nonperson 12-05-2019 10:12 AM

Morning all.

The light of day has revealed it is worse than I thought!

tamobhuuta 12-05-2019 11:24 AM

Oh no is that fixable?

one_step_closer 12-05-2019 11:38 AM

Oh no NP, that doesn't look good at all. Does it still work despite being bashed?

nonperson 12-05-2019 12:05 PM

Yeah it still works. The screen is a bit wobbly because one hinge is loose and every time I pop it back together it just busts open again! I didn't buy it and it was second hand and the battery doesn't work anyway so I'm not bothered. Might see if duct tape improves it a bit. =)

What's everyone up to today?

chinahorse 12-05-2019 12:12 PM

Oh wow np you did a proper job on that there!

I've done the housework and even cleaned out the hoover filter. Just had some lunch and am chilling out.

nonperson 12-05-2019 12:24 PM

I really did. Duct tape seems to have done the job though. =P

Ah, cleaning the hoover filter is one of those easy to forget about jobs.

chinahorse 12-05-2019 12:28 PM

Good good.

I forgot about it forever it seems and then after doing it I nearly suck the carpet off the floor. Seems it really makes a difference!

nonperson 12-05-2019 12:34 PM

Hehe, must have been really clogged up. =P

chinahorse 12-05-2019 12:36 PM

It was rather. I have very long hair.

nonperson 12-05-2019 12:39 PM

Mine's not long and is quite fine but somehow seems to wrap itself around the rollerhead in clumps.

chinahorse 12-05-2019 12:41 PM

Ah see I bought one without a brush roller for that reason!

nonperson 12-05-2019 12:52 PM

I have to reconsider mine. >.>

Or chop all my hair off.

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 01:08 PM

Hey guys

nonperson 12-05-2019 01:18 PM

Afternoon Beckie. How's it going?

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 01:19 PM

Not bad
Been asleep mostly until now
Staying in my PJs today because cba

How are you?

nonperson 12-05-2019 01:22 PM

PJ day sounds good. I'm still in mine too.

I'm feeling very vague today. =/ Waiting for the washing machine to finish and trying to work up some motivation to go do things...

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 01:30 PM

PJs ftw!

What do you have to do today?

nonperson 12-05-2019 01:31 PM

Well, lots of laundry really and some gardening. Need to plant my tree. =)

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 01:49 PM

Ooo new tree!

nonperson 12-05-2019 01:58 PM

Yup, it's a very pretty apple tree. Had it for a while, just not had a spot to put it.

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 02:04 PM

Nice!

Eska 12-05-2019 02:32 PM

Sounds pretty np!

My shopping arrived and I've put it away. That's pretty much the extent of my productivity today. Oh and I need to have a shower.

one_step_closer 12-05-2019 02:39 PM

Stupid question but to apple trees grow from the seeds in apples? I remember planting some of those seeds when I was a small person.

It's ok to not be mega productive Eska. Have you been doing anything relaxing/fun?

nonperson 12-05-2019 02:53 PM

Yes they do, Lindsay. Most of them available to buy are grafted though, which involves cutting a small bit off one tree and literally sticking it on to a seedling of another! That's where mine came from - made it at work myself.

(Also, I love stupid questions - I always encourage my students to ask the stupid ones, no matter how stupid they might seem!)

Hi Eska. Yay for shopping. =)

chinahorse 12-05-2019 03:04 PM

I've learnt something new today now np!

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 03:06 PM

I have planted sooo many apple seeds over the years as a child!
Wonder if anything happened to them?

nonperson 12-05-2019 03:25 PM

They're probably huge monster trees by now, Beckie. =P

tamobhuuta 12-05-2019 03:26 PM

Sounds like some chilled Sundays. My big sis has come round :)

chinahorse 12-05-2019 03:27 PM

That's nice tamo.

I want a plant but I think bertie bum would eat it.

tamobhuuta 12-05-2019 03:30 PM

Maybe a cactus? He would only bite it once.

Eska 12-05-2019 03:30 PM

I am showered and have clean hair :) Lindsay, I’ve mostly been watching Netflix.

Hope you have a nice time with your sister Tamo.

I have two plants. I’m unreasonably proud that I got them months ago and they’re still alive! One is aloe vera and the other is some kind of succulent.

nonperson 12-05-2019 03:32 PM

Geordi doesn't pay attention to any of mine in the house. It's the ones in the garden that he loves - he tried pooping right on top of one yesterday.

You could always put one on a stand so Bertie can't reach it?

tamobhuuta 12-05-2019 03:32 PM

Well done for the showering and the plants.

chinahorse 12-05-2019 03:45 PM

Ooo what an achievement eska! Keeping plants alive is hard!

Well done on the showering.

Bertie eats my cactus. He is not a bright cat.

tamobhuuta 12-05-2019 04:05 PM

Oh dear

one_step_closer 12-05-2019 06:10 PM

I had a terrarium with cacti and my kitties kept pulling the plants out with their mouths so before they got to the spikey ones I got rid of the whole thing.

zombiehunter 12-05-2019 06:36 PM

its suck a nice night and I would love to go for a walk but I cant cos its the old firm today and there will be drunken celtic and rangers fans staggering around looking to pick a fight with everything that moves

chinahorse 12-05-2019 06:49 PM

Oh that sucks zombie. Is there no where else to go to avoid them?

I need to put the sheets on my bed :-(

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 07:00 PM

That doesn't sound fun zombie!

nonperson 12-05-2019 07:05 PM

I also need to put the sheets on my bed too, Lillie... =/

But in the meantime I have achieved this:

chinahorse 12-05-2019 07:07 PM

OO looking good there np!

Putting sheets on the bed is the worst.

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 07:08 PM

Looking good np!

Putting sheets on the bed is effort

chinahorse 12-05-2019 07:16 PM

In the next add break I'm putting some sheets on. I AM.

nonperson 12-05-2019 07:16 PM

I agree it is the worst job. I just have the duvet to do, did the rest this morning. Saving the worse bit to last...!

And thanks. The lawn needs a desperate mow though.

Stellata 12-05-2019 07:18 PM

Good work tree planting and changing sheets etc etc everyone!

This morning I made my parents' bed, put out their rubbish, trimmed back their rose hedge and did their shopping.
Coming home this afternoon I misread the engineering works and didn't realise the Circle line was out, so had an alternative route home [half the Met line was already out, but I knew that!]

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 07:25 PM

Good luck Lillie!

My lawn really needs mowing toi
Couldn't do it the othet day when I was home because it was raining

Well done katie! Very productive
Shame about the tube though

chinahorse 12-05-2019 07:29 PM

You have a good excuse though beckie!

Wow katie, very productive indeed.

I have put the piullow cases, mattress protector and sheet on.

Stellata 12-05-2019 07:31 PM

Thanks Lillie!

Well done. :)

Cacoethes 12-05-2019 08:03 PM

That's true lillie!

Well done!

chinahorse 12-05-2019 08:35 PM

Duvet cover is now on and I'm knackered. Always have to wrestle with it lol.
