Cacoethes 07-02-2023 12:40 PM

Yeah.
But tbh, even if I did know the time, I'm not going to change my plans! So ultimately it doesn't matter. Because I'll be out when I'm out!
There's no safe place option but I've redirected to my neighbour if one of them is in. It should fit through the letterbox but sometimes they won't do that, depending on instructions from the company.

Fair enough!

Oh no! Poor crookshanks

not_so_insig 07-02-2023 02:20 PM

Afternoon all.

tamobhuuta 07-02-2023 02:45 PM

Sorry Crookshanks is poorly :(

I think doctors started in 2000

not_so_insig 07-02-2023 02:51 PM

Doctors started on 26 March 2000 so just over a month to it's 23rd birthday.

long road 07-02-2023 02:58 PM

Hey everyone, I did ok at start of today woke up, had a shower and got outside for a bit. But my mood is really going downhill now. Not sure what to do about it am on sofa, with a blanket, watching TV trying to convince myself I am ok.

not_so_insig 07-02-2023 03:02 PM

Sorry you're feeling rough Jen. I would suggest a bath but I don't want to sound like the crisis team :-P

long road 07-02-2023 03:23 PM

:p I am considering a nap, I think it might help me reset

Cacoethes 07-02-2023 03:46 PM

I have my parcel.
Think I need a lie down after that excitement :tongue2:

Nap if you need to jen!

tamobhuuta 07-02-2023 04:50 PM

I find lying down with an audiobook or music helps long road.

one_step_closer 07-02-2023 05:34 PM

The Easter eggs that arrived are actually small ones, false advertising.

I hope you're looking after yourself, Jen.

tamobhuuta 07-02-2023 05:42 PM

How frustrating osc!

one_step_closer 07-02-2023 05:51 PM

It just means they were a waste of money, but I'm glad they're small so there's less to eat.

How is your day going, Tamo?

one_step_closer 07-02-2023 05:57 PM

I have to get up and pee but Crookshanks is siting on my lap.

long road 07-02-2023 06:28 PM

Hey everyone thanks for supportiveness.

I had a nap. Lay down listening to a podcast and drifted off. Woken up feeling quite groggy and with a bit of a headache so probably going to stay in bed though. Definitely needed the rest.

Hope Crookshanks has moved by now OSC!

one_step_closer 07-02-2023 06:34 PM

Well done for doing what you need to do.

Yes, he got up when it was his dinner time!

long road 07-02-2023 06:45 PM

Dinner time is a great motivator! Glad you have been set free

one_step_closer 07-02-2023 06:49 PM

He's back on my lap now. He spends a lot of time there!

Are you just resting or doing something in bed?

long road 07-02-2023 06:57 PM

Cat cuddles are nice, being stuck not able to pee is not nice so that's what I meant by the freedom.

Mostly just resting. I have read a couple of news articles. Considering seeing if there is anything I feel like watching on you tube.

one_step_closer 07-02-2023 06:59 PM

Do you have channels that you follow on YouTube?

I hope you have a peaceful evening and sleep well tonight.

I'm just heading offline to read then watch TV.

long road 07-02-2023 07:01 PM

Yeah I subscribe to a few different channels. Mainly a mix of history ones, travel ones and music.

I hope you have a good evening reading and watching TV.

Cacoethes 07-02-2023 07:23 PM

Amazon can be tricky with sizing!
I always read reviews, that's usually a good indicator!

Zurg 07-02-2023 07:40 PM

If i had ordered some normal sized Easter eggs and they turned out to be to the small-ish side, i Think i'd have gone grumpy and eaten all of them in one go to try to cheer myself up…
I'll just see myself out now ;)

Cacoethes 07-02-2023 08:07 PM

Haha!
Solid plan

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 07:59 AM

Morning everyone!

tamobhuuta 08-02-2023 11:08 AM

Morning :) how are you? I'm doing ok at this daily shower thing!

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 11:39 AM

Morning!

I'm ok. In london. Being emotional support for my friends appointment

tamobhuuta 08-02-2023 12:10 PM

That's kind. Is it going OK?
My godmother is coming round later.

long road 08-02-2023 01:58 PM

Good work on daily shower thing Tamo. Routines are hard work but they can pay off. Are you finding the showers helpful?

Hope your friends appointment goes well Beckie. Lovely of you to be there for them. I have had friends do it for me before and it meant a lot.

I am doing well on getting up in the morning and getting outside to my garden before lunch. This is fifth day in a row for me. Both proud and kind of surprised I am managing it!

Back inside now and on my sofs watching more numb3rs, my crime TV show from 2000's where they use maths almost like it's a magic power.

tamobhuuta 08-02-2023 02:20 PM

Not helpful really, but it makes people around me happy!

Well done long Road.

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 02:35 PM

Yes it was fine.
We went to the horror show (a museum exhibit thing) near southbank afterwards. Was very trippy and weird!
Waiting for train home now. We finally managed to exchange birthday presents! (Our birthdays were October!) Because we're both so busy all the time.

Regular showering is good!

Well done for managing to get up and do gardening jen!

Ugh, maths!

one_step_closer 08-02-2023 03:22 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Well done with having a shower, Tamo. I know it can be hard for you, you're doing so well. I hope you enjoy seeing your godmother.

You're a good friend, Beckie. I'm glad you also finally managed to exchange birthday gifts! What are you doing when you get home?

Well done, Jen. You're doing brilliantly. I hope it's helping you.

not_so_insig 08-02-2023 03:54 PM

Hello all. I have been wild swimming. The water was 5 degrees (measured it with a thermometer). But managed it. I had a coffee and am watching Sort Your Life Out with Stacey Solomon.

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 04:09 PM

I've just got home
Put something in the oven for lunch, going out later for my work friend's leaving drinks.
I have an oodie now! It's SO warm! And alcohol themed XD

Any plans for today lindsay? (Lindsay autocorrected to linseed. Lol)

long road 08-02-2023 04:13 PM

Whether the shower helps you or not Tamo, sticking to it is still something to be proud of. Hope you have had a good time with your godmother.

As an engineer I am quite fond of maths, at least when applied to practical stuff. Not that I can follow most of the maths in Numb3rs, and I am not entirely sure it's legit maths, just a fun spin on the standard crime show format.

Not been actually gardening apart from a little bit 1 of the 5 days. Just sitting outside in my garden on my garden furniture. But still an achievement as I have regularly gone days or even weeks without going outside the last year or two. Small steps and all that.

I think getting outside is helping regulate my body clock and it feels good to achieve something.

long road 08-02-2023 04:17 PM

Brrr... Dawn. Sounds far to cold for me but hope you enjoyed yourself. I have heard wild swimming can have some good mental health benefits.

Oodies look so cosy Beckie I am jealous!

not_so_insig 08-02-2023 04:22 PM

Yes I enjoyed myself Jen. It definitely has some good mh benefits as I feel the difference the next day :-D

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 04:26 PM

Maths makes me panic and I avoid it as much as possible! I wish I was good at it. But am beyond terrible.
Jenna tried to tutor me once, years ago!

It is very cosy! And will hopefully help with heating bills!

tamobhuuta 08-02-2023 04:38 PM

I have two oodies :)

I had a good chat with my godmother. Now having a cup of tea. And waiting for my CPN to call.

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 04:43 PM

Nice!
I'd never be able to afford one myself so it's a lovely and useful present to get!

Sounds good!
Hope your cpn calls soon. Awful waiting for phone calls

Zurg 08-02-2023 05:18 PM

Hi all :)

I'd love to go winter bathing (as we call it in Denmark). It's actually something they are trying out as treatment supplement for people with depression here. It shows promising results already.

Sometimes i wish i had a garden to sit in, like you Jen. But then i remember back when i actually did have a small garden and i absolutely hated doing garden work XD the grass needs mowing all the bloody time. And weeding!! And cutting down trees and blah, blah, blah… nope!!! Not a fan!!
Think i'll stick to my balcony!!!

Bun bun just attempted to steal my slipper!!!

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 05:38 PM

My family live by a river that they used to go to most days in summer to swim and kayak.
There's a little quiet part that no one goes to.

I hate gardening. Don't even like mowing the lawn but my neighbour does it. Didn't ask her to, she just does. Not complaining!

Haha! The adventures of findus!

long road 08-02-2023 05:48 PM

Maths had the opposite effect on me Beckie I used to find solving equations quite relaxing. I am not as good as Jenna at maths but I have always quite enjoyed it, some parts more than others of course.

am lucky that I have a partner who takes care of the mowing. I do the flowers, he does the grass.

Findus strikes again!

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 05:51 PM

Counting out change is about as mathsy as it gets for me!

long road 08-02-2023 05:53 PM

That's all the maths you need day to day.

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 05:56 PM

Indeed!
Though i applied for a college course (fitness instructing, hoping to go onto PT) and apparently you need maths for that. For calculating various things relating to nutrition apparently. But I don't think it's overly mathsy. I managed my level 2 functional skills with no issues so I can do it when I really try!

one_step_closer 08-02-2023 05:57 PM

I'm too much a wimp to go wild swimming. Plus I can't swim. I'm glad you find it helpful, Dawn. How often do you do it? I recently read a fiction book that involved wild swimming.

Are you going to wear your Oodie to the leaving drinks, Beckie?

I'm glad you had a good chat with your godmother, Tamo. I hope your CPN gets in touch soon.

Kat, you need to learn that nothing is yours, it all belongs to Findus.

I hate maths too. I got 13% in my Higher maths prelim at school so dropped out of maths.

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 06:05 PM

Honestly I'm tempted! XD
Don't want to take it off!
The oodie is alcohol themed so maybe I can get away with it.....:tongue2:

Apart from functional skills, I have no qualifications.
I quit my health sciences degree because i couldn't cope with the maths.

one_step_closer 08-02-2023 06:07 PM

I dare you to wear it! It will be nice to get into when you come home. I hope you have a nice time.

Zurg 08-02-2023 06:14 PM

True Lindsay. I should just surrender and leave all my belongings to Findus' disposition XD I'm legit sure he would do wonderful things for the world if he had access to my bank account!!!

I love maths!!! I had a teacher in 2009, when i tried doing my level A maths again (just to see if i was able to follow a course), who very keenly tried to nugde me into going back to uni. To study; MATHS!!!!
Which was actually very kind of him but i'm quite sure it would end almost just as disastrous as when i attempted uni the first time and did nano science…

Cacoethes 08-02-2023 06:31 PM

I don't think we have a dress code but I doubt boss would be happy if I walked in wearing it! XD

Nano science sounds awesome tbh.
I love science, but the maths ruins it!
