zombiehunter 26-06-2019 07:35 PM

wtf is all that blue stuff were the clouds normally go??

*presses buttons* :-p

Buttons. 26-06-2019 07:36 PM

Spooking means getting so scared it loses its head and starts bucking rearing trying to run jump the whole chabang. They scared easily because they are ultimately a prey animal so have a high flight drive no matter how big they are. Like my example to Beckie, horse I was on must have judged the water bottle as a threat and lost its head.

not_so_insig 26-06-2019 07:36 PM

A spooking horse is when the horse refuses to go forward and obey the riders command due to it seeing a perceived threat.

Cacoethes 26-06-2019 07:36 PM

Ooo spaghetti and meatballs! Yum!

Spooking on a horse just means that the horse freaks out at something like a plastic bag or a bird
Usually involves the horse rearing up, bucking or running off!

I was trying to go through a tiny puddle on my horse once.
She decided to jump 3ft in the air from standing. God knows how I managed to stay on! My instructor was on another horse and was cracking up!

Buttons. 26-06-2019 07:37 PM

We have plenty of cloud stuff here Zombie if you stop pressing my buttons I’ll send you some.

True, but also can buck rear jump, gallop off and nothing to do with disobeying a rider’s command to go forward, it just gets scared by something and loses all common sense.

zombiehunter 26-06-2019 07:39 PM

nah you keep all the clouds buttons :-p

Ha ha I’m impressed you stayed on, also love your instructor had a giggle. Once I was this bad tempered old git of a cob who had laziness down to a fine art you nearly broke your legs just trying to get him to walk let alone trot or more, then once when I was on him he spooked and cleared the arena fence in an unexpected jump with me clinging on for deal life and when I finally managed to pull him up and get us both back my trainer was killing herself laughing going ‘ who knew it, he can move!’ I’m sat there sweating through jodhpurs going oh yeah brilliant :p

Stellata 26-06-2019 07:44 PM

Thanks for the info everyone.

Cacoethes 26-06-2019 07:47 PM

That's hilarious Buttons!
Riding school horses can be so lazy!

Buttons. 26-06-2019 07:50 PM

No problem lovely. I know it’s completely different topic but reminded me of peoples’ various interests and I seem to remember you and I both having a liking for poetry Katie, anyone you’ve discovered recently who you think might be worth a read?

True but tbf to them a lot of their day is taken up with plodding with the occasional excitement of a kid learning to trot or canter :p think I’d get to be a lazy arse too.

Cacoethes 26-06-2019 07:54 PM

That is true Buttons!

None of our horses are lazy
They're all pretty mental!
Even Jasmines pony is really frisky and she's an old lady!

Stellata 26-06-2019 08:02 PM

I write poetry but don't tend to read any! Sorry.

nonperson 26-06-2019 08:25 PM

Mm, dinner was nice. Always worth putting the effort in to actually cook things...

Buttons. 26-06-2019 08:26 PM

Ha ha sounds fab Beckie. When I learn how to ride disabled ip(and win the lottery) I plan on getting most wacky horse known to man :p

Sorry Katie my mistake :)

So what’s everyone doing at the moment? I’m torn between continuing with HP 3 film or starting about About a boy again as haven’t watched either in a while. Opinions?

Cacoethes 26-06-2019 08:28 PM

Wacky horses are great :p

I watched about a boy the other day
Great fim!

nonperson 26-06-2019 08:28 PM

Hmmmmm, I'd say HP!

Stellata 26-06-2019 08:34 PM

Buttons. 26-06-2019 08:41 PM

Okay Beckie says About a boy NPsays HP someone weigh in!

nonperson 26-06-2019 08:43 PM

About A Boy is a good film too. Have you seen that less recently than HP?

Maybe I'll change my vote to About a Boy... hm.

Buttons. 26-06-2019 08:49 PM

Screw it About a boy

nonperson 26-06-2019 08:50 PM

Good choice. =)

tamobhuuta 27-06-2019 09:38 AM

I'm in the process of getting out of bed. I think it's coffee time.

Buttons. 27-06-2019 09:40 AM

Morning guys, lovely weather where I am and have a good day planned, have to go get my arm redressed (not so good :p) but then I have a fair on the local park to attend (yes I am a child :p) n my mum is coming over tonight to watch the new Mary Poppins and have a takeaway :) hope everyone has good days.

tamobhuuta 27-06-2019 09:43 AM

That sounds really lovely. I've not got anything planned, unless my mum is home from work in time to go to church this evening.

Cacoethes 27-06-2019 11:03 AM

Thanks
Doctor was fine
He thinks its a migraine so got some pills for that

Hope your appointment and group goes well Katie

It's always coffee time tamo!

Sounds great Buttons!

tamobhuuta 27-06-2019 11:04 AM

I hope the pills work

one_step_closer 27-06-2019 11:13 AM

Morning, morning.

I hope you feel better soon Beckie.

I hope your day goes well Katie.

I hope you have a good day whatever you get up to Tamo.

Sounds like a brilliant day, mostly, Buttons. Enjoy. :-)

I said I'd try and go to the gym group but not go in the gym, just sit in the cafe or go for a walk if they do that instead. Was out getting my prescription this morning wearing long sleeves and it was way, way too hot so will need to wear short sleeves but...anxious.

Cacoethes 27-06-2019 11:27 AM

Thanks both :)

It is very warm for long sleeves
Anxiety sucks

Eska 27-06-2019 12:19 PM

Hello everyone

I hope you get to go to church, Tamo.

I'm glad your appointment went ok, Beckie.

Hope you enjoy writing group Katie!

That sounds like a generally lovely day, Buttons :)

I hope gym group goes fine, Lindsay. I can understand feeling anxious.

Cacoethes 27-06-2019 12:47 PM

Eska 27-06-2019 12:56 PM

I'm in a good mood today

Cacoethes 27-06-2019 01:00 PM

Eska 27-06-2019 01:20 PM
