Night Cacoethes.
I just spent a few hours making a sculpture and finally finished it :) |
Brilliant Sibe. What did you use to make the sculpture? I’m genuinely interested because I’m an artist too.
|
Simple white air dry clay. I haven't sculpted anything in about six years, and even then this is only my fourth ever sculpture. It's devotional, of the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet.
|
Impressive.
|
Thank you. I'm quite proud of it. :)
|
I like the detail in it.
|
I'm glad! I spent a bit of time watching youtube videos of other people making sculptures, and learned a lot that way.
|
It’s great what you can learn on YouTube.
I better get some sleep now. Goodnight. I hope you sleep well. |
I will be heading to sleep as well. Super tired.
Goodnight, I hope your throat is better by morning. :) |
Thank you. Goodnight.
|
Good morning
|
Sibe that looks amazing.
Morning :) How are you cpt? |

Good morning everyone. I'm eating pizza for breakfast :D |
Good morning. Thanks Buttons and Bambi! :) I was so worried it would turn out horribly wrong since I'm such a newbie at sculptures. I'm liking it though!
I'd love pizza for breakfast. Instead I threw a turkey+cheese+mushroom sandwich into the oven. Pizza bread, lol :) What is everyone up to today? |
Hey guys
|
Hi Cacoethes :) How are you doing?
|
Hi there!
|
Hi dawn Sibe and Beckie! How are we all today?
|
I am ok. I have had a text from the gp reminding me of the flu jab appointment. First time I've had a text from the gp.
I am being driven mad by building noise down the road. They are converting an old chapel into flats. Usually it's too far away for me to hear but today is one of those days where it's carrying in the wind. |
I'm alright. Feeling better today, but I'm very cold. How about you?
|
I'm ok thanks.
Putting off doing the cleaning. I bought cleaning supplies so I'm calling that a win for today :p Glad you're feeling better sibe |
I just made cinnamon cocoa coffee. Delllicioussss.
|
Oooo that sounds really good!
|
It certainly was! I'm so glad Autumn is here; my favorite season and I can drink a lot of cosy drinks :)
|
Autumn's Ok, it just rains a lot where I am.
|
I like autumn.
I hate the heat!! |
That's what I like about living in the UK, it doesn't get too hot or too cold - mostly, it can sometimes - but it rains a lot.
|
It definitely rains a lot-my local giant Tesco's roof is massively leaking, when I went today there were buckets everywhere!
|
I like the rain!
This weather is good for me. Don't need to put the heating on, you can just put on a jumper and snuggle under a blanket. And its hoodie weather so no big heavy coats! Thats not good Katy!! |
The rain is my one true love! For me it could be grey and rainy every day. Either that, or grey and snowy.
|
I do like the snow if I don't have to go anywhere.
Public transport really can't cope with it so I wouldn't be able to go anywhere! |
I know!
I love hoody weather <3 Rain is a pain for walking the dog though. |
At primary school we used to say 'rain, rain go away please come back another day.'
|
Yeah I can imagine it's not great for walking the dog!
Fav thing is thunderstorm outside and a nice hot beverage curled up under a blanket. Perfect! We used to say that too cpt! |
Thunderstorms don't happen very often unfortunately.
|
Yup, especially when said dog is determined she is Not walking in the rain :P
I love storm outside, cosy with brew inside too Beckie. I remember that phrase as well Cpt. |

No they don't happen very often.
I love a good storm |
No, I live right down in the South, Devon, I can see the English channel when I get the bus in the morning, not from my window though. But Devon's a big place, been to Exeter, Torquay a few times, never North Devon, spent loads of time in Cornwall, I remember when I was really young, we went on a holiday to a place called Padstow, in Cornwall, there was a massive thunder & lightning storm, our dog was shaking like a leaf, never seen a dog so scared, haven't ever since.
|
Must be a nice place to live.
I went to Devon a few times as a kid because we have friends down there. I'd like to see more of the UK |
I love Devon-I used to go a lot as a kid as my grandparents lived down there.
|
Me and my dog love walking in the rain. We take 3-hour long walks just to get soaked and then come home, change into warm pyjamas and relax.
|
That sounds awesome sibe!
I wish I had a dog. Would.motivate me to go out and walk more! |
I have two. A Siberian Husky and a Jack Russell Terrier/Corgi mix. :)
|
Awww lovely!
Dogs are the best |
Apart from places in Devon & Cornwall, I've been to London, Newport & Cardiff Wales, Bristol, Portsmouth, Edinburgh & Glasgow in Scotland, but only briefly in all places. Longest time was 2 weeks in Edinburgh.
|
There are some really lovely places in the UK.
What's everyone up to? |
I'm looking on YouTube to see if there's a good Movie to watch, I think I've found one, after that dinner, probably have egg on toast, then spag bol
