People keep knocking on my door......

Aubergine 29-04-2018 01:55 PM

Oh! What people?

nonperson 29-04-2018 01:56 PM

Plumbers from the Park so I'm guessing there's a problem somewhere that they need to speak to me about...

Pomegranate 29-04-2018 02:00 PM

Hope you manage to get out and get your coat Lillie. Prob best to get it today before it rains tomorrow!

Hope you can get some chill time Aubergine.

Hope you feel better after some down time NP.

My friends coming a bit early to get me. They only live in the town over but I get in really well with their kids too and not seen them for a week or so. Might even get free dinner :-p

Aubergine 29-04-2018 02:05 PM

That sounds lovely, Emma. :)

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 02:37 PM

Hello everyone :)

Aubergine 29-04-2018 02:40 PM

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 02:41 PM

Ok I suppose!
Woke up and was like NOPE and went back to bed
So just got up! :p

not_so_insig 29-04-2018 02:59 PM

Hey page 2000!

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 03:31 PM

Wow!!!

Buttons. 29-04-2018 06:07 PM

hope everyone is well :) I just finished a very nice cuppasoup and kept it down so that's a winner :) plus dog has had her walk and dinner. although she did manage to jump my front gate (HOW??) and got three streets away before I caught her the other day ended up reasuring parent and child oh no lovely tempermant fine with children just got away from me!

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 06:10 PM

Glad you manged to keep it down Buttons :)
Naughty doggo!

Buttons. 29-04-2018 06:19 PM

Thanks :) oh I was so pissed off because obviously the man whose garden she took root in and had a child didn't know she's actually soft as your pocket and great with children, he just saw a bloody German Shepherd (btw can anyone tell me the difference between German Shepherd and Alsation-I didn't think was any difference but according to insurance company there is -_-)

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 06:21 PM

Oh dear!
I guess they can be pretty intimidating.
I didn't think there was a difference either!!

Buttons. 29-04-2018 06:38 PM

Yeah most people who know her know how calm and friendly she is but if you don't know... yeah still surprised about the fact there's a difference!

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 06:45 PM

So what is the difference?

Buttons. 29-04-2018 06:48 PM

That's what I was asking you :P I still don't know and google has failed me!

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 06:52 PM

I got this: ' So, the breed was renamed to Alsatian, after the French-German border city of Alsace. ... There is a no difference between German Shepherd and Alsatian dogs. German Shepherd was used by both America and British sides . The British didn't want to call their dogs German, so they decide to call Alsatian to their dog.'

So there actually is no difference!

chinahorse 29-04-2018 06:53 PM

I've read some sites and they all day yhe same thing as what beckie has quoted!!

Buttons. 29-04-2018 07:01 PM

Cool. I'll have to explain that to insurance :P

nonperson 29-04-2018 07:11 PM

The official name is actually German Shepherd, or German Shepherd Dog (GSD). Insurance companies shouldn't have Alsatian on their system at all really. I met a few people when I was going dog training with mine who were adamant that they are different dogs!

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 07:12 PM

Very strange!!

nonperson 29-04-2018 07:14 PM

People are strange.

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 07:16 PM

They are indeed!!

chinahorse 29-04-2018 07:16 PM

Just had a disaster of a dinner :(

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 07:19 PM

Oh no!
What was it?

chinahorse 29-04-2018 07:22 PM

A morrocon pie which is weird even if cooked properly but I decided to eat it up. So it looked cooked the top puffed up nicely only for the middle to still be frozen but I couldn't put it back in the oven as my veg was cooked so I microwaved it and it was even more awful and made the top soggy and what a fail!!

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 07:24 PM

Eek! That does sound like a bit of a disaster!

chinahorse 29-04-2018 07:28 PM

It was so unsatisaying! !

What're you having for tea?

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 07:29 PM

I just had a fried egg sandwich.
Not that hungry

chinahorse 29-04-2018 07:31 PM

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 07:33 PM

Haters gonna hate

Buttons. 29-04-2018 07:46 PM

Does sound a bit of a disaster Lillie. Beckie fried egg butty <3 provided there's salt involved.

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 07:54 PM

No salt!
I find I don't have to season much since I stopped smoking

zombiehunter 29-04-2018 07:58 PM

Buttons. 29-04-2018 08:03 PM

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 08:39 PM

What are you up to buttons?

Buttons. 29-04-2018 08:47 PM

Rewatching a HP film.

Aubergine 29-04-2018 09:10 PM

Heya. :)

I am so relieved. I banged out an assignment in three hours, having not read any of the study material for the topic until the night I was writing it. Got the mark back today and I got 75. Was completely convinced that I had failed, given that I really did a lot of it by guess work/what I already knew, rather than doing it properly. Could cry with relief.

Pomegranate 29-04-2018 09:16 PM

Well done Aubergine! That’s fab :-)

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 09:19 PM

That's brilliant aubergine!
Well done!

Aubergine 29-04-2018 09:20 PM

Thank you both. :)

How are you two?

chinahorse 29-04-2018 09:20 PM

That's fab aubergine. :)

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 09:25 PM

I am tired but don't want to go to bed if I'm just going to struggle to get to sleep again!
Blah

Aubergine 29-04-2018 09:30 PM

Thank you, Lillie. How are you?

Oh dear, Beckie. It's horrible when you cannot sleep. Lying there waiting for sleep to come is very frustrating. Have you got anything you could take to help you sleep? Are the crisis team aware of your struggle to sleep?

Cacoethes 29-04-2018 09:35 PM

I've only got one diazapem left and I'd rather save that in case I *really* need it.
I'll get something from the pharmacy tomorrow.
Think I'll watch the rest of the film and then attempt sleep!!
I have told the crisis team, they just said see how it goes.
Not seen them since Friday though.
Got a letter through the door from them today saying they came but I didn't answer (was sleeping) and that was weird because they usually call me.
Oh well!!

chinahorse 29-04-2018 09:42 PM

Sleep problems are horror let beckie. I can sympathise.

I'm rubbish aubergine. Unsure if I'm legit ill or just fibro ill but either way work tomorrow will be hell if my body doesn't start behaving.
