Voldemort 01-12-2016 08:32 PM

Mmm. Indian. And Dominoes! We never really get dominoes because we live too far away.

Buttons. 01-12-2016 08:38 PM

I've ordered a burger and chips as craving (don't normally) and a chicken tikka masala with naan bread as had to round order up to £10. My body has nutritional issues (apparently -_-) so they've told me to try and eat more and more varied despite not being able to shake my weight so perfect excuse for a takeaway, though I wish they did smaller portion sizes *worries about ability to finish it*

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 08:40 PM

I ALWAYS order too much when I get takeaway!
End up eating it cold for breakfast as I am very paranoid about heating things up

Voldemort 01-12-2016 08:40 PM

Sounds tasty. Good to keep your intake up, Katy.

Buttons. 01-12-2016 08:41 PM

Still I have Friends on the telly, sort of friends here, despite being death eaters :p and I've already told myself how much to try and get down so fingers crossed.

Buttons. 01-12-2016 08:42 PM

I got ninja posted by BOTH of you *waves wand menancingly :D*

Thankyou :)

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 08:45 PM

I hope you'll be able to eat a good amount! Craving is a good sign!! :D

I'm tired despite sleeping about 19 hours yesterday/today

Buttons. 01-12-2016 08:48 PM

Had you had a busy few days before that? Maybe it's your body's way of saying slow down for a tiny bit and get some rest?

In completely unrelated news I just saw TV advert for TOYS R US, did everyone else know that was still a thing???

Voldemort 01-12-2016 08:51 PM

I don't think toys 'r' us exists over here. We have Smyths.

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 08:55 PM

I've been fairly busy. College and appointments and shiz. And I accidentally took my night meds at like 3pm yesterday hence sleeping at 4pm but not sure why I only woke up at about 11am though!

Yes, Toys R Us is still a thing! My nanny takes Jasmine there sometimes as a treat and gets a few new toys each time! She is very spoiled. First Great grandchild!

I think we have smyths over here too. I'm sure I've seen them around.

Voldemort 01-12-2016 08:57 PM

They're all very expensive regardless!

Buttons. 01-12-2016 09:00 PM

Probably a combination of sleep meds and being plain knackered then :P

I can't believe that it's still a thing! Jasmine definitely sounds like one incredibly lucky kid! Then again I bet she wasn't as much of a brat as I was the first time I remember going-my mum was picking out stuff for that Toys in a Shoebox appeal and everything she picked I wanted :P

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:01 PM

I don't remember toy shopping as a child. We never had any money though so we knew not to ask.

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:04 PM

Good evening all.

Buttons. 01-12-2016 09:05 PM

Evening!!!

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:05 PM

Hey Lorraine, how are you?

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:06 PM

Yes they are very expensive!

Jasmine is VERY lucky! She is quite good really! And mum gets her all these posh clothes at discounted prices. Jasmine has a pair of gold trainers by Ralph Lauren and some doc martins and the pony of course!
(She got them all seriously cheap somehow and the pony was my sisters old pony that she outgrew)
But she is incredibly lucky!
She's going to start going to pony club rallies with my sister and Jasmine's little friend. So cute!

I remember the shoe box appeal thing! We did it too.
Did you manage to get anything from toys r us or did it all go in the shoebox?!

HI Lorraine!

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:09 PM

Wow, Jasmine sounds like a very lucky little girl!

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:12 PM

Hello Katy, Amy and Beckie.

I'm not ok, but I won't rant in this thread.

Jasmine is very lucky.

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:13 PM

If you want to PM, let me know, Lorraine. <3

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:14 PM

Very spoiled! :P
My mum has been sure that she doesn't turn into one of those bratty, entitled kids though!

I never had any of that when I was younger so it's nice that Jasmine has nice things!

She doesn't know what she wants for Christmas though which is annoying. Well, see said she wanted 'all the things' so I'm taking that as a I don't know!

Sorry you're not feeling good Lorraine *hugs*

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:15 PM

Thank you lovely , I'll be fine. Just riding it out.

Buttons. 01-12-2016 09:15 PM

Can I go back in time and be Jasmine :P

Yes ironically I did get something from Toys R Us for Christmas-a set of toy horses :D -did get riding lessons later on though part paid for by Mum part by mucking out at local stables so worked out okay :P

Anyway I'm going to sod off for a bit as my food has come x

Buttons. 01-12-2016 09:16 PM

Before I go though, thinking of you Lorraine x

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:16 PM

That's good, Beckie.

And alright Lorraine. I hope you feel better.

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:16 PM

It will be nice because jasmine is at the age where you write to Santa and leave out a carrot for rudolf etc. It will be good at Christmas being that age.

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:17 PM

Thanks everyone

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:20 PM

I can't believe it's only 8:20.

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:21 PM

I know. I'm already hiding in my bed.

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:22 PM

I must admit, I do look forward to Christmas now we have Jasmine! Christmas is so magical for children and I love doing the whole leaving out a mince pie and a carrot thing! She's only 4 so we've got a good few more years of it! :)

Enjoy your food Katy!!

It feels much later!

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:23 PM

I want it to be Saturday already!

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:24 PM

Does something nice happen on Saturday?

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:25 PM

Yes, I get to go home for a few hours!

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:26 PM

Excellent. That will be nice. I remember in hospital how good it felt being allowed out for a few hours.

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:28 PM

Yeah, I can't wait.

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:32 PM

You never know how much you miss home until you're away from it I find.

I've put my electric blanket on and I'll go to bed after this episode. Give my blanket a chance to heat up!

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:34 PM

Good plan Beckie. It's cold, although here it's not as freezing as it was.

Buttons. 01-12-2016 09:37 PM

I will sod off again quickly and not be depressing but if anyone feels up to checking out GA and has any advice, would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks x

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:38 PM

It's definitely not as cold as it has been!

Will have a look Katy! X

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:40 PM

I'll have a look too

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:43 PM

I wish I was cold. I'm roasting and right next to a radiator!

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:46 PM

That's not good amy! I always find that hospitals are either roasting hot or freezing cold. There is no in between!
Although in my last hospital, each room had its own thermostat which was pretty cool. Except all the nurses on my obs wold constantly turn it up because they were cold :/

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:49 PM

This radiator refuses to switch off, lol. I've been sleeping under a sheet the last few nights.

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:51 PM

Hospitals tend to be warm. I was in a hospital room with a massive radiator and was always too warm.
Is there a window you can open?

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:52 PM

I'd rather be too cold than too hot!
I find it much easier to layer up and snuggle under blankets and stuff!
There's only so many layers you can take off before it becomes an issue....

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:54 PM

I agree Beckie. Although lately I'm always too cold. I think I just like to moan about the weather. There is no pleasing me.

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:54 PM

Same! I hate being too hot. There is a window yeah but the other patients complain when it's open.

Cacoethes 01-12-2016 09:56 PM

Well, if we didn't have the weather to moan about, what would we talk about at bus stops or the hairdressers or other places that require small talk?

Voldemort 01-12-2016 09:57 PM

This is a very good point!

Sketchy 01-12-2016 09:57 PM

That's a pity Amy.

Well, I'm going to log off soon, so I'll wish you all good night.
