Cacoethes 03-05-2023 12:13 PM

Very frustrating. But the people were incredibly lovely and I got seen immediately!

Going anywhere nice for dinner tamo? Happy birthday to your dad!

I sleep with just a sheet and window open. But hospitals are always boiling!

Have a nice time in the garden!
It's a nice day here

tamobhuuta 03-05-2023 12:50 PM

I'm glad the appointment was ok.

We're going to Cote for dinner.

long road 03-05-2023 12:51 PM

Yay for being seen despite ward BS!

Hospitals are indeed always boiling, you are lucky you have a window you can open.

Yay glad you have some sunshine Tamo. Ooh Cote thats a fancy spot!

Garden was nice although the wind kept blowing off my sunhat (decided to wear one as got headache yesterday just after being outside). I listened to some Frank Turner while I was out there.

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 01:10 PM

Afternoon all. I have been asleep all morning. Not very long woken up.

tamobhuuta 03-05-2023 01:28 PM

Dad and my brother like their steak!
Who's Frank Turner?

Do you feel better from your sleep?

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 01:51 PM

Hi blabbermouths! It's so busy in here at points these days but that's good. I just can't reply to everyone until I'm mingled in the discussion.

I hope you all have good days.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 01:53 PM

Going on home leave for a week!

tamobhuuta 03-05-2023 01:58 PM

Hi osc, what are you up to?

Well done Cacoethes. There's no such thing as a week's leave here.

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 02:00 PM

That's exciting, Beckie. Do you feel up to it though?

Hi, Tamo. I'm just waiting on my Asda delivery which they have estimated will be here at 1.20pm. I hope you enjoy your dinner this evening.

Hopefully they have some good vegetarian options for you too. Have a nice time with the family :)

Frank Turner is a musician/ singer songwriter. He make folk rock music and is one of my favourite artists ever. I saw him live 3 times when I was a teenager and used to go to gigs.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 02:16 PM

Thanks!
They always do a weeks leave here. Idk why because you always get discharged afterwards unless something REALLY bad happens! Don't even have to see crisis!

Definitely up to it! I'm so ready to get out!

I hope you have some yummy things in your delivery lindsay!

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 02:18 PM

I hope it's positive for you, Beckie and you can be discharged soon and look after yourself well with some good support.

I think I ordered Asda's brand of chocolate. It's cheaper and sometimes tastier than branded chocolate, but I'm not sure if I deleted it from my list. I hope I haven't!

Weird you don't have to see crisis or anything. Like no real step down. Still crisis can be a chocolate teapot so doubt your disappointed not to see them! XD

Hope your chocolate arrives OSC. My treat in this week's shopping was a packet of bourbon biscuits.

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 02:33 PM

Bourbons are so tasty, I'm glad you treated yourself.

My Asda delivery is 14 stops away and they've estimated the delivery time to be 1.28pm which has passed. I don't know how they're calculating this. Me with my sucky maths knowledge could do better.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 02:41 PM

Thanks lindsay!
I have to come back for ward round which is effort but it'll all be fine!

Fingers crossed for chocolate!

He asked if i thought i needed crisis but i said no. He doesn't think i need them anyway.

Ooh bourbons!

Hmm. Weird!

I should probably do a tesco order!
Idk what I've got in the house

tamobhuuta 03-05-2023 02:46 PM

Mmm bourbons, haven't had them in years.

I hope you get your chocolate osc.

I didn't really need Crisis Team last time but I was surprised by that so I asked them to come for the 3 days originally planned, just in case!

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 02:50 PM

My order came as soon as I posted that. Still saying it was 14 stops away. And it included chocolate!

When is ward round, Beckie? I hope you have some food in the house or you can get a Tesco delivery ok.

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 02:51 PM

Beckie in case you didn't know the minimum amount for tesco is now £50 for home delivery. Any less than that and you will get charged a fiver. It's only recent but been as you are in ip land you might have missed it. Idk how much you spend but I would thought I would point it out.

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 02:53 PM

Asda is still £40 spend or £3 added.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 03:13 PM

I don't have the patience for crisis team XD

Glad you got your delivery!

I'm guessing ward round will be Wednesday. They said to call on the weekend when they've done the list.

Just done a tesco order!
Earliest slot was Saturday night. I assume everyone's stocking up for coronation stuff

Thanks Dawn!
I always end up spending more than that because of the piggos! And i get a lot of frozen stuff that lasts me for ages.

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 03:20 PM

Will you get in touch with someone if you need to though, Beckie? Will they give you a specific time to be there for ward round instead of having to hang about? Will you get some food etc in from a local shop since you're having to wait till Saturday for your delivery? Questions!

long road 03-05-2023 03:30 PM

Bet the boys will be super happy to have you home Beckie!

I know you probably meant BbQ stuff or party food for coronation weekend, but I got confused thinking how are people getting crowns and memorabilia from Tesco XD

I think I will have a bourbon or two with a cup of tea this afternoon. Trying to take things easy as have roleplaying this evening, we are off to confront some ne'er-do-wells who are digging up graves and have been helping demons.

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 03:36 PM

I got a coronation teddy bear from Tesco's in my last order.

long road 03-05-2023 03:38 PM

Well I stand corrected. Is it a cute teddy? Have you named them?

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 03:45 PM

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Premier-Lif.../dp/B0C2HPB1W4

That's the bear. I think he's cute and no he doesn't have an name.

long road 03-05-2023 03:59 PM

A very regal and rather cute looking bear

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 04:08 PM

Thanks Jen.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 04:10 PM

I think cpns have to do a follow-up within 72 hours?
Idk if i have the same cpn. Its been 6 weeks and that's about how long they last before leaving XD
They will give me a specific time. Will definitely be late but that's standard.
I will go to asda tonight and get a few bits. I have soup and possibly freezer stuff but no coke. Which is essential obviously!

They'll probably think 'oh no, it's the noisy human again!' XD

Yeah i meant bbq stuff lol

Cute bear!

tamobhuuta 03-05-2023 04:16 PM

Aw cute bear.

I hope your leave goes well Cacoethes.

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 04:21 PM

Ryl bin night! I have yet to put mine out. Fortunately it's just recycling this week.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 04:23 PM

Thanks tamo!

I still don't know what day it is XD
The bank holiday has messed me up way more than usual! Lol

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 04:25 PM

It's Wednesday today Beckie. Don't forget that there's a bank holiday on Monday.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 04:36 PM

There are far too many bank holidays in may!

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 04:46 PM

Yes there's only 1 Monday where there isn't an bank holiday
Annoying though as I had to change my tesco order to a Tuesday.

long road 03-05-2023 05:23 PM

May Bank Holida Madness!

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 05:31 PM

They should at least spread them out from month to month! But also, maybe it's better to get them out of the way.
Working in a pub on a warm bank holiday weekend is absolute hell!

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 05:42 PM

My bin is out too, Dawn. :-)

I'm glad the bank holidays haven't messed with the bin collection. Oh the joys of being an adult.

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 05:45 PM

My recycling is out too Lindsay.

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 05:48 PM

It's my general waste bin that's being emptied this week.

Exciting conversation!

Does anyone have plans for dinner?

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 05:50 PM

I'm trying to count Crookshanks resp rate as the vet told me to do once a week but earlier he was dreaming (that's supposed to make it faster) and now he's awake and waiting for dinner time. I need to get him when he's nice and relaxed.

Cacoethes 03-05-2023 05:53 PM

I bet he won't relax now! Lol

The meds are here and I've been accepted by crisis. Which i didn't think i was getting but oh well! No harm in that!
So i should be off soon! Hopefully...nothing runs smoothly here XD

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 05:55 PM

Sounds good, Beckie. I hope you're not waiting for much longer. Having contact with crisis does seem sensible.

Crookshanks is almost always having relaxed snoozes on my lap!

tamobhuuta 03-05-2023 05:56 PM

I hope Crookshanks relaxes soon.

Good luck getting off the ward...

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 05:58 PM

And remember your bin if your neighbour hasn't put it out, lol!

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 05:59 PM

When are you going out for your dinner, Tamo?

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 06:03 PM

Idk what to have for tea. I fancy nachos but I don't think that I have any. Sad times.

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 06:14 PM

That's annoying when you want something that you don't have in. I had ham and pineapple pizza. Sorry if I have caused anyone distress by doing this.

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 06:17 PM

You haven't caused me any distress as I like pineapple on pizza Lindsay. So did my ex psych.

one_step_closer 03-05-2023 06:18 PM

That's good. How did you find out your ex psych liked it?

not_so_insig 03-05-2023 06:21 PM

There was an thread about it ages ago. I asked my ex psych years ago as I had an appointment with him. He is Italian.
