Cacoethes 16-08-2023 09:14 PM

Sometimes, psychiatrists aren't COMPLETELY useless. Sometimes.
Yeah that kinda sucks. I'll live!

When i used to watch normal tv, i have been guilty of being most of the way through something i hated like bargain hunt or some **** because i couldn't be bothered to reach for the remote XD

long road 16-08-2023 09:19 PM

I mean it's a rare occurrence for them to have some element of competence :P

I get that. Sometimes it's too exhausting. My dad has always been a big fan of bargain hunt. I have stayed in the same room as it so often I kind of get into it. Not as much as Dad ofc XD

Cacoethes 16-08-2023 09:25 PM

It is indeed!

It was on every day in the medium secure unit which was NOT a fun time for me!
So i guess it's because of that!
Although never been a fan of that kind of thing anyway.

I'm gonna go to bed i think.
I will be awake waaay before i have to call GP, but i need to be dosed up on enough coffee before i can explain everything to reception, if i get through in time XD
Hope you manage to get home tonight!

long road 16-08-2023 09:53 PM

That makes sense negative associations and all that.

Hope you have a good sleep and I will see you in the morning I expect. Good luck battling GP receptionist tomorrow. I shake my fist in your GP surgerys general direction for their fail in organisation.

Sorry, Jenna. I looked it up on Goodreads and I gave it 3 stars.

Aww, thank you for looking it up for me, you're the best!! I may well not read it then, as it can't be as good as it sounds.

Yes! I've seen a diagram explaining it - something about the stomach acid and gravity meaning you'll get less indigestion or something?

Also good evening all :)

Love that you were ignoring me so you weren't rude XD

I really like anti hero I just overplayed it a bit so am having a break. To be fair I like all of the songs on the album. I will listen to my favourites and your favourites and do a comparison. Maybe I can rate them on different metrics and do some statistics :p

long road 16-08-2023 11:49 PM

Sitting here like Darth Vader with my nebuliser mask and the machine that sounds like a motor boat engine. I feel a tiny bit bad disturbing what was a quite quiet and chill atmosphere here in minors.

long road 17-08-2023 12:45 AM

Freedom has been obtained. Been discharged from A&E and heading home to hopefully get some sleep. Will have to ring GP surgery in the morning and follow up.

long road 17-08-2023 06:26 AM

Morning Beckie!

(I see you lurking :p)

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 06:27 AM

Morning everyone!

So glad you're home jen!
It was actually a part of my dream that you were home when i woke up in the morning.
Clearly i sensed the vibes!

long road 17-08-2023 06:33 AM

Aww that's really sweet of your unconscious mind.

I only got 4 and a half hours sleep and have woken up with sore chest muscles. They clear had to work overtime yesterday. Am a bit shaky as well but I am home.

Looks like we both have to do battle with being on hold to GP surgery today. I expect I will phone up ask to speak to same nurse practioner I have seen the last 3 times, she wil phone me back and then I possibly go and see her. Hope the classical music while your on hold doesn't drive you too mad.

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 06:51 AM

Love my thread fam! <3

That sounds grim!

I would say both call at 8am and have a race to see who can get through first, but i think your surgery opens at 8:30am?

Pi.R^2 17-08-2023 07:05 AM

Morning you two! Good luck as you do battle with the GP surgery!

long road 17-08-2023 07:06 AM

Awww. Thread fam represent!

Do feel pretty ****.

Surgery opens at 8:15am but phones don't open until 8:30am. We could do a time trial? See who has to wait on hold the longest? XD

Other than the prospect of waiting on hold how are you this morning?

long road 17-08-2023 07:06 AM

Morning Jenna the Ninja QK QK

Pi.R^2 17-08-2023 07:07 AM

What a throwback!

long road 17-08-2023 07:13 AM

I am an eternal throwback :p

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 07:16 AM

Morning jenna!
How are you?

Thanks!

Ooh we could do jen!

I'm ok. Slightly panicked about a particular thing but I'll get over it!

Didn't typing QK get banned for a while?

long road 17-08-2023 07:27 AM

Screenshot your total call time and message it to me and I will do the same and we can compare.

Panic happens if it's the thing in your RV from last night for tonight I get why that would be panic inducing. Feel free to post in your thread if you want to talk anything through.

Don't remind Jenna :plain:

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 07:30 AM

I will!

It is indeed!
Once again, i don't like to annoy people in the thread. Because i keep doing the things and people tell me not to do the things and then i usually do the things anyway because i fail as a human being.

Nah it's ok, the sheriff of ryl will report it I'm sure XD

long road 17-08-2023 08:00 AM

Almost time to say ready, set,go!

We might not be able to change ED thoughts because it's an illness. But we can at least try and support you and help you get through the anxious/panic moments. You wouldn't be bothering us.

I have tea now. I would usually have coffee in the mornings but my heart rate is high at the moment and tea is a bit more mellow compared to proper ground coffee

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 08:06 AM

It's not looking good. It took calling several times before i even got through and there are more than 20 people ahead of me in the queue D:

Yeah that's true!

That's a very sensible idea!

long road 17-08-2023 08:15 AM

Fun...At least they tell you where you are in the queue! Mine either you don't get through or you are on hold, no indication how long it might be! 14 minutes unti my GP reception race start time :p

I remain captain sensible :p

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 08:17 AM

Yeah i guess so!
Still more than 20 people. Definitely not getting an appointment.
It's actually just said 'all of our agents are currently busy' with no number. I don't know what that means. Possibly that I'm now less than 20 but it only starts counting again at 9 or 10 i think.
I hope you have more luck than me!

Indeed!

long road 17-08-2023 08:23 AM

*shakes head in despair at Beckie's GP surgery*

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 08:25 AM

Still the same...if i get an appointment now it will be nothing short of a miracle

long road 17-08-2023 08:40 AM

*does victory lap* have sent Beckie proof that it only took me 4 minutes to get through and be put on the list for a call back from the nurse practioner I have seen 3 times already in the last week.

I am however pissed off on Beckie's behalf that she is still waiting

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 08:46 AM

I am caller number 4.
Though it seems irrelevant at this point

long road 17-08-2023 08:59 AM

Hang in there friend. Sorry it's so rubbish. Do your practise do online triage forms or anything? You could put one in if they do and maybe at least get doctor to order tests.

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 09:08 AM

No appointments! She did put me on hold a few times, presumably to check what to do with other people.
They've insisted on booking me an appointment on the 29th, which is the day before the medical monitoring appointment. So I'll cancel that later because she insisted on booking it for me. They can do all that stuff there anyway. It's just that they wanted it done this week.
Also, it's in L. At 8:20am. Absolutely no way I'm going to be able to get there anyway.
No online triage. They used to but don't anymore for some reason.

long road 17-08-2023 09:43 AM

Probably don't have staff to process online triage. Wish it was easier for you.

At least you can get on with your day now. What's first up on your busy list?

Just got call back from Nurse and have an appointment at 11:40am.

Also I brushed my teeth and covered myself in toothpaste (after I had got changed out of PJ's into day clothes). Have try to wipe off the stain but may have to change t-shirts before I go out as I don't think toothpaste stains are very stylish XD

tamobhuuta 17-08-2023 10:08 AM

Congratulations on your appointment lr.

Cacoethes, sucks to be you!

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 10:28 AM

Glad one of us got an appointment at least!

Toothpaste stains go when you wipe them off, but then they reappear for some reason!

I went for a run, vets at 12:20, then probably go for coffee with L because she's driving us to the vets, then nails at 3:30 and taekwondo at 6. Also having a night in with L after taekwondo because S doesn't get back from the beach with his carer until 10pm.

What's everyone else up to today?

long road 17-08-2023 10:36 AM

Thanks Beckie.

Toothpaste stains and their ability to disappear when wiped and then reappear when dry is one of life's great mysteries!

Great that L is driving you to vets. No need to carry the boys as far and a car journey has to be less stressful for them than public transport. Hope you can enjoy your time with her today.

What pattern/design are you thinking of for your nails?

Only plan so far is nurse appointment. But if I get through that I think I will treat myself to watching a movie snuggled up on the sofa.

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 10:46 AM

It's so weird isn't it??

Yeah definitely! And it's really warm!
It's the usual vets, not the specialist vets this time. So it would be about a 25 min walk dragging their furry butts up there. Usually takes 15-20 minus piggos. They're so heavy!

I've got a pic of one. All black, but sunflowers on one nail.

Sounds good!

long road 17-08-2023 11:09 AM

Do we know any chemists or dentists who could give us insight into why it happens??

Bless them. So chunky!

Ooh I love sunflowers, my favourite flower one because they are yellow which is my favourite colour and two because it's one of the few flowers that doesn't make me sneeze.

tamobhuuta 17-08-2023 11:13 AM

Love the video lr.

I've got my friend E coming round for coffee, haven't seen him for ages. I'm worried I won't be good company.

long road 17-08-2023 11:15 AM

Glad you liked it. Avenue Q is awesome I saw the production on tour when I was 18.

Hope you can enjoy your time with E, can you CBT the thought about not being good enough company? For example evidence that E wants to see you and be in your company is they have arranged to come over etc.

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 11:20 AM

One of my brothers has a masters in chemistry, and does work doing chemisty things. I'll ask him.

They are very chunky!

Sunflowers are beautiful.

I hope you have a nice time tamo

long road 17-08-2023 11:21 AM

Ooh exciting science knowledge! I hope he knows.

I am just about to put my shoes on and head out. See you all soon.

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 11:31 AM

I have asked in the sibling group chat!

Hope it goes ok!

tamobhuuta 17-08-2023 11:40 AM

Thanks for the CBT skill lr. Good luck at your appointment.

Cacoethes 17-08-2023 11:43 AM

'Not 100% sure but might be that when you rub it it dissolves making it appear to disappear, but it’s just in solution
Then when it drys again it reappears'

That's all i got. He was roasted by other brother for the 'appear to disappear' thing XD

long road 17-08-2023 12:10 PM

Nurse has sent me back to Same Day Emergency Care so another day in the hospital ahead of me alas.

Just stopped at home to pick up my to go bag of clothes etc. And then driving there. It's where I probably need to be with how I'll I am feeling but really wish I didn't have to go.

Nurse is hopeful I will get to see the respiratory team again this time and we can get it sorted.

tamobhuuta 17-08-2023 12:15 PM

Eurgh, hospitals suck, but if that's where you need to be, that's where you need to be.

one_step_closer 17-08-2023 12:16 PM

Sorry you're heading back to hospital, Jen. I hope everything goes ok.

Hope you have a nice day, Beckie.

I hope you can enjoy seeing your friend, Tamo.

Jenna, I probably gave the book 3 stars because I find it hard to give serious subject books higher stars because it just feels wrong. But I might be mistaken, can't remember the book really.

I have been to Asda and washed my hair (at home, not at Asda).

tamobhuuta 17-08-2023 12:47 PM

You should be able to wash your hair at Asda. Like, if your shower's broken or whatever you could pay a quid for a shower.

Zurg 17-08-2023 01:25 PM

Hi all :)

I don't like showering at a place where many others may be showering. I'm too shy :(
I never showered at the gym. I went home to shower. It felt like all the other Ladies at the gym were really thin and so good looking. Major insecurity thing happening in my head….

I'm doing laundry. And feeling really rubbish physically. Hope i don't faint or something equally embarressing!!!!

I'm rooting for you, Jen!!! Hope you won't have to stay long in hospital. Xx

Beckie, i am amazed at the memory of how heavy a Guinea pig actually feels, when you have to carry it somewhere.
Findus weighs 4 kilos and he feels bloody heavy in his backpack when i ride to the vet on my bike. Especially when he gets angry and frustrated and tries escaping the backpack… D:

long road 17-08-2023 01:32 PM

They are being speedy today already had an ECG, and done obs. Done bloods. And now waiting for an xray. The Same Day Emergency Care waiting room is pretty much empty only me and two other patients other patient rather than chock a block like on Friday.

Feelin a little better now think inhaler took on the way to hospital has kicked in a bit.

P.s. thanks for all the well wishes. Signal is spotty on SDEC but I am at xray department at the minute where the signal is better. Will check in when I can!
