and also not busy, it's an awesome beach, but small and not at all touristy! There's a cafe and a fish and chip shop, that's it! Parking is in a field with an honesty box! The cafe sells really nice local, homemade ice cream too. Comfort shows are great! I like to rewatch things too! |
I love rewatching old shows too.
I like Brighton. It's a bit of a pig by train but only half an hour to drive. |
That Norfolk beach sounds lovely. There's some quieter beaches like that round here if you want to drive further. But the ones within a 20-40 minute drive are pretty busy in season, turns out everyone comes to the south west on holiday!
I have a favourite sandy beach and a favourite stony beach. Both are good, you need sand for castles but stones don't get everywhere like sand does! |
Half an hour drive isn't too bad tamo!
It is a really lovely beach! Yeah they will be packed in summer holidays! Bloody kids everywhere XD That's true. Sand does get EVERYWHERE! |
Only a week until kids are back in school. And I don't mind kids that much it's just I prefer a bit of personal space at the beach.
Sand is almost as bad as glitter!!! |
Yeah, jasmine starts year 7 next week! D:
It really is! L is still finding it in her car XD |
Eek! They grow up so fast. My nephew starts primary school next week. It seems only yesterday he was a baby.
I expect there is always sand somewhere in my car or flat considering how often we go to the coast. My energy is yo-yoing a lot today hit a slump so trying to relax but struggling to sit still |
They do! Crazy!
Probably! I get that. Zooming around tends to make it worse, personally, giving in to the zoomies encourages the zoomies! And you have the added asthma and FND issues! |
I am trying very hard not to give into the zoomies. Might even go back to bed if I still feel rough at the end of this episode of my show. Currently sat propped up on the sofa.
|
Sounds hard not to give in to the zoomies.
Hope you're all doing ok. |
Hello all. I have been wild swimming.
|
I napped. It has helped a bit.
Hope you enjoyed your swim Dawn |
I'm in London, so for things to do I think I've got you guys beat. :P I don't have beach access though, which makes me sad, but it's not hard to get to Brighton from me and that's my favourite place.
I'm off to an appointment shortly, but thought I'd pop in and say hi and leave hugs for anyone wanting them. |
Yeah but you have to live in London :p London is alright in small doses not forever.
Yay hugs! Hope your appointment goes well! |
*takes a hug* thanks!
|
Yes I did Jen. I was in the water for an hour.
|
Glad you enjoyed it. I need to learn to swim one day, I never really learned as a kid despite doing weekly lessons as a 14 year old. I sprained my wrist was out of the pool a couple of weeks and went right back to square 1 so gave up. I think it was a confidence thing.
But I think if I do learn to swim I will do it in a nice heated pool. Not a fan of cold water! |
I'll take a hug too if it's not too late. Had a bit of a day...
Also I'm well behind in the convo and my brain hurts so - Luce, I do prefer NP to my real name =) Hope you got on ok with studying yesterday. And Lindsay - those surprise boxes are cool! I went through a phase of getting Harry Potter ones. |
Hey guysss!
Hugs to all that need/want them! |
I'll take as many as I can get haha. Thanks =)
And I have plenty to give out too. Let's have a big hug fest. |
ALL THE HUGS!!!!
The guinea pigs are giving hugs too :tongue2: |
Yay, tiny pig hugs =D
