Cacoethes 31-07-2022 12:11 PM

I'm ok thanks
Home now
Mum drove me in the porsche!

How are you?

one_step_closer 31-07-2022 02:18 PM

Afternoon everyone. How are your days going?

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 02:24 PM

Hey lindsay

I'm just watching random tv

How about you?

one_step_closer 31-07-2022 02:26 PM

What's on now? I'm trying my best not to sneeze on my laptop. Yuck! Hayfever is being annoying. I'm going to try and read in a bit.

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 02:44 PM

Decided to re watch Handmaid's tale.

Ah that's annoying!
Do any anti histamines help?

tamobhuuta 31-07-2022 04:13 PM

I'm on my way home from my grandmother's, listening to fun music.

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 04:15 PM

Did you have a nice time?

one_step_closer 31-07-2022 04:47 PM

I've never watched Handmaids Tale. I hope you're enjoying it.

I'm on prescribed antihistamines all year round because of various allergies but they don't seem to help. Well, if they are helping I'd hate to think of how I'd be without them.

Fun music! How was your day, Tamo?

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 04:51 PM

I am thanks

Ah that's annoying
I've never had hayfever but it sounds awful!

one_step_closer 31-07-2022 04:53 PM

It's hard to explain what hay fever is like because the symptoms look a bit like a cold but it feels different to a cold. It spoils the summer.

Do you like the summer when it's not too hot?

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 05:01 PM

Yeah i think so.
It's nice not to have to wrap up in a million layers. And with the gas price thing. Not looking forward to having my heating on this year.

tamobhuuta 31-07-2022 05:21 PM

Yeah i had a good time.
I rarely get hay-fever but it sucks.

not_so_insig 31-07-2022 05:25 PM

Hello all. I am wearing a Bodger and Badger tshirt today.

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 05:28 PM

Good

Jasmine said she had hay fever last year.
Mum has a big garden FULL of brightly coloured flowers/shrubs/plants and she really suffered. But seems ok this year.

Used to love bodger and badger.

not_so_insig 31-07-2022 05:31 PM

So did I Beckie hence the tshirt.

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 05:40 PM

Everybody knows, badger loves MASHED POTATOES

not_so_insig 31-07-2022 05:41 PM

I have just watched the theme tune on YouTube.

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 06:00 PM

Good times

nonperson 31-07-2022 07:29 PM

I think I must be the only person who can't stand Bodger and Badger...

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 07:43 PM

No way!

I was really young when it was popular.
Under 5 years old.
Google says it started in 1989 and i was born in 1991

nonperson 31-07-2022 07:46 PM

For some reason I thought it was around towards the end of my childhood and that I was maybe too old to appreciate it. I would have been the right age then I guess!

Cacoethes 31-07-2022 07:55 PM

Each to their own!
We never got to watch the chuckle brothers when we were kids because mum HATED it!

nonperson 31-07-2022 08:19 PM

You didn't miss much =P

Cacoethes 01-08-2022 08:19 AM

Morning everyone!

one_step_closer 01-08-2022 01:58 PM

Once I was listening to some politician talking on TV and he said "everybody knows..." and my brain filled it with "badger loves mashed potatoes."

Hi Beckie, how are things going?

How is everyone else?

Cacoethes 01-08-2022 02:33 PM

I'd do the same!

Things are meh.
But work is distracting. Just popped out for 5 mins

How are you?

tamobhuuta 01-08-2022 02:53 PM

Hello :) I've had a busy day. Shower, visit from a friend and sorting out meds for the week. I'm glad work is a distraction Cacoethes. How are you osc?

not_so_insig 01-08-2022 04:50 PM

Afternoon all. My dvd has finally arrived today. It's come from Australia and is of a British programme. Sadly it's not available as a British dvd hence why I had to buy it from Australia.

one_step_closer 01-08-2022 04:52 PM

I hope work can be a good place for you, Beckie. When do you finish?

Are you going to take the rest of your day easy, Tamo?

I'm feeling like I need to talk to someone but there's no one and I might not have the words.

What is a British DVD not available in Britain, Dawn?

tamobhuuta 01-08-2022 05:36 PM

Yeah, I'm going to try reading.

Maybe try one of the boards osc? But I know they can be slow.

Deborrah 01-08-2022 05:43 PM

Hi everybody!
It's been a while since I've been here... managed to fix my laptop! How are you guys?

not_so_insig 01-08-2022 06:01 PM

It's Poppy Shakespeare Lindsay. According to a really old thread here it was shown on Channel 4 in 2008. It's a mh drama starring Anna Maxwell Martin.

Sometimes British programmes are available as foreign dvds but not in the UK for some reason. I have Dangerfield, The Moon Stallion, The Famous Five and The Worst Witch (1990s series not the remake) as foreign dvds. Despite them all being British programmes every single series wasn't released over here for some reason.

Cacoethes 01-08-2022 06:30 PM

Hey guys

not_so_insig 01-08-2022 07:37 PM

Hello Beckie hope work went ok for you.

not_so_insig 01-08-2022 07:44 PM

I just had a very disappointing tea. I just didn't enjoy it. I was the one who cooked it so I can't blame the chef.

Cacoethes 01-08-2022 07:52 PM

Typical Monday really
Apart from a mental health escapee who turned up for a few drinks. That was a bit awks

Ah that's always so disappointing dawn

not_so_insig 01-08-2022 08:47 PM

Yes that sounds totally awks Beckie.

Cacoethes 02-08-2022 08:03 AM

Morning everyone

not_so_insig 02-08-2022 10:42 AM

Morning all. I had a bad night's sleep. Then the postman woke me up.

I have tesco coming today and evri. Both at the same time. Though I am hoping that evri comes first. I am disappointed at tesco because my veggie burgers that I ordered isn't available and they didn't substitute it. I am out on Thursday so might see if the co op have veggie burgers or if not beef burgers.

one_step_closer 02-08-2022 02:02 PM

Afternoon everyone, I hope your days are going ok.

Asda tried to give me hamster food instead of wild bird seeds as a substitution. I don't know if they actually use their brain. I hope you can get the burgers you want elsewhere, Dawn.

My Asda delivery was yesterday but I used the Asda delivery excuse today to get out of going to the gym group because I couldn't get out of bed. My getting up pattern is getting worse. If I could even just get up early on the two group days that would be a start.

not_so_insig 02-08-2022 03:27 PM

I have had my tesco shopping order. Having a rest between putting everything away. It's quite warm here.

Evri came about 10 minutes before the tesco man so it wasn't too bad. My evri package came from the USA and was well packaged so luckily no damage.

not_so_insig 02-08-2022 03:36 PM

Also I hope that you can find a solution for getting up Lindsay. I cant help you there.

tamobhuuta 02-08-2022 03:49 PM

The weather can't decide here.

not_so_insig 02-08-2022 04:01 PM

I am boiling but then again I have been putting my tesco shopping away. Nearly finished.

one_step_closer 02-08-2022 04:46 PM

Thanks Dawn. I'm glad you got your package from the USA with no damage. Did you have a lot to put away from your Tesco delivery? Did you get anything nice?

What's the weather been doing, Tamo?

It's warm and breezy here but I wore a jacket when I went out because somewhere said it was going to rain and it was cloudy but I don't think it's rained yet.

Cacoethes 02-08-2022 06:31 PM

Hi everyone!

Been very windy today

not_so_insig 02-08-2022 06:43 PM

Yes Lindsay I had a lot. I had a lot of veg as I am planning to do a whole chicken in my air fryer. I joined a Facebook group specifically for my air fryer and a lot of people are doing whole chicken in theirs. Normally when I do a whole chicken I shove it in my slow cooker so be interesting to see the difference taste wise. So I am doing a roast dinner in my air fryer. I even have gravy.

not_so_insig 02-08-2022 06:45 PM

Also I have raspberry mini rolls. Yum!

tamobhuuta 02-08-2022 09:16 PM

I had mint mini Swiss rolls from the freezer. They were OK but not as good as they sound.

Bits of sunshine, bits of cloud.

Cacoethes 03-08-2022 07:42 AM
