I have semi looked after myself, I made us both a cup of tea. Partner cooked. We ate dinner and I am now zoning out on sofa in front of an episode of Inside the Factory about crumpets. Tamo should definitely watch this if she has iPlayer!

Ducky duck is sat on my shoulder trying to help me feel safe.

Cacoethes 24-04-2023 10:04 PM

Mmm pasta!

Sounds good jen! It's definitely a good start!
What was for dinner?

long road 24-04-2023 10:06 PM

Oooh crumpets!

Cacoethes 24-04-2023 10:17 PM

Love a good crumpet.
I had a discussion with my bestie about it and said i sometimes have jam on my crumpets, along with butter of course and he completely freaked out and immediately put it in his sibling group chat and they all agreed with me XD

Just pizza and salad. Probably should have had something other than pizza as we had takeaway pizza on Saturday but we needed something quick.

Ahimsa 24-04-2023 10:20 PM

Guyzzzzzzz I have a problem.

I'm thirsty, but one of the cats is asleep on my feet.

Sometimes I have just butter.
Sometimes butter and jam
Sometimes almond butter.
And most strange to some is butter, cheese and ham.

XD at the siblings proving you right!
Luckily I got crumpets in today's shop so I can satisfy any potential crumpet cravings that may arise as a result of watching the show. I even have the brand featured in the show!

Hmmm I think solution is a really long straw. Or one of the other kitty's fetching you some water somehow. You cannot move a sleeping cat. It is THE RULES.

Cacoethes 24-04-2023 10:23 PM

You can never have too much pizza

Well that's it, you're going to have to be dehydrated until the cat moves! RIP

Well, you get croissants with cheese and ham in some places in europe so why not crumpets with cheese and ham?? I'm a big fan of the cheese and ham combo.

long road 24-04-2023 10:30 PM

Cheese and ham is a classic combo and very delicious. But if I had to choose one of the two I'd definitely choose cheese.

Cacoethes 24-04-2023 10:32 PM

Yes me too.
Cheese is everything

long road 24-04-2023 10:35 PM

#Cheese4life

Cacoethes 24-04-2023 10:39 PM

Absolutely!

I should probably try and sleep. I just cba to move

The rules?? It's basically the LAW

long road 24-04-2023 10:44 PM

The law is just rules that get enforced. In this case by kitty cats!

I am now watching an Inside the Factory episode about Jaffa Cakes.

I should probably rest properly, possibly sleep and do other self care things but TV and cuddly duck is all I can manage for now. Moving is totally overrated Beckie I say as a half Jen half sofa.

Cacoethes 24-04-2023 10:54 PM

The conversation about cheese made me want cheese.
There was no cheese in the fridge but the nurse checked in the OT kitchen and there were some cheddar slices which i think they use for sandwich making group. So i had one of those.
And good for her, checking the OT kitchen. No one has thought of that so far!
And thus concludes my very exciting evening

Ahimsa 24-04-2023 11:27 PM

What do you mean?

Yay cheese! Clever Nurse checking OT kitchen.
Also sandwich making group sounds quite fun, at least better than other psych ward activities.

Bring on the weekend Ophiuchus!

long road 25-04-2023 01:02 AM

If it was in my power I'd give you a fast forward button! Alas time waits for no man but doesn't rush ahead either.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 09:56 AM

Morning guys!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:03 AM

It is!
I'm hoping i can get out for a walk today

It really is!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:17 AM

It does!
It rained pretty much all day yesterday

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 10:21 AM

Morning guys. I'm going for an ECG this morning so I will get a bit of sunshine.

I misread my watch this morning and thought I had overslept, turns out I'm up early.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:28 AM

Good luck with your ecg!

It is weird weather. Always is round this time of year

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 10:36 AM

I hope you get to go for a walk Cacoethes. Do you have any other plans?

Do you have any plans Zippit?

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:39 AM

Apparently i can if there's enough staff. Which is basically a no XD

No other plans
I was told yesterday I'd see the dietician either yesterday or today. But this ward is a shambles so i don't particularly trust that estimation!

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 10:53 AM

Staffing and organisation are a joke in MH services!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:56 AM

They definitely are!
Especially this ward, as they have both accidentally taken me off most meds and then also accidentally added a med IN THE SAME WEEK!!!
you'd think they'd be extra careful after the first time.
And i got no apology. My mum did though...
I'm making notes

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 10:59 AM

They did a similar thing to my sister, including physical meds.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 11:00 AM

Yeah my epilepsy meds were included!
Fuming.

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 11:03 AM

It's not just incompetent, it's dangerous.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 11:15 AM

It definitely is!
Will be complaining to the CQC and anyone else who will listen

one_step_closer 25-04-2023 11:33 AM

Morning everyone. Nice and sunny here but was a cold wind when I went out earlier. Hopefully it'll be a bit warmer when I leave for the gym group.

I hope your ECG is ok, Tamo. Will you be going for a treat afterwards?

I hope you get out for some fresh air, Beckie, and the dietitian does see you today.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 11:40 AM

Morning lindsay!
Hope gym group is OK

Thanks
At the moment i can't even get a drink, so am not hopeful for a walk!
She said to ask someone else. There is literally NO ONE about apart from the people in the office.

one_step_closer 25-04-2023 11:45 AM

Looks like they're just leaving the ward to run on it's own. Or maybe they want the patients to be in charge! Drink is important, be a pest.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 11:49 AM

I think the ward would run better if we were in charge...

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 12:30 PM

Rebel!

I hope you enjoy the gym group osc.

I've had the ECG just waiting to see the doctor now which could be a long wait but might not be.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 01:08 PM

Hope the dr doesn't take too long.

RLS is horrible!

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 01:31 PM

Have fun sorting a playlist :) I hope you can keep RLS at bay (restless leg syndrome right?)

The doc there's some small abnormalities so he's going to check with a specialist. He didn't sound worried.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 01:37 PM

Hearts can be weird.
Hope it's nothing serious.
I sometimes have a heart murmur, but not all the time. Lol

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 01:46 PM

I'm sure it's nothing serious, it's probably just added to his very long doctor-to-do-list.

not_so_insig 25-04-2023 01:51 PM

If it was life threatening then they would admit you to the hospital straight away. Try not to worry tamobhuuta but I get that's easier said than done.

long road 25-04-2023 02:23 PM

Afternoon Everyone.
I am finally awake. Kept waking up for a second and then falling back to sleep. Planning to head out in my garden to enjoy the sunshine in a little bit.

Did you ever get your drink Beckie?

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 02:33 PM

You're right insig. How's your day going?

Congratulations on getting up LR!

not_so_insig 25-04-2023 02:37 PM

I am very anxious atm but generally ok otherwise.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 02:54 PM

I got my drink from someone else.
3 hours later, the original person i asked said she was looking for me to get me a drink but i wasn't anywhere.
Where could i have possibly gone? XD

I'm hoping to get out for a walk today.
If not, garden.

*Facepalms* It's not like there are many places to go on a ward. Glad somebody got you drink!

I am in my garden now, managed to have a shower before heading out and am sitting here drinking a coffee and letting the sun dry my hair. I hope they let you outdoors at some point today.

I am less anxious now but had to deal with the meter man. I might see what is on a streaming service as I need the distraction. Or try for a shower. My cat is next to me so he's providing comfort.
