The book was by one of my favourite authors but it wasn't as good as some of her other ones.

TV and or/reading can be good for ignoring other things. Is it CSI repeats you're watching. I hope you can find the motivation to shower and feel nice and clean and relaxed afterwards.

Cacoethes 04-01-2022 04:23 PM

That's a shame

That's true..
It is repeats. But I hadn't seen most of them.
Thanks. I have to shower really because of work tomorrow and my hair is really gross

one_step_closer 04-01-2022 04:25 PM

Does yucky hair not really annoy you? I hate the feeling so that means I wash my hair every second day. I don't have a shower though which is bad.

Cacoethes 04-01-2022 04:34 PM

Sometimes.
But the last few weeks I just don't care about anything

I hate washing my hair without having a shower
I do it sometimes though
I just find it less effort to have a shower for some reason

tamobhuuta 04-01-2022 05:04 PM

Hi osc :)

one_step_closer 04-01-2022 05:51 PM

It probably is less effort.

Hi Tamo, how are you?

tamobhuuta 04-01-2022 07:06 PM

I'm ok. I've done everything on my coping list but I'm not feeling great. But I am ok really :)

Are you up to much this evening?

Cacoethes 04-01-2022 09:49 PM

I've just watched the most recent 2 episodes of casualty with my friend (not physically together, just at the same time and text about it)
And OMG i am so stressed out!!!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 09:44 AM

How are people doing?

I'm not usually online this early but recently my ability yo sleep has vanished so through would see if any morning types were about

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 09:51 AM

I'm about!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 10:09 AM

Yay not only one here

How's the covid? You still in isolation times or you out now? Thinking mathematically you gain freedom around nowish or tomorrowish

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 10:22 AM

Yep today I am free!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 10:31 AM

Whoo

That's good. Speaking as someone who's been not far off trapped inside for 2 months now, it sucks.

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 10:42 AM

It really does suck!

Do you have any plans for the day?

shadow-light 05-01-2022 10:46 AM

Not really... got a zoom meeting at 6pm, but other than that nothing. OK, to be fair there's MOUNTAINS of housework, but I don't see any of it getting done

You up to much?

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 10:51 AM

I know that feeling!

I've got work from 12-6

I'm really upset because my new daith piercing fell out and i can't get it back in!
Going to have to go to the piercing place tomorrow and hope it hasn't closed up!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 10:52 AM

I have no idea what a daith is

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 10:54 AM

Haha! Neither do I tbh. That's why I can't get it back in, because I can't remember the bit of the ear it goes in XD
All I know is It's an inside bit. So you can't really see it in the mirror.

shadow-light 05-01-2022 10:56 AM

OK googled daith, I never really thought of what tgat bit of the ear would be called

shadow-light 05-01-2022 10:57 AM

Also, how the heck did that fall out?

tamobhuuta 05-01-2022 11:02 AM

Morning all x

shadow-light 05-01-2022 11:03 AM

Morning

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 11:04 AM

I have no idea Hazel!
Out of all my piercings I would have thought it was the least likely to fall out!

Morning tamo
How are you?

shadow-light 05-01-2022 11:05 AM

Exactly, peircings in other places I can see getting caught on stuff or working lose due to skin movement... but a daith one looks like a faff to put in/out so less likely fall out

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 11:22 AM

Exactly!
It's the original ring as well. So it should be really in there!

tamobhuuta 05-01-2022 11:33 AM

*looks up daith*

tamobhuuta 05-01-2022 11:35 AM

That looks particularly painful.

I thought the same

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 11:38 AM

It was quite painful tbh!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 11:50 AM

I've only ever had my ear lobes peirced, and that went so badly I still have deformed ears now after they got reconstructed

(Discovered after getting them peirced that I have a tendency to form keloids, ended up with golf ball sized growths on each ear and after 3 surgeries, steroid injections, and radiotherapy, I decided never to get another peircing)

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 11:54 AM

Oh no!
That sounds awful!
Yeah if that happened to me I probably wouldn't want any more piercings either!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 11:59 AM

technicallty any/all injuries can result in keloids on me. But nothing has ever been as bad as the ears were. Didn't help that I was like 15 when it first happened and took over 3 years to finally get rod of them, kids that age are not kind

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 12:03 PM

Teenagers suck

shadow-light 05-01-2022 12:07 PM

They do

On the bright side my ears are in a medical journal somewhere  apparently my specific form of keloids is really rare in white people so the doctors asked to use me as a case study

Cacoethes 05-01-2022 12:14 PM

Oooh! Interesting!

Right. Time to leave for work!
See you guys later!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 12:15 PM

have fun

tamobhuuta 05-01-2022 12:36 PM

Have fun.

tamobhuuta 05-01-2022 12:55 PM

How's the house work going shadow?

shadow-light 05-01-2022 12:56 PM

erm... it isn't

I have basically sat on twitter all mormig... also got an assignment deadline today and have typed about 5 words...

you up to much today?

tamobhuuta 05-01-2022 01:41 PM

Oh dear! I hope you get some motivation.

I've got a friend coming over for coffee after lunch.

shadow-light 05-01-2022 01:44 PM

not sure its motivation as such more a paralyisis of activity and struggling to focus mind. I might at the very least put the laudry thats been sat in the drier away

hope you have a good time with your friend

not_so_insig 05-01-2022 03:47 PM

Hello all. I have had an tesco shopping order just now am resting before I tackle the next lot of putting away. Probably have another rest before it's all done.

not_so_insig 05-01-2022 04:30 PM

Everything put away now!

shadow-light 05-01-2022 04:36 PM

i've never had shopping delivered, is it turn that you get some properly random subsitutions?

nonperson 05-01-2022 05:37 PM

You don't have to accept the subs if they're too weird.

My friend got an entire bag of stuff that wasn't hers once. The driver said to keep it!

one_step_closer 05-01-2022 06:07 PM

I hate when I order 3 big bags of Tescos own brand of cat litter and they don't have it so send me a tiny bag of posh litter which costs the same as the 3 big bags in total but obviously doesn't last for long.

one_step_closer 05-01-2022 06:13 PM

I've just noticed Amazon left a delivery at my back door. They didn't put a card through my door, I only found out when I was checking my orders on the Amazon app. It could have been something expensive or weather affected.

nonperson 05-01-2022 06:31 PM

I've heard they like to do unfair swaps like that, Lindsay.

Amazon are bastards >=(

one_step_closer 05-01-2022 07:19 PM

I never know what to expect from delivery companies. Some of them are ok.

What are you doing with your evening NP?

nonperson 05-01-2022 07:23 PM

From my experience Amazon's delivery style can generally be described as "inconsistent".

Nothing really, just tv. How about you?
