I just finshed book 5 of harry potter..and now am on the 6th
I enjoyed 'Sunbathing in the Rain', actually had some very good points and it was indeed cheerful.
Now reading 'Lessons in Taxidermy' - Bee Lavender which I'm enjoying, and 'Victorian Horror STories' - Mike Stocks, which is funny. |
I'm 1/3 into Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller. It seems to switch from brilliant to difficult to follow quickly but it's a really interesting read.
Just finished The Lovely Bones and about to start Sex Crimes By Jenefer Shute - don't think it will be that good though!
What is with the obsession with The Lovely Bones? I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't read it... and I'm a little reluctant to, because the last time I read a book that everyone assured me was the best thing since the creation of the universe, it turned out to be Twilight.
So is it really that good? |

Alice in Wonderland. Im such a child. Buttt... the movies coming out so yeah :)
i liked lovely bones. it's not like a classic or anything by any means but i thought it was good and it was sincere and very touching in the right parts and there was also the right amount of sentimentality and family melodrama in there too. it's also decently written.

Just started Northern Lights by Philip Pullman - another book borrowed from my housemate. I know it's a kids book but my concentration is **** but already there is so much more to it than kids are likely to understand. It's pretty cool.
The reason I read The Lovely Bones is for the film coming out, plus I bought it for my Gran and borrowed it off her after she read it. I didn't think it was amazing, but a good read all the same. I would tell people to read it but that it isn't the best book out there etc.
I just read Crank by Ellen Hopkins.
Now I'm reading Along for the ride by Sarah Dessen for pleasure and Frankenstein for school. |
Frankenstein is an awful book to read - I do not envy you.
Reading Frankenstein for school? Thats quite cool! We had to read Lies of Silence... :(
I really enjoyed 'Lessons in Taxidermy'. Now about to start reading 'Where Does It Hurt?' - Max Pemberton.
Just read Trust Me i'm a Junior Doctor - Max Pemberton. Now reading The Exorcist - William Peter Blatty.

'Where Does It Hurt?' was really good. I didn't enjoy it as much as 'Trust Me I'm a Junior Doctor' but it was still great.
Now reading 'Veronika Decides to Die' - Paulo Coelho. It's alright so far but something tells me I'm not going to like it as much as I liked the film (which is unusual!) |
just read handle with care by jodi picoult... sad sad book!
I read the Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe this morning. Took a whole five minutes. I guess it was okay.
