It's one of the things we have specifically been saying we hope the new big boss DOESN'T change! And he has....

my office has no dress code and I am sure I could literally come in in sweatpants and nobody would give a **** haha

There's a properly olde worlde cinema in my town, the (generally teenage) ushers wear/wore shirts and bow ties. My friend applied to work there when we were at school but the owner refused to employ girls because he 'only had uniform for boys'. He doesn't get away with that any more :')

Tbh, I would accept formal vibes from an establishment where you have to call everyone Mr X and Miss Y!! I appreciate that's just a German thing but to me it's sooooo odd.

well - name tags were last name only and some of the managers called us by last name but we did call each other by first name/nicknames haha
and I have intel that says management is now calling everyone as well as being addressed by first name as they wanted a more informal work culture apparently

My workplace is reeeaally not formal.
We show affection by light hearted bullying, it's likely you'll have fruit or ice chucked at you at some point during the shift and if you fall over, the cctv footage will 100% end up on the group chat and possibly the work tiktok.....

Oh and the old general manager (big boss) used to come down in shorts and crocs...

My wee Master Disaster has been checked and cuddled by the vet. He is indeed in tip top bunny shape. They Think he just needs a bit of time to come back to his usual self. I am a happy bun mum :)
Hopefully, the next time we go to the vet it'll just be for a nail trimming

My day has gone quickly. Got everything done though except go to Tesco or Aldi which I really need to do because my shopping list is getting big.

What was the guinea pig doing in the news? I googled it and apparently some got stolen in Kent.

Because of the financial crisis, a lot of people are dumping their pets outside or leaving them at shelters because they can't afford them :(

I did have a nice time!
Had to get some new headphones though because the ones i bought yesterday are crap. The battery was supposedly full when i left the house but after only an hour of using them, they were dead!
And then the shop worker must have forgotten to take off the security tag on my new headphones because I've been setting off every single security alarm in every single shop!

It's incredibly sad that people are having to give up their pets. It's happening in this country too, Zurg. And has been since people went a bit mad and got pets during COVID lockdowns and then realised they couldn't look after them when they went back to work. There's no reason to just abandon them though. Maybe charities and shelters are full and can't take them in? Everywhere is stretched and understaffed at the moment...

It is a very sad situation.
The rescue i got my boys from had 200 guinea pigs!
