tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 11:41 AM

Hmm yes not hugely reliable. Are there any activities to pass the time?

Just the one load to put away, should only take 5 minutes.

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 11:42 AM

That was mean of Aldi :(

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 11:52 AM

ikr! Savage.

What will you be up to until Mass then tamo?

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 11:55 AM

That is a very boring choice of meal deals tbh!
I'm with aldi on this one.
I always think it's weird when people come out for a meal and then order tap water? If you're going out then get a fun drink! I know some people just like water.
There's also someone who buys a bottle of water and always leaves half of it??

Apparently activities are happening in the lounge, but the ward is very unsettled and annoying atm. So i prefer not to venture out. Not that i would have gone anyway XD

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 12:09 PM

Ah, see I would often get tap water because it's free! Why bother paying for a drink when you don't have to?

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 12:10 PM

It's nearly hot chocolate time but I've ran out of my normal hot chocolate powder so I need to try either the fancy stuff my sister got me for Christmas or the solid melty stuff from the refill shop and both are unknown and presumably Dreadful.

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 12:15 PM

I suppose so! I think it's just because i don't like water.

Oh no! It's good to try new things though!
They might be even better than the usual powder!
We have galaxy hot chocolate here. It used to be sachets from an unknown bulk buy company but they're splashing out now. We also get nutella in little packets. Idk what's going on there!

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 12:17 PM

Don't presume Pi, it might be nommy.
Fair enough Cacoethes.
I'll just be doing my normal routine of prayer and TV, maybe a wordsearch and some reading. And afternoon tea with the family as usual!

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 12:20 PM

You two are way too optimistic :plain:
Haha, what luxury you have there Beckie :P
Tamo, do you have afternoon tea every Sunday? That's so cool!

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 12:20 PM

Galaxy hot chocolate is good. When I was in H they did supper every evening and they made galaxy hot chocolate with milk, even though it was recommended to be made with water, and it was really great.

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 12:24 PM

Hot chocolate with water is so silly!
Oh, tamo, did you see that doctors epsiode where the new GP kid was ‘counselling’ a footballer and it was like the worst counselling ever??? (As you can tell, I’m very behind!)

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 12:24 PM

We have morning and afternoon tea pretty much every day! Dad makes a pot of tea snd anyone who's interested joins in the drinking. This is usually Dad, N and I, and Mum drinks her coffee and works.

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 12:25 PM

I did see it. I wouldn't have wanted him counselling me.

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 12:30 PM

Aww, that's nice! I did for a moment want to ask who I was and then I remembered it was you :P

Yeah, I ranted at my actual counsellor about his poor technique!

Also this hot chocolate is so displeasing I might have to RV about it.

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 12:32 PM

Definitely. Maybe give the other one a go?

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 12:36 PM

We have supper every evening too.
Some make it with milk, some with water.
I don't mind either way.

Oh that's disappointing!
You should start a support thread ;p

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 12:43 PM

Lol, so tempting. Or I could RV tragically about how I don't think I deserve one and hopefully someone will make a support thread for me :P
Tamo, I'm going to soldier on drinking this one as the downside of using milk is that it feels wasteful to throw it away!

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 12:56 PM

Hmmm. I had a manky tea bag the other day and I didn't want to be wasteful but in the end I had to admit it really was too unpleasant. Granted, less milk than a hot chocolate.

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 01:52 PM

It took me 2.5 minutes to put away my washing.

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 02:04 PM

Wow, impressive!

I'm about to hang up the laundry which will definitely take more than 2.5 mins :P

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 02:20 PM

Actually add to that a few seconds to hang up a dress I forgot about because it was hanging in the bathroom. Most of my clothes last week was lounge wear so to put it away I just threw it in my chest of drawers.

How goes you clothes-putting-away?

one_step_closer 23-04-2023 02:49 PM

Hi everyone, busy in here. I have read everything but probably not taken it in!

I hope you're all having a good day and enjoy your visit, Beckie. What's everyone going to be like in the ward when the 3pm alarm test happens?

Hot chocolate should always be made with milk but I make it with water when I can't be bothered heating milk. I don't drink hot drinks often though.

I've changed my bedding, done a washing and put the previous dry stuff away and the wet stuff on the airer, cleaned the bathroom, and packed some eBay orders.

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 02:59 PM

Well done osc

I spend most of the day with a hot drink next to me!

one_step_closer 23-04-2023 03:01 PM

Do you have a favourite hot drink? Do you have biscuits with it?

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 04:05 PM

Mostly I drink decaff coffee but my favourite is actually tea. With this cup of tea I'm having a creme egg.

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 04:06 PM

Has everyone's alarm gone off?

I knew Jenna would never be supportive of me having pineapple on Pizza. :crying: :crying: :crying:

I turned alarms off on my phone and got my parter to turn off on his, therefore was safe from being scared by siren. Hope everyone else handled it ok.

Having a very slow day, woke up with a killer headache that has thankfully lessened now. So I am out of bed and slowly pottering around my house doing things. Had coffee. And have one of my bears with me for cuddles.

one_step_closer 23-04-2023 04:43 PM

I didn’t get the alert. Do you only get it if you’re using 4g or 5g? I never use data just wifi.

Take it as easy as you need to, Jen. I’m glad you’re managing being up doing little things though.

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 04:53 PM

I got mine two minutes after my spouse who was only downstairs and it was supposed to be being done regionally so have decided that the two floors of our house are in different time zones. I'm awaiting further update but it seems possible that my friend who doesn't even have a smart phone got the alert on their phone which I didn't think would happen!

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 05:30 PM

I disabled the alarm so mine didn't go off. My friend's did. As anticipated, i forgot about it. At least i didn't have earphones in!
I didn't hear anyone else's because i locked us in the dining room.

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 05:33 PM

We discovered that for some reason even though it was loud, it wasn't audible over zoom - we only saw eachother's alarmed faces!

nonperson 23-04-2023 05:53 PM

I forgot about the alarm. It went off on my work phone which was thankfully in the kitchen and not right next to me. I guess it didn't work on my normal phone as I get no signal at home, even though it is connected to the wifi calling thing. *shrug*

Afternoon all.

Pi.R^2 23-04-2023 05:55 PM

Afternoon! How are you?

one_step_closer 23-04-2023 05:55 PM

Some people have been getting them at different times, like before 3pm or after 3pm. I don't use phone data so I'll need to appoint a disaster communicator who tells me when there has been an emergency alert. Does anyone want to apply for this position?

How was your visit, Beckie?

That sounds quite funny, Jenna!

Oh, I just spied an NP ninja! How are things?

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 06:01 PM

My friend's went off at 2:59 lol

My visit was lovely thanks
Its given me an extra energy boost.

Hellooooo there np!

one_step_closer 23-04-2023 06:04 PM

I'm pleased to hear that, also the things you mentioned he might do for you in your R/V. You have a great friend.

Was that meant to be an impression of Mrs Doubtfire with cake on her face peeking round the fridge to say hello to the woman? Because that's what I got.

nonperson 23-04-2023 06:21 PM

I'm alright, absolutely shattered from the last couple of days. It was the last plant competition of the season yesterday and I came away with a rather difficult to win trophy.

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 06:24 PM

I do have a great friend!

It was indeed!
Because i know np always thinks of it when i say hellooo :tongue2:

Well done np!

long road 23-04-2023 06:57 PM

Well done NP.

I just managed to get out to my garden for a little bit and got some late afternoon sun. And did some of my physio exercises and stretches when I got back inside.

Got to do online shopping order and to help prep veg for our roast tonight.

nonperson 23-04-2023 06:59 PM

I must be beyond tired because I didn't think of Mrs Doubtfire at all until Lindsay said it!

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 07:04 PM

Well done Jen!
Hope you get some yummy things in your order!

You must be tired np!

nonperson 23-04-2023 07:14 PM

Wondering if I can stay awake long enough to watch the last episode of the Mandalorian...

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 07:16 PM

It's a risk!

nonperson 23-04-2023 07:25 PM

I will take that risk.

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 07:31 PM

This is the way

Ahimsa 23-04-2023 07:37 PM

Is it long NP? How long do you need to stay awake for?

tamobhuuta 23-04-2023 07:38 PM

Hi guys.

Cacoethes 23-04-2023 07:42 PM

Hello both!

Ahimsa 23-04-2023 07:46 PM

Hey Tamo, hey Beckie.

I have my first mental health appointment tomorrow!

long road 23-04-2023 07:48 PM

Partner did the veg and I did the pile of washing up instead in the end. Having a bit of a chill now before doing online shop.

Good Luck for your Appointment Beth!
