tamobhuuta 01-10-2019 01:25 PM

It chucked it down here. Now I'm wearing an extra jumper. Trying to find a present for a friend now. I'm thinking nice prayer beads but I can't decide what colour.

Cacoethes 01-10-2019 01:34 PM

Afternoon guys

Good luck with your phone call np

It was raining here too

Prayer beads sound like a good present

nonperson 01-10-2019 01:49 PM

Loads of rain here earlier too. It's super sunny now though.

Does your friend have a favourite colour, Tamo?

chinahorse 01-10-2019 01:53 PM

Rainbow colours!

I'm finally home from southmead hospital.

What's everyone up to?

chinahorse 01-10-2019 01:54 PM

Need a wedding gift idea. Something inexpensive but personal.

nonperson 01-10-2019 02:00 PM

Eek... personalised photoframe so they can put a nice wedding pic in it?

Etsy have some cheapish engraved wooden ones.

chinahorse 01-10-2019 02:14 PM

Not sure it'll arrive in time. It's on the 6th.

I live in a little town with some nice gift art shops. So it's combating the anxiety to go look.

nonperson 01-10-2019 02:25 PM

Ah yeah time is a bit tight for online shopping then. Can anyone go with you?

chinahorse 01-10-2019 02:26 PM

Nope. No local friends at all. Mum is on holiday and dads partner is away too.

nonperson 01-10-2019 02:27 PM

Have you been out on your own since being back home?

Maybe choose a quiet time of day to go if that would help.

chinahorse 01-10-2019 02:29 PM

Yeah. Been out once by myself and once I was dropped off and did the appointment making by myself.

Not sure when would be quiet really. It's full of retired people all the time it seems. Maybe I'll go when it's raining next.

nonperson 01-10-2019 02:32 PM

That's good you've managed it already - hopefully it went ok before so will be alright when you go out again.

Ah yeah, that might be a good time. Even retired people don't go out in the rain.

chinahorse 01-10-2019 02:35 PM

Yeah, had a melt down the first time but managed the second time.

Ugh. Hate how stupid and ridiculous I am.

nonperson 01-10-2019 02:43 PM

That's encouraging that you managed the second time round. It might improve again next time.

You're not stupid and ridiculous at all. Try not to beat yourself up!

chinahorse 01-10-2019 03:26 PM

True.

I have that restless leg feeling. In my arms! So weird.

not_so_insig 01-10-2019 03:35 PM

Hope it passes soon Lillie.

chinahorse 01-10-2019 03:43 PM

Me too!

chinahorse 01-10-2019 03:54 PM

Bertie is demanding dinner. Which he never gets till 5 at the earliest.

nonperson 01-10-2019 03:57 PM

They'll always try to push their luck if they can.

not_so_insig 01-10-2019 03:59 PM

Yes my male was particularly persistent today. He gets some treats later because today is his birthday. I gave in at the end.

chinahorse 01-10-2019 04:07 PM

True np

one_step_closer 01-10-2019 04:08 PM

Happy Birthday kitty!

not_so_insig 01-10-2019 04:11 PM

Thanks Lindsay.

one_step_closer 01-10-2019 04:16 PM

My cats will be 10 at some point this month but I'm not sure exactly when.

chinahorse 01-10-2019 04:30 PM

Bertie will be 1 mid to end of this month but I'm not sure when either lindsay.

nonperson 01-10-2019 04:34 PM

I can't believe Bertie isn't one yet. It seems like you've had him for much longer.

chinahorse 01-10-2019 04:39 PM

I agree there np.

tamobhuuta 01-10-2019 05:15 PM

nonperson 02-10-2019 07:43 AM

I like a few songs.

Morning everyone. Too early to be awake...

nonperson 02-10-2019 08:32 AM

Since when has Renee Zellweger been 50?!

chinahorse 02-10-2019 09:11 AM

Since her birthday :-P

tamobhuuta 02-10-2019 09:18 AM

I thought she was way younger than that!

Morning all. I've got to get a blood test today.

chinahorse 02-10-2019 09:59 AM

I knew someone was going to say that!

Tamo, that's what I thought too. Ick, blood test. =/

chinahorse 02-10-2019 10:18 AM

Hehe. Forgive me. I had 0 sleep last night.

Today I need to bath and wash my hair and hoover the house and put the recycling out. What's everyone else's plans?

chinahorse 02-10-2019 10:19 AM

And wash up. :-(

nonperson 02-10-2019 10:23 AM

Similar to your plans. Just done some washing up, need to shower and put bins out later. Desperately need to hoover. Change bedding. Such a fun packed day.

Also got a physio assessment over the phone at 2:45... =/

chinahorse 02-10-2019 10:25 AM

Our days sound thrilling.

How can they do a physio assessment without looking at you?!

nonperson 02-10-2019 10:28 AM

I'm not entirely sure! But it's apparently how they do it with Bupa and quicker to get a referral somewhere rather than going to the GP. I guess they'll just ask me a lot of questions... Other people I've talked to at work say it's been ok, just got to be really clear about symptoms.

nonperson 02-10-2019 10:30 AM

Weirdly the physio man who's going to ring me has the same name as one of the really posh people on Made In Chelsea so I'm trying not to believe that it's actually the same person.

chinahorse 02-10-2019 10:38 AM

I couldn't name anyone on that show! But yes, hope not.

Bertie keeps licking my porridge bowl. Naughty cat.

nonperson 02-10-2019 10:55 AM

I can, unfortunately. He's one of the worst of them too but I'm sure it's not the same person, heh. Just... mind's going a bit haywire with it all. =/

Naughty Bertie.
