Covid jab all done. It was much more organised and quicker than last time, although much busier and a man kept trying to force me to take a sticker afterwards like I was a child o.O

I probably would have taken a sticker if it didn't mean breaching social distancing to take one! Most people were taking them and asking where they could stick it, haha.

Morning all.

I am awake because someone from dpd knocked on my door at 9 am! Unfortunately I was asleep so didn't get to the door in time. Now I am wondering who on earth sent me a package. Although dpd sent me a card with a tracking number I don't recognise the sender. Dpd are coming back tomorrow which is annoying as **** because I was supposed to be going to the hearing voices group tomorrow so looks like I cant go because I have to wait in all day for this mystery package. Unfortunately dpd haven't sent me an email saying it was coming either :-( I cant seem to change the delivery day either otherwise I would change it to Friday when I'm in all day.

I am expecting an amazon parcel but that's coming today supposedly. But they're using their own courier not dpd. Confused.com

I camt remember the last time a courier has actually needed to see me... they dont even knock anymore, ever since covid started they just leave stuff at the door.

Have they given you a time for tomorrow's delivery at least?

Ooh a mystery parcel. I'd go to the group anyway, Dawn. They'll just leave another card if you're not in. Is your name definitely on it? Maybe it's not even for you of you're not expecting anything!

All the couriers I've used lately just leave the package at the door too.

I think dpd are usually better than amazon and hermes etc. With the chucking of parcels on front door steps!

Amazon just threw my latest parcel over the gate last week so when I came home I opened the gate and smacked right into it. Luckily it was nothing breakable in there!

My last few amazon deliveries they've knocked on the door, left the parcel and then i can only assume they sprint back to their van because I answer the door pretty quickly!
I have a delivery coming today via hermes. I can't remember what I ordered!

I have managed to get the package delivered on Friday so I can go to the hearing voices group tomorrow. I still have no idea what the mystery package is. I suppose that they deemed it unsafe to leave it on my doorstep as I live in a block of flats and it could be nicked. Though if they rang the doorbell then it would have woken me up and therefore I would have answered the door as my knocker isn't very loud.

I reckon the council spent about 5p on a job lot of knockers as Idk anyone that can hear them they're that useless.

I think people just don't knock them very hard because they're not expecting anyone to be in or don't want to wait for someone to answer.

Maybe invest in a doorbell dawn?

I have a doorbell Beckie just that the dpd man didn't use it. Neither did the amazon man but at least he knocked the door instead of using the knocker so I got my parcel.

I might do that Beckie. Anyway my amazon parcel consisted of a pack of batteries and some round canvases. I got a discount on the canvases because yesterday was prime day.

Still have to have the carers check it but it's good that I don't have to rely on them to pick it up

That's excellent news Beckie! At least you don't have the hassle of relying on carers to pick up meds as they've been useless on that score.

A kiddies slide has appeared in the communal garden. No kiddies live here and I have never known any come visiting. It's an old slide too as it's faded. It's mighty strange.
