I wanted to buy tights that actually fit but they've run out online :(
|
My bins are out.
Will they be back in stock or can you try somewhere else, Tamo? |
I feel like I’m missing out, my bin night is tomorrow (for Friday)
|
You're still a part of RYL bedding change day if you always change your bedding on Sundays. We won't let you miss out. You could of course write to your local council asking them to change the bin day.
|
I was meant to do the bedding on Sunday but I rang out of time and haven’t done it yet. I’m at work still for 3 more hours so won’t be tonight!
|
The intention was there! How's work going?
|

Well done for getting out OSC sorry it was a boring circuit thingy. My bins get collected on Fridays as well as Ahimsa you are not alone! |
I'm glad you slept if that's what your body needs. Sorry to hear you're in a bit more pain. I hope you can do your roleplaying and enjoy it.
|
I will check the website for tights again tomorrow.
|
I am considering taking more pain meds and trying to get back to sleep. Feeling super rough. But going to try and stay up until after dinner.
|
Do whatever is best for your body x
|
Thanks Tamo. I think I need to eat and dinner will be ready in 5 minutes. But then painkillers and more sleep I think.
Hope your tights are in stock tomorrow. Finding the right tights can be a mission and they can be really uncomfortable if they aren't right |
Which website are you looking at for tights?
I emailed my manager asking for the questions ahead of tomorrow so I can prepare in case words are hard. I also have my first primary care team meeting tomorrow straight before my managers meeting. It’s been a busy day, I’ve spent quite a bit of time with my friend im supporting as a MHFA too. But then he made me jump by accident and I don’t know how much to share with him as to why I freaked out! I’ve had a palava with my car charger which was fitted yesterday and should work straight away but doesn’t, so when I finish I need to go sit in a supermarket car park to charge it. Major first world problem!! How is everyone? |
I usually get my tights from M&S, they're not too expensive and good quality.
|
Am I first in this morning?
|
You are. I've just had a phone call with the primary care team, phoned the car charger company and I"m just getting ready for work.
How're you doing? |
Well done :) can I ask what your job is?
I'm having a cup of tea with Dad and sister. I'm going to pop over the road to buy Easter chocolates for my parents later. |
Afternoon everyone, I hope your days are going well.
I hope everything at work goes well, Ahimsa. Sounds nice, Tamo. I'd be tempted to get some Easter chocolates for myself too though! I've got an appointment for Crookshanks at the vet at 3.30pm and I'm a bit worried I won't be able to get a taxi there and back because they might be doing the school runs. I should have asked what other appointments were available but I hate being on the phone so just agreed. |
Is Crookshanks OK? Good luck with the travel.
The shop didn't have what I was looking for, I will have to go to a proper shop next week. |
Thanks. Yeah, he's just going for his annual booster and check up.
What are you doing with the rest of your day? |
*waves*
Hi everyone, slow start for me today. Might try and hang out on the sofa rather than in bed in a little bit. The show I was watching Australian Survivor finished earlier in the week though so I am a little sad I haven't got any more of that to watch until next year. |
I watched doctors. They killed off a main character! Made me cry a little bit!
I hope the move to the sofa goes well long road. How are you getting on osc? |

I’m a veterinary receptionist in a 24 hours emergency hospital. So I’m the one you phone and say ‘this is happening what do I do’ and I advise you or get an appointment booked and know how urgent things are. I do everything from booking vaccinations to dealing with animals hit by cars or in labour. I know when you say ‘my dog is being sick’ I ask the right questions to know whether it’s a tummy bug or a foreign body requiring surgery. |
Sad times to lose a main character, was it a suitably dramatic death?
Sofa move has yet to happen. But might try again now though. Sounds a high stress job Ahimsa. Don't forget tonight is our bin night! |
Cool job Ahimsa!
She was already dead when her husband found her, he didn't believe it when the paramedics told him. |
That's sad. I used to watch doctors years ago but haven't seen it since around 2015.
I made it to the sofa. Watching an old episode of time tem and archaeology show. |
With Tony Robinson?
|
Well done for making it to the sofa, Jen. I hope you're enjoying your TV. A year is a long time to wait for a new series of a show you enjoy.
I hope you still enjoy Doctors without the character in it, Tamo. You must be very smart, Ahimsa. Crookshanks didn't get to the vet because every single taxi was on the school run and one wouldn't be available for over an hour. You'd think they'd at least keep a couple of taxis for general use. |
That's annoying osc :(
It would take a lot to stop me enjoying doctors! |
Yes with Tony Robinson. I used to watch it with my Dad growing up and this is one of the later series I didn't watch because I was at uni when it was on. I find it very relaxing because of it association with Sunday evenings at home with my family. And I enjoy the history. They have actually started making new episodes funded by patreon with some of the old faces and there are three digs available on you tube. Not quite the same though.
It's is a long time to wait for new Australian Survivor but it was very good while it lasted. Was 24 episodes split over 9 weeks. That does seem a bit ridiculous with the taxis, is the vet going to charge you for not attending the appointment? |
They didn't say anything about charging me when I rearranged the appointment so I hope not.
I'm glad you have something you can watch that helps you feel relaxed, Jen. Do you watch any other TV, Tamo? |
I'm sorry, Lindsay :( it is stressful enough arranging an appointment, never mind having to cancel it. I send a virtual hug *hugs*
I don't handle it well either when characters in Series die. And movies in which either kids or animals are killed is a no-go for me!!!! Crying is okay though. Just shows you're an empathetic person Tamo :) I hope you can have some dinner to perk you up, Jen. Even when needing rest, it quickly becomes miserable staying in bed. Ahimsa, you're an animal hero :D My bun-bun is sending you a paw high-five :) I'm a little bit unstable on here atm. I don't sleep well and it's beginning to make me lose my **** a little bit. My restless legs are keeping me awake night and day right now. Some nights, in sheer desperation, i contemplate taking too many prn's to knock me out. I need some cigarettes. And coffee. Lots of coffee!!!! |
*hugs back*
That sounds awful, Kat. I'm so sorry you're going through that. Is there no treatment for your restless legs? I was put on that med whatever it's called that helps with the movements that can be a side effect of antipsychotics. I really hope that things improve soon. |
They gave me prescription for a parkinson med but i tried that same med several years ago and had to quit taking it before even a week had passed. It made me insanely dizzy.
The restless legs started a year ago when i stopped taking aripiprazole. I spent nearly 20 years on anti psychotic medication so i did expect some difficulties after stopping them. I hope it'll decrease a bit over time. I have prn for when it gets really bad but even that is useless some nights. |
Have ordered Chinese for dinner as I don't have energy to cook and neither does my partner. It should be here soon. Then after dinner think I will retreat back to bed as I am pretty fatigued and a bit dizzy and in pain.
Restless legs sound super frustrating, I have muscle spasms in my legs sometimes that keep me awake know it's not the same but I get the frustration of your nervous system misbehaving. Have you tried a reasonable amount of your prn? Sounds like you need it right now. |
The prn are benzo's, Jen. They actually printed on the label how many times each week i am allowed to use them XD
We have an agreement that every 6 months i can have my prescription renewed. They never, ever give these meds out unless they have absolutely no alternatives. There's about 20-25 pills in each box, depending on the brand. A lot of people in Denmark are addicted to these pills and it has been impossible to wean them off. They are extremely careful with not creating any more addicts so they usually only provide them as prn when you’re inpatient. But i detest prn, no matter the kind. So not in too great danger of becoming addicted, i Think….. |
Dang, i forgot;
I approve of chinese :P Mmmmm fried noodles :D |

I sent him down to animal A&E, he had an anti sickness injection and was told if there's no improvement by midnight, come straight back. Now I could have said "try a bland diet for a few days and I'll book you in for an appointment over the weekend" - but it ended up having emergency surgery in the early hours of this morning to remove a foreign body which had almost caused a GDV from the stomach trying to digest it (a GDV is something that can happen in large dogs, where their stomach can twist and then in the twisted point, the tissue can die) If I'd done what the owner wanted, an appointment today - that dog most likely wouldn't have made it. |

That's fair with the prn Zurg. I am fairly similar with my strong painkillers. They are opiates so again doctors aren't keen to hand them out due to addiction. Although I think benzos are slightly harder to get off doctors.
I had sweet and sour chicken with pineapple and egg fried rice plus some veggie spring rolls. I forgot how sweet Chinese sweet and sour is though and couldn't finish it, will go back to chicken with ginger and spring onion next time! Sorry for late reply my phone was on charge and then I had a seizure. |
Quote:
How are you feeling after your seizure? Are you okay? |
I am alright my seizures are non epileptic so not dangerous. They just suck to experience and leave me a bit sore, groggy and out of it afterwards. Trying to get some sleep and failing sometimes I get insomnia after a dissociative seizure.
|
Good morning everyone.
I'm glad your seizures aren't dangerous long road, but sounds like you should look after yourself today :) |
Morning!
I am still tucked up in bed taking things easy. Do feel better pain wise this morning though. How is your day going Tamo? |
I am ok. Nothing planned for the day and sadly no doctors on the telly. I'm going to try reading. If not, there's a really good series on BBC iplayer about people racing across South America which I'm enjoying.
|
Race across the world? I watched the first 2 seasons including the South America one and really enjoyed them. Not watched season 4 racing across Canada yet though.
|
Yes, that's the one!
|
Afternoon everyone.
I'm sorry you had a seizure, Jen. You hadn't had one in a little while, am I right? Taking things easy sounds like a good plan. I'm glad you feel better pain wise. How are you Ahimsa? Reading and TV sound like good plans, Tamo. I hope you enjoy them. I've been to the chemist as usual. Things outside made my mood lower but I have no choice to go out or not on these occasions because I pick up my meds Monday-Saturday. Washed my hair and did a quick hoover. |
Well done osc. :)
My day has been ok, I managed to read a tiny bit but mostly been praying as usual and watching TV. I did put some washing on too. |
It had been just over 2 weeks since I had a seizure. It hit pretty hard. Today I was up for a few hours then had a 3 hour nap. Going to have dinner, meditate and then try roleplaying with my friends. First time we have had a session for our Friday game in a month due to various members being busy.
