I don't often either, only if I put music channels on or listen on YouTube.

Don't use Spotify, probably the only person who doesn't!

Aubergine 23-03-2018 11:44 PM

No Spotify?! Do you buy your music to own? Or do you not listen to much music?

nonperson 23-03-2018 11:47 PM

I listen to music all the time, either from vast downloaded mp3 collection which I can't easily access any more... or nowadays mostly through Amazon Music. I buy mp3s occasionally and it all ends up on the Amazon music app.

Buttons. 23-03-2018 11:47 PM

Spotify?

I have ordered a pizza and am debating between American Dad and Game of Thrones reruns to watch-clearly similar :P

not_so_insig 23-03-2018 11:49 PM

I buy mp3s rather than have Spotify because I have an ipod.

Aubergine 23-03-2018 11:54 PM

Ohh I see. That's cool. I've never used Amazon music, but have Prime Student, so should maybe take a look. My friend has Apple Music, which she likes. I've had Spotify pretty much since Spotify became a thing. I'm a creature of habit!

That makes sense, Dawn. What music do you like listening to? I have Spotify on my phone, so just stream it/listen offline on that. I'd download stuff if I had an iPod though, I think. :)

What's on the pizza, Buttons? I vote American Dad! :P

nonperson 23-03-2018 11:58 PM

My mp3 player stopped connecting to my laptop so I can't add stuff to it any more...

Also my phone doesn't connect to my laptop so I can't add stuff to it any more...!

So Amazon Music works well cos I use my phone for everything. =)

not_so_insig 23-03-2018 11:59 PM

I like weird Al and northern soul.

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:00 AM

Yes, I imagine it does work well if you use your phone for everything! Do you come on here on your phone? I sometimes do if I'm out and about, but mostly I'm on my laptop. :)

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:02 AM

I only come on here on my phone at work, usually check at break times! It's annoying to use though... and the little orange arrow things to take me to the newest posts doesn't work so if I press it in this thread it takes me all the way back to when we were talking about mug cakes...!!!

not_so_insig 24-03-2018 12:03 AM

I come here on my phone. It's rare that I come on a laptop. In fact I am typing this on my phone.

not_so_insig 24-03-2018 12:04 AM

I have a similar problem too nonperson. I tried it on a different browser and it made no difference.

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:06 AM

Yes, I get that too. Annoying! Though at least it's a good conversation you're going back to! Mug cakes. <3

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:06 AM

Ah, must just be a phone thing then. I find it really irritating. The "Find all new posts" thing doesn't work either...!

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:07 AM

Ha yes, it makes me crave a mug cake every time! <3

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:13 AM

It is irritating! Oh, I've not tried that on my phone. There was a time when I didn't have a laptop and did everything on my phone. I hadn't realised what a faff it was until I started using a proper computer.

Yum. Mug cake. :)

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:16 AM

Haven't had a mug cake in a long time.

My friend enjoyed her birthday mugcake that I "baked" for her. =)

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:18 AM

I had a mug cake a few days ago. There was no chocolate in the house, so of course I had to make cake!

Oh that's great. :) It's looked pretty impessive what you were doing with it. A super fancy mug cake! :)

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:20 AM

I didn't go for the Victoria Sponge that I posted a pic of here because it kept coming out like rubber!!!

I did my classic can't-go-wrong chocolate mugcake with a gooey nutella centre. =D

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:23 AM

Ohhh I see! Sounds delicious. :) You are mug cake maker extraordinaire!

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:26 AM

Only one kind of cake!

I've had far too much practice... =/

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:28 AM

Who needs more than one kind of cake?!

Ah, it's OK. Me too. :)

chinahorse 24-03-2018 12:38 AM

Ive never had a mug cake!!

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:39 AM

I can give you an excellent recipe or two if you want to try one!

chinahorse 24-03-2018 12:40 AM

I don't have eggs or flour and im unsure what else you'd put in it lol

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:41 AM

Hmm. Yes, eggs and flower are rather important. Person is the queen of mug cakes. :D

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:41 AM

I have an egg free recipe which is good....

But flour is kind of a vital ingredient!

The rest is just sugar and butter and chocolate or cocoa powder. =)

chinahorse 24-03-2018 12:44 AM

I have clover- if it hasnt gone off.

hmm may have to get some so I can do birthday mug cakes

chinahorse 24-03-2018 12:44 AM

flour, get flour

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:47 AM

Yes! Get some flour! :) You can also be part of the mug cake crew. :P

I really, really must fit some studying in tomorrow.

chinahorse 24-03-2018 12:50 AM

self rising or not? white I think, right?

what on? do you study well inn caffes or similar?

(sorry I feel disjoint thanks for putting up)

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:52 AM

White self raising.

Clover should be ok to use.. maybe!

But wholemeal is ok, I've used that before but it's a bit... heavier and dry...

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:54 AM

I use plain flower and add baking powder. Could you self-raising though, maybe? I've never tried it! Maybe could do an experiment!

I'm studying nutrition this module. Lots of chemistry! It's fun, but I have to think and can only do that in little bits at a time. :P

You're OK, Lillie. We're following. :)

nonperson 24-03-2018 12:58 AM

I used plain flour and put way too much baking powder in and it tasted horrible and kind of exploded out of the mug.... so I recommend self raising!

Aubergine 24-03-2018 12:59 AM

Hehehehe! Oops! Yes, perhaps use self raising then! :)

chinahorse 24-03-2018 01:03 AM

suppose less things to buy if I get self raising?
oh no! probably as ba as cleaning up exploded porridge :P

Oh cool, chemistry is hard though. having a work station helped me study- like specific work area

Aubergine 24-03-2018 01:08 AM

Oh, porridge welds itself to the microwave if it explodes and you don't notice, so it cooks itself to the side. >.<

Chemistry is hard. It's fun, but hard! I need to tidy my flat really, as I can't work in a mess. A plan for tomorrow!

nonperson 24-03-2018 01:10 AM

Oh cleaning up exploded mugcake is much easier than exploded porridge!

I also exploded satay noodles in the microwave the other day. That was a real sticky mess to clean up....!!

chinahorse 24-03-2018 01:12 AM

Haha.

I managed to vacuum seal my broccoli flat to the plte lat week. Literally it was flatter than the peas :'P

Aubergine 24-03-2018 01:14 AM

Hehe! Sounds like some interesting microwave adventures you've both had! :P

chinahorse 24-03-2018 01:15 AM

:P my approach to microwaving is whatever it is gets 3 and a half mins

Im actually still struggling to adjust to not cooking for 15 people

Aubergine 24-03-2018 01:22 AM

Haha that sounds like a good approach to me! I may have porridge tomorrow, actually. Had some in my Asda delivery the other day. :)

chinahorse 24-03-2018 01:26 AM

Porridge is lovely, in america they hae so many flavours! And one with dinosaur eggs tht hatch!!

I made choc orange porridge once and starwberry and white choc which was nice

Aubergine 24-03-2018 01:30 AM

Dinosaur eggs that hatch? That sounds amazing! :) Those all sound very delicious. I will just have a dollop of raspberry jam. :)

nonperson 24-03-2018 01:30 AM

I've got to be in the mood for porridge. I don't think I even have any at the moment.

Breakfast is usually toast or nothing!

Aubergine 24-03-2018 01:31 AM

What do you have on your toast?

I don't really eat toast. Can't remember the last time I bought a loaf of bread.

nonperson 24-03-2018 01:34 AM

Butter or pate or lemon curd... or jam.

But mostly just butter.

I always buy bread, for sandwiches at work but I always have toast with soup or for dinner if I'm feeling lazy or a gone midnight snack..!

Aubergine 24-03-2018 01:38 AM

Ooo lemon curd. Bet that'd be nice in porridge. :) Buttery toast sounds lovely. Maybe I'll get a small loaf next time Asda come. :)

Yum. Sounds nice as a gone midnight snack! I have those sometimes too. I tend to have crumpets though...

Any plans for the weekend? Or more away-from-people time?

not_so_insig 24-03-2018 01:41 AM

I like pate on toast. In fact this thread has made me want a sandwich.

nonperson 24-03-2018 01:41 AM

You have to get Hovis Seed Sensations in the purple bag because it does the BEST toast.

More away from people time. My friend messaged me today but didn't suggest doing anything so as I think it's raining tomorrow I might do my garden centre trip which I have yet to do.... and then more gardening Sunday because I didn't do any today.

Have you got any plans?
