one_step_closer 06-02-2025 02:17 PM

Afternoon everyone. I hope the tough times pass for you all asap.

not_so_insig 06-02-2025 02:52 PM

Thanks Lindsay.

long road 06-02-2025 03:22 PM

Not zooming is hard. But at least managing to stay sat at the moment.

Hope work goes ok Beckie.

How are you Lindsay?

Got anything to do today Dawn?

Cacoethes 06-02-2025 05:18 PM

Thanks lindsay
How're you doing?

Thanks. Going ok so far.
Been pretty boring. Gonna be on my own from 5:30. Which is always fun...

one_step_closer 06-02-2025 07:12 PM

I imagine that must be really difficult, Jen.

Good luck with the rest of your shift, Beckie. How is Colin Robinson settling in?

I have been trying my best to fight off distress today but it never stays away for long.

long road 06-02-2025 07:47 PM

It is tricky been doing Lego to keep myself busy/ distracted but also not moving around a lot. But also Lego is fun.

Well done for trying Lindsay. Even a small moment free from distress is a victory.

not_so_insig 06-02-2025 08:31 PM

Other than cleaning I haven't got much to do today Jen. But I have nearly finished that.

Sometimes getting through the day without harming yourself is a big victory Lindsay. Even if you're distressed. At least that's what I tell myself atm.

Cacoethes 07-02-2025 12:41 AM

Thanks lindsay
Colin Robinson seems to be settling in well!
He has a favourite hide now

Cacoethes 07-02-2025 08:50 AM

Morning everyone

long road 07-02-2025 11:33 AM

Good morning and goodnight!

Just got home from A&E for asthma. Details in RV. Haven't slept in over 24 hours going to attempt to sleep now. If lungs let me.

Cacoethes 07-02-2025 11:42 AM

Hey jen
Hope you're feeling better!

long road 07-02-2025 02:29 PM

Well got 3 hours sleep before needing another nebuliser. Still pretty rough. How is everyone else?

one_step_closer 07-02-2025 03:04 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Sorry to hear that, Jen. I hope you can get some rest.

How are things with you today, Beckie?

long road 07-02-2025 03:32 PM

Think that's all the sleep I am getting for now. Feel too wired from all the meds. But going to try lying down listening to music so I at least rest.

How are you Lindsay? How is crookshanks?

Cacoethes 07-02-2025 03:34 PM

That is not enough sleep jen!
Hopefully you'll at least be able to get some rest today

I'm ok thanks.
Got quite a bit done today. Went and got some hay, cleaned out the piggos, showered, did my morning things, changed the bed, did washing, folded other washing, posted my vinted parcel.
Got the peasant wagon into town to meet L later to get the train.
She doesn't finish until 4pm. Got the unlimited refill hot drinks at spoons for £1.71 so gonna chill here until then

How are you lindsay?

long road 07-02-2025 04:47 PM

No more sleep to be had. I got up and zoomed around a bit but have now persuaded my self to come back to bed to try and rest. Had an additional dose of steroids via injection last night so the urge to zoom is extra strong!

Well done for all you got done today Beckie and hooray for unlimited hot drinks spoons to the rescue by providing somewhere to sit for super cheap.

Enjoy the concert! I am a tiny bit jealous of you XD

Cacoethes 07-02-2025 04:57 PM

No zooming!
I really hope you can get some rest

Thank you!
Spoons can be useful sometimes XD

Thanks! It should be a good night

long road 07-02-2025 05:18 PM

Managed to stay sat for last half hour which is something! Sleep feels impossible right now. Might manage some later when steroids zoom wears off a bit, all depends on if lungs cooperate!

Spoons is handy and I do like how they are refusing a load of old historic buildings that would oprobably herwise be abandoned.

I hope you get to enjoy the concert to it's fullest. You deserve a good night!

one_step_closer 07-02-2025 07:01 PM

I don't know if you're not mentioning which concert you're going to hear, Beckie, so I will just say I am listening to them on Spotify because you have put them in my head. Definitely not as good as a concert though! I hope you have an amazing time.

I hope your body starts to behave soon, Jen. Look out for something coming in the post! (Nothing really exciting).

I'm trying to be ok but it's very, very hard. Crookshanks is currently having a nap at the other side of the couch.

long road 07-02-2025 07:13 PM

Ooh post! All post is exciting (except bills). This reminds me that I had something I have been meaning to post you Lindsay! There may or may not be post in your future because my brain is fried and I may just forget again XD Schrödinger's Post XD

My body doesn't really know the meaning of the word behave. But with meds, breathing exercises from respiratory physio, distractions, grounding and sheer willpower am trying my best to get it to cooperate.

Sorry it's so hard. Would you like a hug?

I am jealous of crookshanks I want to nap!

one_step_closer 07-02-2025 07:32 PM

You are doing great, Jen. I don't know if I'd cope as well as you, I know you struggle but you keep fighting.

I think you have been trying to send me post for more than a year now!

Hugs are always welcome. Yeah, to be a cat.

long road 07-02-2025 07:54 PM

What can I say I'm stubborn XD

Probably about that long! I am rather scatterbrained like that :P

Then hugs you shall have. I would love to have a cosy nap in a shaft of sunlight playing onto a soft surface. Kitty cats have it good.

tamobhuuta 07-02-2025 09:33 PM

Evening all. Been reading but nothing to add.

long road 08-02-2025 12:20 AM

Good to hear from you Tamo.

long road 08-02-2025 11:00 AM

Morning Everyone!

Cacoethes 08-02-2025 11:08 AM

Morning!

long road 08-02-2025 11:12 AM

How was the concert Beckie?

And how are you doing today?

one_step_closer 08-02-2025 02:38 PM

Afternoon everyone, how are you all?

not_so_insig 08-02-2025 03:46 PM

Afternoon all.

long road 08-02-2025 04:11 PM

Still ill but a little better. Needed less nebuliser treatments so far today than I did by this point yesterday. Trying to take it easy. Currently building my Lego set.

How are you Lindsay and Dawn?

not_so_insig 08-02-2025 05:19 PM

Could be better, could be worse. Compared to this time last week I am much better though.

Hope you're better soon Jen.

long road 08-02-2025 06:39 PM

Progress is always good so glad you are feeling better compared to a week ago Dawn. I hope the trend continues.

I hope I feel better soon too being ill sucks!

one_step_closer 08-02-2025 06:46 PM

What Lego are you building, Jen?

I'm glad you're doing better than last week, Dawn.

I'm having a hard day.

long road 08-02-2025 06:51 PM

I am building a Lego architecture set of Himeji Castle, a famous castle in Japan. Its very cool! Only got 4 bags to go. Done 13 already.

Hugs for your hard day Lindsay. Is there any small nice things you could do for yourself that might help?

one_step_closer 08-02-2025 07:17 PM

Wow, Jen, I don't have that kind of patience!

I don't know what I can do. My mind goes straight to a food treat but I really need to sort out my eating.

Cacoethes 08-02-2025 07:40 PM

The concert was brilliant thanks!
Had a great time! Made friends with a couple of blokes sitting next to us too, they were good fun XD
Went to camden today for a look around and had lunch at The Cheese Bar. Then a random exhibition about the brain near St Pancras because we had like an hour until the train.

Shattered now! Just gonna have dinner and then shower and chill.

Hope everyone is OK!
Anyone doing anything this evening?

long road 08-02-2025 10:13 PM

I find building Lego models relaxing so don't really need patience. Occupies my Brain and my hands and let's me enter a sort of flow state.

It's tricky to find rewards / nice things. Some suggestions other than food for nice things for yourself include:
- self care stuff e.g. massaging in body lotion/moisturiser , face masks etc.
- Nice smells - so lighting a scented candle or incense, applying perfume

Nothing wrong with food treats though, everything in moderation!

Glad you enjoyed yourself Beckie. Does sound rather tiring though. What was your favourite cheese you tried at the cheese bar?

Mentally ok but my lungs are still being grumpy. Just had a nebuliser. Still got to spend last night in my own bed which is a win. Hopefully tonight will be same

long road 09-02-2025 09:28 AM

Morning!

Cacoethes 09-02-2025 11:33 AM

Morning everyone

long road 09-02-2025 11:59 AM

Morning!

How are you? Got anything on today?

one_step_closer 09-02-2025 01:15 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Oh my goodness a cheese bar sounds amazing!

How are you all today?

Cacoethes 09-02-2025 01:38 PM

I'm ok thanks
Just been to asda and poundland. We may go to pets at home or the fish/pet shop we got Colin Robinson from later to look at some fish for L and S.

How are you guys?

The cheese bar is amazing!
Basically all they serve are cheese dishes. With all different types of cheese.
We have poutine. So good!

Anyone got any plans today?

long road 09-02-2025 01:55 PM

Afternoon!

Ooh more fancy fish!

I have heard of routine but not tried it. Think I would like it as an a fan of chips and gravy and of chips and cheese.

I am ok thanks. Feeling a bit better lung wise today think steroids are doing their job. Didn't sleep much, maybe 5 hours. Achieved my main goal for today of having a shower. Urge to zoom is definitely there and have been pottering about the flat but at least managed to make myself do so slowly.

No fixed plans. Might watch some more Stargate SG-1 later. Might build some more Lego. Need to book an online food shopping order with tesco today or tomorrow.

Cacoethes 09-02-2025 02:10 PM

You can never have too many fancy fish!

You definitely would like it then!
It's almost the same, but they use cheese curds also. Delicious!

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. And well done on the shower!

long road 09-02-2025 03:01 PM

I would concur, I don't think there is a such a thing as too many fancy fish! As long as they all fit in the tank of course XD all this talk of fancy fish has reminded me of when I went to the aquarium with my friend and the entrance was really hard to find so we called the impenetrable fortress of fish XD

I am not sure eI have ever had cheese curds. But I like all cheese except blue cheese which I generally find too strong so would probably like curds.

Shower was so lovely and refreshing. It's feels good to be clean!

nonperson 09-02-2025 04:06 PM

Did someone say cheese bar?! =o

Lego is good! My friend bought me a Lego orchid for my birthday (because I can't keep my real ones alive...) so I need to make time to do that.

SG-1 is also good. I approve.

Hello =)

Cacoethes 09-02-2025 04:10 PM

Impenetrable fortress of fish XD

S was not in the mood for fish shopping, so we left without fish. Another time perhaps!

I'm not a fan of blue cheese either.
But I do think you would like cheese curds!

I agree jen. Always nice to be clean.

I did np! If you're ever in Camden, I would highly recommend it!
And hello! How are you?

nonperson 09-02-2025 04:21 PM

I had blue cheese on toast for breakfast this morning. It was a really creamy and mild one, not strong at all like stilton.

I'm sure I can find a reason to go to Camden some time =)

I'm ok. Been at work today, done a thousand loads of washing and some tidying and I'm now attempting to write some emails to potential therapists... =/

How're you?

Cacoethes 09-02-2025 04:30 PM

Camden is a pretty cool place anyway :)

Good luck in your email writing!

I'm ok thanks. Not really much going on here

nonperson 09-02-2025 05:07 PM

How's your snake settling in?

How do you tell if a snake is happy?
