I always have to dip my feat into the sea. I can’t wait until it’s appropriate weather to do that.

I live right by the seaside! I used to be able to cross the road from my flat and be on the beach. I'm still only a 7 minute walk away. Fish and chips by the seaside are the best!

Anyone got any recommendations for a light comedy on Netflix or Amazon Prime?

The Big Bang theory and the IT crowd are on Netflix. I find them funny. Also Black Adder is good, but only series 2 to 4. First series isn’t funny.

I know what you mean about the sea, it's the same for me.

I've just discovered that Friends is now on Netflix which is good because it's easier for me than trying to put DVDs in the player. I also like Blackadder, I like the first episode of the first series but not really any of others in that series, like you Lorraine I prefer 2nd through to the last one.

I have put my heating on now. Hopefully that'll keep her happy. :P It's very cold outside, but it's dry. Cold and dry and sunny is my favourite weather. I'm hoping we may drive to a beach we both like and go for a walk there. I like the beach by my flat, but the other one would make a change and I really like the drive there. :)

Glad the heating is on! I've become a bit of a scrooge with it too since living alone. Most of the time it's set to come on if it drops below 14. Except for 3 evening hours where it's 18. Fine if I'm out the house lol

I wouldn't care if I was genuinely needed but I'm not. And I haven't had any time off at all since July! I could moan and moan about work. Boss is making my life hell whilst also being a friend. Grr.

Hehe. I don't have central heating, so no thermostat or anything - I just put on the electric heaters if I'm super cold. I have a heated throw for when I'm in my living room; I only tend to put the heating on if I have visitors. I am a scrooge!


Yeah, either beach would be OK. I have a snuggly warm coat and fluffy boots, so I will be protected against the elements! :)

Yeah, I was in treatment then went straight to work the day after being discharged. So the last time I had more than 2 days off in a row (which is rare enough) was summer!

Might watch The IT crowd as that has been keeping me entertained. Far too cold for a walk. Half of my friends are stingy when it comes to the hearing and the other would turn it on all night. It's currently off atm but I'm wrapped up warm.

Hello again! I went for a walk with my Mum and we stopped in a cafe for a hot chocolate. :) She's gone now. My flat is like living in a furnace now I've had the heating on, so I have turned it straight off! If I get cold, I will wrap up in my heated throw. Silly Mum.


No more than two days off in a row since Summer? I would be so cross! Makes me very grateful for my five day weekends!

My landlord just phoned me. At the moment my flat is managed by a letting agent because the last tenant had to be evicted and she didn't want that nightmare again. She called to ask me if I'd mind if she took over from the letting agent, because I've been here 18 months now and "haven't been a royal pain in the arse" so she feels OK to sort things herself. It's nice to know that she feels that way!
