Combo of health reasons and while I can afford it I have less money coming in than I used to would like to save a bit more for just in case.
|
Sounds like it's necessary right now!
|
Oops, i got outninja’d myself there!
Glad you got your delivery Beckie. Jen, I don’t think you need to feel bad about the takeaways. Has your partner tried batch cooking so you can reheat stuff and he can have some easier evenings? |
It is probably necessary and admittedly we order less now than we did when I first got ill. I even made dinner almost entirely by myself last week. A Nudelauflauf!
We do batch cook a few things that you can reheat on the hob. But my partner doesn't like microwaves as a concept I dont understand much why but he doesn't like to use them and I gave up on the arguement years back. I grew up without one so it's not a big hindrance. It's irrational but it's one of his few faults. |
That's great!
I need to start batch cooking. I have nothing against microwaves, I use mine all the time, but I cannot cook anything without following specific instructions written on the container. So I couldn't heat homemade things up |
Hoping working with OT can get me to do cooking and stuff more regularly and finding ways to do it more safely.
My main rule for heating homemade stuff is never from frozen always defrosted in fridge and make sure it's piping hot all the way through. There are also some things that are safer to reheat than others rice is ok to reheat once but not twice for instance. |
That would be good
Yeah makes sense. I remember 'piping hot right through' from food tech gcse. Lol I still don't think I'd be able to deal with it My brain is itching |
I can understand it could be difficult to handle, as doubts can lead to intrusive thoughts etc.
If I am making your brain itch I shall change the subject. I am currently binge watching numbers a early to late 2000's crime TV show. |

Also what do you mean by your brain being itchy? |
Yes indeedy!
It's definitely not you making my brain itch, dw! I'm binging futurama. But think I'm gonna try and sleep! I remember the nudelauflauf thing I cannot believe i spelled that withiut copying it Idk. It's like my head is itching but it's my brain |

Sounds like sleep could be a good idea, is there a chance head/brain itching could be epilepsy related? I get some weird sensations due to my neurological condition. |
Was like cheese and tomato pasta or smth right?
Not epilepsy related, have no fear! I know why it is But don't wanna get another stern pm for discussing illegal activity XD |
Ah reading between the lines there I suggest sleep.
I shall also warn you that those kind of things can worsen psychosis. |
Cheese and tomato pasta bake essentially. So your ready meal the other day pretty much counted!
|
Yeah i do need to sleep
I have work tomorrow Not until 12 tho tbf So far has not had that effect but noted. Ooh yay! I'm part of the trend! Only like 10 yearz too late XD |
Sleep is good. I should try sleeping soonm trying to get to bed earlier to help with the whole waking up at a consistent time goal I have.
Is ten years too late to a trend the opposite of being a hipster?? |
Quite possibly!
|
Nudelauflauf is any kind of pasta bake!
Also Beckie lol, I feel bad but am also amused by your permanent state of fear of receiving a Stern PM :P |
I remember now that Nudelauflauf was any kind of pasta bake, just nearly all my pastabakes have a cheese and tomato base.
Jenna you had vegan Mac and cheese earlier did you bake it? If so you made Nudelauflauf today! |
I don't wanna get banned! I'm literally always here XD
Morning everyone! |
Morning Cacoethes, how are you? I'm waiting for my clozapine blood test.
|
Morning all.
|
Hi Beckie and Tamo :)
How are you guys??? I hate waiting!!! For anything!!! I sympathise, Tamo!!! |
Ack, Dawn you beat me to it!!! How are you today?
|
I am freezing. It's cold here.
|
Afternoon le thread.
It's cold in the shade here but warm in the sun. Just spent some time sittng in the sun in my garden drinking my morning coffee. I am 3 for 3 last three days in getting outside before noon, feeling quite proud of myself last time I tried to get in a routine it didn't go this well. |
Well done long road :)
I was waiting 20 minutes in the end. |
Waiting 20 minutes is long but not too bad for a medical appointment . What you up to now Tamo?
|
Hi everyone.
I'm always early for appointments, can't seem to help it, so I'm always waiting for a while and it's torture! Especially if they're running late. I hope they were kind with the needle, Tamo. I like people who use butterfly needles. Or even better no needle! How are you, Beckie? What is today looking like for you? Do you have to go out today, Dawn? I hope you can get yourself nice and warm. How are you, Kat? How is your zoo, especially Findus? Well done, Jen. I'm glad you're able to be proud of yourself for your achievements. I hope you got more of the sun and less of the shade. |
No Lindsay other than to the bin I havent got to go out today. My week is going to be quiet this week compared to last week. I am currently trying to sort out another shelf in my pantry. After that there's only one other shelf left to do but I can't quite reach it as it's high so I will get my mum to do it. She can stand on a step stool whereas I can't. Found a ton of different kinds of beans.
|
Thanks OSC. I often find it hard to be proud of myself, but I am getting a bit better at it, easier to be proud when I am in a positive mood.
Well done on your organising Dawn, bet it feels good to get bits done. Sounds like a bean stew or a bean chilli is in order to use up your new found supplies. |
Ooo bean chilli!
I had a hair wash, did mindfulness, watched doctors, prayed a bit, sorted out my meds for the week. Time for a cup of tea now! |
Yes I think something bean based is in order. I have finished doing it now. My pantry is now tidy. It felt good to throw away stuff I no longer need.
|
Well done, Dawn. I hope it doesn't fill up again too quickly.
That's a good list of things to have done, Tamo. Well done. I hope you enjoyed your tea. What will you be doing this evening? |
Thanks Lindsay.
|
Hey guys!
I was at work today. And my friend happened to be driving past when I was walking home (she lives near work) so she spotted me and gave me a lift home. Which was so lovely of her! |
Glad you got a lift Beckie! How was work?
|
Was ok thanks!
Pretty standard monday! The highlight of my day was getting some new wine glasses and cracker glasses! Love a shiny new glass. And new spoons. What is my life? How be you? |
Cracker glasses? Who's drinking crackers from a glass??
Relatable though, like when we get a stationery order in :P |
Lol!
Nah. It's just a standard glass for like regular soft drinks and tap water and stuff! I think cracker is the brand. Our juices are 'cracker' so maybe something to do with that! No one told me adulthood is so boring! You should see us when we get the dog treats in! We have a lady that makes them. Usually seasonally themed! Like for Christmas we had xmas pudding and trees etc. They are adorable |
Morning everyone!
|
Morning :) how are you?
|
I'm ok thanks!
Was -2 when i got up this morning! Is now 2° but still very foggy! How are you? |
I'm ok. Having tea with family. Frosty here. Do you have any plans for today?
|
Lovely!
I've just been to get my nail fixed (it chipped on Saturday), I have a parcel coming and also double pilates. So not as busy as a normal Tuesday! Already bored. Lol How about you? |
Just my normal day - including watching doctors of course!
|
Morning people.
The weather is calm here. Not too cold. Definitely no fog or frost. Did you enjoy your tea, Tamo. Doing anything with your day? Will you be in when the parcel is due to arrive, Beckie? I have 5 Easter eggs coming at some time before 8pm. I did keep buying them and cancelling them but in the end there was no further cancel button. I was hoping they'd arrive early so I could give them to the people in the gym group. I definitely won't be able to hold on to them for next week without eating them! |
Ninja, Tamo.
I hope you enjoy Doctors, although I know you always do! How long has that show been running? |
Hey lindsay!
I'm not sure. Yodel have not given me a time. Just that it is out for delivery, which is annoying. But i don't have to go out again until 3:15 so fingers crossed! Life is short, eat the eggs! |
That is annoying. I like Amazon deliveries at the point where they're able to show you a map and how many stops it is until the delivery to get to you. What usually happens if you're not in?
I don't want to eat 5 medium sized chocolate eggs! Well I do but just well, don't! Oh and in other news Crookshanks has a burst anal gland again. This has happened a few times now. Maybe it's because he's old. |
All times are GMT +1. The time now is 05:11 PM. |
