Cacoethes 31-03-2023 07:55 PM

Having a seizure is absolutely awful after a good run.
I went 4 years without one but then they started again. Was test ready for driving as well. Fuming.
It'll be a year on Tuesday though. You'd better believe I'll be on the phone to neuro asking for a letter for the DVLA XD

I hope you enjoy your game

long road 31-03-2023 11:13 PM

May you stay seizure free Beckie! 2 weeks is miles better than at the start of FND where I would have up to 10 in one day and regular lose the ability to speak
In fact 2 weeks is my second longest seizure free stint.
Breaking a stint does suck, though I imagine mine have a bit less of an impact than an epileptic one.

I am currently able to play and enjoying myself. Piloting a spacecraft to our possible doom.

Cacoethes 31-03-2023 11:14 PM

Thank you!
And you too! Sounds like things have improved a lot, try and hold on to that

Ooh that sounds exciting!

long road 31-03-2023 11:44 PM

Trying to hold onto the improvements it's easier when Iam feeling better mentally. I am sort of middling mentally this evening, feel a bit better now I am actually managing to do something.

It's very exciting. We just landed and found the body of a long fallen hero on the planet and now we have made contact with some enemy patrols.

Cacoethes 31-03-2023 11:49 PM

That's fair. Just do whatever you need to do to look after yourself.

That sounds awesome tbh

long road 01-04-2023 12:15 AM

Roleplaying is pretty awesome. With a good group it's proper escapism and cool stories. We just finished the session having found the ancient alien ruin we were looking for, with slumbering aliens inside!

Cacoethes 01-04-2023 11:31 AM

I played D&D online with some friends once and really enjoyed it!
People in my town are trying to set up something similar.

Morning people
I have a visit from my friend today. Really looking forward to it!
I never usually get visits in hospital.

tamobhuuta 01-04-2023 12:10 PM

Hi Cacoethes. I hope you have fun with your friend.

Cacoethes 01-04-2023 12:19 PM

Thank you :)

How are you today?

tamobhuuta 01-04-2023 01:16 PM

I am ok. Going to the Signed Mass at 1pm with my mum. Our friend R might be coming round for tea after but idk. My big sister was going to be coming over but is feeling unwell.

one_step_closer 01-04-2023 02:54 PM

Hi everyone.

I hope you enjoy your visit, Beckie. I know they can be really positive and uplift your day.

I hope you have a good day, Tamo whether or not your friend manages to come round for tea.

long road 01-04-2023 04:22 PM

I've been roleplaying for 12 years and been playing online since the pandemic. Online is good because we have reconnected with some friends who moved away so we wouldn't be able to play in person with them.

When I went to bed last night the pain spiked and couldn't get comfortable at all. So at around 3am I took my strong painkillers. And I only woke up at 2pm.This week has been really rough pain wise and it's getting me down a bit.

Hope mass was good Tamo..

And that your visit went well Beckie.

tamobhuuta 01-04-2023 04:54 PM

Mass was good but long because it's Palm Sunday (early)

Sorry you had a tough night long road.

How are you osc?

long road 01-04-2023 05:43 PM

That makes sense Tamo, I had forgotten it was Palm Sunday tomorrow. Did you get a palm cross?

I have heat packs and they are helping a bit with pain.

one_step_closer 01-04-2023 05:52 PM

I'm sorry your pain is getting you down, Jen. I can only imagine how horrible it must be. I hope you can keep doing the things you enjoy when you feel a bit better.

I'm glad Mass was good, Tamo. Did your friend come for tea?

I'm feeling really low and alone but just have to get on with it. I've done all my tasks for today.

tamobhuuta 01-04-2023 06:09 PM

He couldn't make it in the end.

Well done getting things done. Sorry you're feeling lonely though :(

one_step_closer 01-04-2023 06:12 PM

Thanks.

Have you been getting up to much?

tamobhuuta 01-04-2023 07:21 PM

Praying, reading, watching TV.

Ahimsa 01-04-2023 08:02 PM

Hey guys,

Just popping on quickly to let you know I"m okay!

- My work meeting was "okay" - some of it, my manager was just NOT getting, some of it she did.
- My primary care appointment was okay, I actually felt listened to and shes referred me for some proper support.
- My friend who's really struggling that I'm supporting is doing as okay as he can be.
- My car charger STILL doesn't work but the company is open 9-5, Monday to Friday, so when I'm working 7:30-5, I can't phone them. Luckily on Monday I'm working 12-9 so I can try then.
- My police officer in charge of my case is STILL less than useless. My ISVA is helpful though and I'm meeting up with her in a few weeks.
- Tomorrow is my grandads birthday, we were very close before he died, so it'll be a self care day and I"m going to dye my hair.
- Wednesday is THE BAD ANNIVERSARY so trying to have things in place to make it as okay as possible.
- Thursday night I'm going out with some friends to a jazz night. I bought a new dress to wear today :)

I hope everyone's okay! I'm just super busy (as you can tell!!) so haven't been around much.

tamobhuuta 01-04-2023 09:39 PM

Pleased to hear about the good stuff and I'm glad you're going to be looking after yourself.

tamobhuuta 02-04-2023 11:33 AM

Good morning my lovely people.

one_step_closer 02-04-2023 02:10 PM

Afternoon Tamo, how are you?

I'm glad some things are positive Ahimsa. Sorry for the hard times, keep looking after yourself.

tamobhuuta 02-04-2023 05:52 PM

I am good thanks osc. I went to my prayer group and I have Costa! How are you?

one_step_closer 02-04-2023 05:55 PM

I'm glad you're doing well. What did you get from Costa? (Not that I know anything about their drinks!)

I'm feeling pretty hopeless.

Ahimsa 02-04-2023 07:17 PM

I've not long woken up (it's 6:20pm!!)

I've just done my March invoices from my second job, and I'm going to get up, dye my hair, make my lunch for tomorrow and have a bath before work tonight.

tamobhuuta 02-04-2023 08:00 PM

I got a chai latte - spicey milk.

Sorry you're feeling so bad osc *hugs* if wanted.

Well done for fitting so much in Ahimsa.

Ooh that sounds yummy.

I'm gonna have to stay up late, to get everything done that I need to though.

long road 02-04-2023 08:49 PM

Om nom nom spicy milk.

Hope your work goes well tonight Ahimsa.

I hope you can find some hope OSC. How long until your psychiatrist appointment?

I woke up at 5am, and was awake for an hour, and then 1pm and was awake for an hour and then actually been awake since 5pm. Although I am resting again. Had a bad pain night last night and didn't get to sleep until 3am. Very fatigued day today but much less pain so I will take it.

Ahimsa 02-04-2023 09:39 PM

Ugh I’m 3 minutes into my quiz and I’ve already had ‘We’ll only play if you’re the prize sweetheart’

Gross!

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 10:52 AM

Morning people.

Ahimsa 03-04-2023 11:21 AM

Morning Tamo, how're you?

Ahimsa 03-04-2023 12:15 PM

I really want a bed day today. I spent all of yesterday asleep.

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 01:09 PM

I'm ok. Didn't get up in time for my hairwash before my blood test but I've had my test and shower now :) how are you?

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 01:10 PM

Look after yourself!

one_step_closer 03-04-2023 02:30 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Well done for eventually showering, Tamo, it's not a big deal getting up too late to wash it there and then if you get it done later anyway. What are you doing for the rest of your day?

You're at work now right, Ahimsa? I hope you're doing ok and can get some rest too. Did you phone about your car charger?

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 02:33 PM

Just my normal day, including watching doctors of course. What's your day looking like?

one_step_closer 03-04-2023 02:52 PM

Is Doctors on every day? Has it been running for a long time? I'm glad you have something you enjoy watching.

I've been to the chemist and put a washing on and hoovered and other small things. Got up later than I wanted to though. I usually get everything done anyway but I just want to get up earlier. Have my next book lined up but I'm not sure if I'll like it. It's nonfiction written by a storm chaser. I like watching things like that on TV.

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 03:16 PM

Well done. I hope you enjoy your book.

Doctors has been running since 2000. It used to be on Monday to Friday but now to Thursday.

long road 03-04-2023 05:24 PM

Good afternoon everyone,

I managed to have my first shower in a week this morning. And I managed to go outside and have coffee in the garden, bit later than my routine plan but I did it.

Pain is barely there which makes doing things so much easier.

Hope you can enjoy your book OSC.

How was today's Doctor's episode Tamo?

one_step_closer 03-04-2023 05:46 PM

Have you watched Doctors since the beginning, Tamo?

Hi Jen, very well done with what you've achieved. I hope your pain continues to feel milld. Are you doing anything with your evening?

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 05:47 PM

Well done long road, I'm glad the pain is better today.

It was a good episode, getting to know the new doctor.

long road 03-04-2023 05:48 PM

No real evening plans apart from helping make dinner we are probably having pizza and salad

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 05:49 PM

Ninja osc! I haven't watched it from the start but I have for a very long time, I can't remember how long.

one_step_closer 03-04-2023 05:51 PM

Whoever writes it must have a good imagination to keep it going for so long!

Do you make pizza from scratch, Jen?

Zurg 03-04-2023 06:24 PM

Evening all :)

I just had dinner. Made veggie lasagne and garlic bread. Yum. I was hungry. Didn't prioritise to eat properly today.

Findus has made a bunny cave underneath my bed, behind the bedrollers that he persistently pushed out of the Way XD
He has been so happy in his new “home” that he has only just now returned to the livingroom. He’s a good bun bun boy!!! <3
(Yes, i missed him. Tried bribing him with all sorts of bunny snacks to come join us in here. He's a stubborn little sod sometimes!!!)

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 06:25 PM

I think the writers have changed a lot, as have the characters!

one_step_closer 03-04-2023 07:21 PM

Hi Kat, that sounds like a really nice dinner. Aww, it's good when pets find comfy places to snooze etc but it's better when they're with you.

Maybe you'll get to write an episode of Doctors one day, Tamo.

Zurg 03-04-2023 07:33 PM

Lindsay, if i had my way, i’d be hugging mr.bun all day long. And he'd sleep in my bed. But he's not that kind of bunny, apparently ;)
He lets me cuddle him while he eats. And sometimes just because he fancies it. But more than that seems to be crossing his boundaries for affection XD

I gave my giant snail a bath today. She came almost all the way out of her shell. I love her cute spikey eyes. Yes, i am a bit weird.
My friends are roughly split into two groups about snailzilla. Either they squirm at the sight of her and Think she's yucky and repulsive. Or they find her just as cool as i do

one_step_closer 03-04-2023 07:41 PM

I'm lucky Crookshanks is very affectionate and I too would like him to sleep in my bed but I can't because he just comes into my bedroom and trashes everything and keeps me awake. So I have to close my bedroom door and he sleeps on his numerous beds, especially the one outside my bedroom.

Do giant snails need/like baths? I don't know how I feel about giant snails.

tamobhuuta 03-04-2023 08:23 PM

A giant snail would be cool to look at but ew to touch.

I would love to write an episode!
