Aubergine 01-09-2018 09:11 PM

Haha I know! It's OK, there is bread at home. If all else fails, toast for supper! :D

Cacoethes 01-09-2018 09:14 PM

I actually love toast

Aubergine 01-09-2018 09:16 PM

Me too! White bread only though. With butter.

Cacoethes 01-09-2018 09:17 PM

Absolutely!!
I never buy bread though
I can eat it on slimming world but I know I wouldnt be able to control myself!! Lol

Aubergine 01-09-2018 09:24 PM

Oh. Boo to that. :( I can kind of take it or leave it. But it is delicious when I do eat it. And there is a fresh loaf at home! *sends two slices of bread in Beckie's direction*

Cacoethes 01-09-2018 09:28 PM

Yay bread!! :-D

Aubergine 01-09-2018 09:51 PM

Hooray!

Baby cried again. There's this magic mobile that stops her from crying as soon as you put it on. Unfortunately, I think the battery is wearing out...

nonperson 01-09-2018 10:24 PM

Mmm toast.

Can you make an emergency potato battery, Aubergine!?

Aubergine 01-09-2018 10:45 PM

I'm home! My friends' lodger (who is an F1 doctor at the hospital I work in) came home and said she was happy to look after the girls from then. :D

nonperson 01-09-2018 11:04 PM

That's nice of her.

Is it toast for dinner time?

Aubergine 01-09-2018 11:09 PM

It was nice of her. :) Apparently the Mum had messaged her to ask if she'd mind if I went home once she returned from work. I had no knowledge of this! She apologised for coming home so late (bad day at work) and I didn't know she was supposed to be taking over. :)

I had some microwave herby potatoes that I had to use up today that I forgot about!

How was the food shop?

nonperson 01-09-2018 11:12 PM

Food shop was uneventful.

Which is good.

Herby potatoes sound nice. =)

Aubergine 01-09-2018 11:13 PM

Uneventful is good! Get anything nice?

I have some cinammon grahams. May have some.

nonperson 01-09-2018 11:15 PM

Not really. Bought some Twirls as a treat though.

Haven't had/heard of Cinnamon Grahams for ages! Mmm, cinnamon.

not_so_insig 01-09-2018 11:27 PM

I don't eat cereal but we are a kellogg family due to the fact that my dad used to work for them. Therefore I haven't tried cinnamon grahams. On the other hand mmm pop tarts.

nonperson 01-09-2018 11:29 PM

I hardly have cereal either.

Not sure I've had Pop Tarts in this country! I think I've only had them in America, because, y'know... you gotta. =P

Aubergine 01-09-2018 11:34 PM

I love cereal! Yum. :)

I've never been to America!

nonperson 01-09-2018 11:36 PM

I go through phases with cereal... but after eating only Weetabix every day for breakfast for about 8 years, I think I'm mostly done with cereal in general.

Other than Paris for a day trip, that's the only foreign place I've been. I like it there, although I'd probably find it scarier now than I used to.

Aubergine 01-09-2018 11:38 PM

Every day for 8 years?! That's quite an achievement!

Where abouts in America did you go?

I've only been to Germany, France and Spain. Never out of Europe!

nonperson 01-09-2018 11:41 PM

Yeah, I might have changed things up at weekends though so it's not as impressive as it sounds. And I swapped to the mini Weetabix at one point too. I like routine, heh. =P

Orlando, Florida. We did the whole Disney thing... I think I've actually been 5 times in total. o.o

I think it's probably more cultured to go to those places in Europe than the US.

Aubergine 01-09-2018 11:52 PM

Haha! You're so cool. :P :)

Five times?! Wow! Disney always seems a bit... Peopley.

I wouldn't say I was cultured. :P Well, maybe the Germany trip was. We went to art galleries and political buildings and things. And a concentration camp. :/

nonperson 01-09-2018 11:54 PM

I am, it's true.

It is very peopley. I went three times with my family when I was much younger and it didn't bother me so much. And then twice with the ex... and that was a bit harder but I dunno, crowds don't bother me so much when it's things like that or concerts. I think because everyone's there for the same reason... It's not just general public.

Germany sounds good... and bad. =/

Aubergine 01-09-2018 11:58 PM

Germany was great. Lovely people and Berlin is a stunning city. The camp was sad though, even moreso now when I think about it because of what's going elsewhere in the world in current times.

Oh, that's cool! See, I just don't do people. :P A concert or a busy place like Disney is just as bad if not worse than walking down Oxford Street. :P

nonperson 02-09-2018 12:03 AM

It really depends for me... which makes it all very unpredictable at times! Sometimes music concerts make me overly emotional and want to cry. =/

Aubergine 02-09-2018 12:07 AM

Oh! Nothing wrong with crying, mind. :)

Ugh. Heartburn. Because I have an ulcer and a hiatus hernia and an anxiety issue. Which means I feel like I'm dying when actually I am not. :wow:

nonperson 02-09-2018 12:09 AM

There is in front of lots of people!!

Oh no! Can you do anything to alleviate the feeling?

Aubergine 02-09-2018 12:10 AM

No! Let the emotions out! :) What's the best gig you've ever been to?

Might try and take some Gaviscon stuff I've got. Bleurgh.

nonperson 02-09-2018 12:24 AM

I've never had Gaviscon, is it gross? But if it helps it will be worth it!

Best gig? Wow... errr... I saw Linkin Park play the whole of Hybrid Theory live at Download festival. That was epic.

And weirdly, and also hugely embarrassingly, I saw Take That on their Progress tour at Wembley Stadium and that was actually amazing!

Buttons. 02-09-2018 09:47 AM

On the topic of Gaviscon I don't like the taste but it's not appalling and if you keep water or something nearby you can down out the taste with that. Helps me to a degree with my stomach issues etc.

Morning all :)

chinahorse 02-09-2018 09:53 AM

I don't like aniseed but the mint one isnt too bad initially, then it develops a strange stale taste of grossness after abut 20 seconds. But like you buttons, drown it with squash!! I have about a litre of it at work lol.

How're you today buttons?

Buttons. 02-09-2018 09:58 AM

Great minds think alike!

In a lot a lot a lot of pain and no idea who is going to be in today sw-wise so bit nervous as could well be someone entirely new. How are you?

chinahorse 02-09-2018 10:01 AM

Your sw agency sounds rubbish. Can you change it?
I hope they are nice though. Does anything help with the pain? *sending gentle healing vibes and cuddles*

Also in pain.

Buttons. 02-09-2018 10:07 AM

Some times they are beyond great, sometimes they're really really not. Plus the manager for my area is apparently off with famly issues and her organisational skills pretty much only thing keeping it together. I can't change it no, and tbf to the regular sw who I get on with well I don't want to risk an even shittier situation.

*takes healing vibes*

Sorry you are also in pain *hugs gently*

chinahorse 02-09-2018 10:22 AM

I'm sorry they aren't good all the time :-( but I understand your reservations.

Cacoethes 02-09-2018 11:22 AM

Hey guys

Sorry you guys arent feeling great
*hugs for all*

nonperson 02-09-2018 11:46 AM

Morning all, just.

Cacoethes 02-09-2018 11:47 AM

Hey np!

nonperson 02-09-2018 11:49 AM

Hey Beckie. What's occurring?

Cacoethes 02-09-2018 11:54 AM

Not much.
I had a dream that I was eating that reeses squirty cream stuff and now I want some
Don't even know if you can get it here!
Gonna pick up my glasses and go to asda soon

What's occuring with you?

nonperson 02-09-2018 12:00 PM

Interesting dream! I've never seen Reese's squirty cream here o.o New glasses, cool. =P

Not much is occurring here either. Just sitting with the cat, half watching Rio.

Got a million loads of laundry to do today and general cleaning, etc. Fun stuff.

chinahorse 02-09-2018 12:30 PM

Is it like peanut butter flavoured cream or something?

New glasses are always so exciting beckie!

Ugh NP, hope its not too painful. I didn't plan to do any washing today but then I cut my leg shaving and got it on the cream bathmat :(

I am now mostly procrastinating doing my course.

one_step_closer 02-09-2018 12:41 PM

Hi everyone.

nonperson 02-09-2018 12:44 PM

Hi Lillie and Lindsay. How's it going?

It's also bathmat washing day for me too! But mine is dark grey - a much more forgiving colour. =)

one_step_closer 02-09-2018 12:48 PM

I don't even have a bathmat, I just stand on my clothes!

I'm just about to make lunch I think.

nonperson 02-09-2018 12:56 PM

What's for lunch?

chinahorse 02-09-2018 12:58 PM

Mine was only wash 2 days ago NP! I also have a grey one but couldn't leave this one to stain.

Eek! but then your clean feet are on the dirty clothes and then you can't put the clothes into a washing bin as they'd be damp and smelly?

chinahorse 02-09-2018 01:07 PM

Ok, seriously how do my glasses get greasy when they are ON MY FREAKIN FACE? like they were slightly so when I put them on (work related grime) but its got to the point where Ive had to take them off because I cant see through them.

Cacoethes 02-09-2018 01:10 PM

Im not sure what the reeses thing actually is but I want it :p

I am also doing washing!
Need to change bedsheets.
How are you always doing washing Lillie?! Lol

I don't have a bathmat. I use a towel!

I feel you re. Glasses Lillie!!

chinahorse 02-09-2018 01:19 PM

Because I mainly only wear things once, at most twice and wash my sheets once a week and use two towels a week. And I don't have a full weeks worth of work clothes which means I do half washes of bits and bobs with them in. Then add in the clumsy spilling drinks on soft furnishings factor and thats at least a 2x monthly extra wash.

Using a towel is also acceptable but not as nice feeling on your feet.

I don't wanna do my course.

nonperson 02-09-2018 01:28 PM

The Lego Movie is on tv! =D
