Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them by Newt Scamander (JK Rowling) :p

Eccentrics 27-01-2014 02:16 PM

Just started 'The Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night-time'

The War Doctor 27-01-2014 02:58 PM

Today I finished Doctor Who: The Witch Hunters by Stephen Cole, which was about the Salem Witch Trials. Almost immediately after getting home I ordered two new books; another Doctor Who book and a non-fiction book about the Witch Trials.

Now I'm debating whether to re-read Bret Hart's autobiography or read Going Postal by Terry Pratchett.

American psycho by Brett Easton Ellis and also the dark knight strikes again graphic novel

I started reading Deception Point by Dan Brown again last night.
I know a lot of literature elitists who hate Dan Brown, but his books grab me and keep me interested right through, which is rare for me at the moment.
I've only read it once, I can't remember much about it. I must have read Angels and Demons about 8 times.

Re-reading Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight

Is one of my favourites :)

Book five of a song of ice and fire by George RR Martin

The War Doctor 15-02-2014 10:54 AM

Earlier this week I finished reading HITMAN: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Professional Wrestling by Bret Hart, which is one of my favourite books of all time. Now I'm about halfway through Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett.

Finally got round to finishing the dark knight strikes again graphic novel and I'm more than halfway through vol1 of the death note manga, never read a manga before but I figured since I loved the death note movies and anime I'd give it a shot

I started 'Crank' today by Ellen Hopkins which is amazing so far. I loved the writing style it's so different than anything I have read so far.
Before that I read 'Allegiant' by Veronica Roth which was a little disappointing??

Today I finished Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett. It wasn't as laugh-out-loud funny as some of his other books, but still brilliant. It's amazing how he can make the invention of the steam engine seem like the birth of an all-powerful, benevolent god.

Tomorrow I'm going to start reading A Delusion Of Satan by Frances Hill, it's apparently one of the better accounts of the Salem Witch Trials, a subject which has been of great interest to me recently. I'm looking forward to reading it.

I've been on holiday and did a lot of reading, but not gonna name them all. At the moment I am reading By the Time You Read This I Will be Dead by Julie Anne Peters.

I've just started 'I Capture the Castle' by Dodie Smith. It's alright, though a little disappointing after all the good things I've heard about it - but I'm not very far into it, so hopefully it will grow on me!

Potatoes Not Prozac by Kathleen DesMaisons.

It's quite interesting so far.

I'm reading the manga: Naoki Urasawa's Monster
I finished volume 1 and within 20 pages or so, I was hooked!

I'm also reading The Magician: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel
It's an extension on a story about an immortal wizard from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I've been engrossed in the Harry Potter world since the first book came out and this is a great read to add to it.

Still looking for dystopian novels that I haven't read yet.

How are you taking to it?

I am reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.

I'm struggling to get into it, it's a bit strange but I think it will get better!

I never realised there were more Harry Potter related books, the one about Nicholas Flamel sounds like a good one to read next what's it like?

Too Shy 26-02-2014 10:56 AM

I am reading Confessions of a Male Nurse.

It's interesting, I like books like this. Could do with a nice fiction book to read afterwards though.

MissGranger 26-02-2014 11:00 AM

That sounds really interesting!

I'm reading three books currently;

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Where Are The Children by Mary Higgins Clark.

Really getting into where are the children.
