Hmmmmmmm, fair point. XD

Cacoethes 23-01-2020 09:11 PM

It all sounds complicated tbh!

not_so_insig 23-01-2020 09:12 PM

I am busy cleaning my flat. Just got the dusting in the hall and living room, mopping the hall, putting the dishes away and cleaning my kitchen sink left to do. Done everywhere else.

nonperson 23-01-2020 09:13 PM

I'm going to bring things back down to a more comprehensible level and let you al know that I have popping candy chocolate. <3

nonperson 23-01-2020 09:13 PM

Good work, Dawn!

Cacoethes 23-01-2020 09:15 PM

Ooo popping candy chocolate!!

nonperson 23-01-2020 09:16 PM

It's like fake Toblerone. A big bar left over from Christmas.

Eska 23-01-2020 09:16 PM

Beckie - I was trying to read a work-relevant research paper last night and... well. It was challenging. The third sentence in went like this: “Established unconventional T cell ligands include lipid antigens presented by the conserved CD1 family of molecules, as recognized by natural killer T (NKT) cells and germline-encoded mycolyl-lipid reactive T (GEM) cells.”

(I didn't get very far.)

Well done Dawn!

Cacoethes 23-01-2020 09:19 PM

Well that sounds extremely complicated!
I used to understand that sort of thing from when I was doing my health sciences degree (that I didn't finish) but it's all completely gone now!

chinahorse 23-01-2020 09:52 PM

I do understand that eska, but remember the days of googling or looking up every other word in a paper.

I have tea :) But no popping candy chocolate sadly.

I absolutely love that! It's so cheap too. There's also a spicy (sweet chili?) tomato one.

I find the IPA rather instinctive but I am bilingual & grew up with a lot of scienc-y terminology (biology was a special interest & my mum was a pharmacist).

Well done for cleaning Dawn!

I love popping candy chocolate, NP!

Bit upset, just found out via email I didn't get the job.

nonperson 24-01-2020 11:06 AM

Aw Lillie that sucks. Don't take it to heart.

Cacoethes 24-01-2020 11:47 AM

Morning guys

Sorry to hear that Lillie
It's always disheartening but there will be other opportunities <3

Cacoethes 24-01-2020 12:02 PM

One of my brothers has just informed me he has my chemical romance tickets.
I am insanely jealous

one_step_closer 24-01-2020 12:04 PM

Morning everyone, I hope you have a good day.

Sorry to hear that Lillie.

Your brother is unkind Beckie!

Cacoethes 24-01-2020 12:15 PM

I know! I can't believe he managed to get tickets

How are you lindsay?

one_step_closer 24-01-2020 12:16 PM

Were they sold out quickly?

I was ok but now upset.

How are you?

Cacoethes 24-01-2020 12:27 PM

Apparently they sold out almost immediately!
But his girlfriend managed to get some

Oh no :(

I'm ok. Looking forward to swimming today!

tamobhuuta 24-01-2020 12:51 PM

Sorry you didn't get the job china *hugs*

I'm not a fan of mcr.

Picked up all my meds this morning, relieved now. Just having official tea time with Dad and my sister.

Cacoethes 24-01-2020 01:01 PM

Sounds good tamo

I'm off to the pool now. See you guys later!

chinahorse 24-01-2020 01:05 PM

Have fun beckie :-)

one_step_closer 24-01-2020 01:06 PM

I hope you have a nice swim Beckie.

Do you have much else to do with your day Tamo?

How are you getting on Lillie?

chinahorse 24-01-2020 01:11 PM

I'm not good. Really not.

Hugs lindsay.

one_step_closer 24-01-2020 01:12 PM

*hugs back* Is there anything I can do to help? Are you looking after yourself as best as you can?

tamobhuuta 24-01-2020 01:17 PM

More hugs for china.

No, quiet day now.

chinahorse 24-01-2020 01:40 PM

Find me a point?

I've gone out to post a letter and buy some bits from aldi. May get some wool for crochet.

tamobhuuta 24-01-2020 01:56 PM

Well done china. I suppose the point that helps me is that I am loved, like everyone. You are loved.

one_step_closer 24-01-2020 02:13 PM

You are very, very worthwhile Lillie. I'm sorry you feel like you don't have a point. Well done for getting out. Are you doing any crocheting at the minute?

What will you be doing with the rest of your day then Tamo?

nonperson 24-01-2020 02:21 PM

Today's dictionary.com Word of the Day is hobnob! So now I want biscuits so badly. =(

one_step_closer 24-01-2020 02:23 PM

Is there a definition of hobnob other than the biscuit?

I would like some biscuits too.

chinahorse 24-01-2020 02:25 PM

I can only crochet blankets with any success. Got some pink/purpley wool.

Mmmmm biscuits.

Moved the sofa. Found:
3 rattly balls
2 ping pong balls
2 crinkley balls
1 bell ball
1 string footballer
1 rattan mouse

nonperson 24-01-2020 02:29 PM

Pop exciting finds, Lillie!

I didn't read the description of hobnob! My mind went straight to biscuits and having to tell people!

verb (used without object) [hob-nob]

to associate on very friendly terms (usually followed by with): She often hobnobs with royalty.

Indigo. 24-01-2020 02:30 PM

*hugs Lillie*

*hugs Lindsay*

A bunch of my friends on Facebook have MCR tickets. I wouldn't be able to go anyway.

That's a lot of stuff, Lillie!

nonperson 24-01-2020 02:31 PM

I can't remember if I saw a bit of MCR at a festival years ago and walked off because they were crap. =P

I think it was them.

chinahorse 24-01-2020 02:32 PM

I've never used hobnob to mean anything but biscuit. Didnt know it had another meaning.

Cacoethes 24-01-2020 02:42 PM

I didn't know hobnob had another meaning either!

I have finished my swim. It was lovely!
Now treating myself to a costa at the pool cafe.

one_step_closer 24-01-2020 03:01 PM

My stomach is rumbling, send hobnobs of the biscuit variety!

I'm glad you enjoyed your swim Beckie. What did you get from Costa? Not that I know anything about hot drinks other than hot chocolate.

not_so_insig 24-01-2020 03:29 PM

I moved my tumble dryer this morning because one of favourite socks had fallen down the back. Found 3 socks. Biggest problem was moving it back into position but eventually managed it
