The last book I read was The Book Of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern or something like that. I was expecting it be rubbish but it turned out to be pretty good.

broken89 23-07-2012 05:48 PM

I've just finished Before I go to sleep by S J Watson. I loved it and couldn't put it down.

Tig 23-07-2012 05:55 PM

I didn't think it was as good as I was expecting.

I thought i'd like Diane Chamberlain, i've only read Brass Ring but I didn't like it much.

Right now I'm reading Blood Price by Tanya Huff. I love her writing style, really. After I finish this one, I plan on either reading the next one in this series, Blood Trail. Or maybe I'll finally start reading The Songs of Distant Earth by Arthur C. Clarke.

Lyanna 24-07-2012 12:22 PM

I love the Game of Thrones, the book was awesome and my pen name originates from there.

Meganrose 24-07-2012 07:32 PM

I finally finished Needful things last week, it only took me about 6 months.. Biggest book I've ever read so I'm still chuffed haha.

Half way through Cujo now :D

I love her but that's actually not one of her best books. Her latest book 'time of my life' is definitely worth a read if you like this though =)

Currently reading 'No one's girl' by Rosie Goodwin in paperback, and 'Alice's adventures in wonderland' on my phone...

frenchhorn 25-07-2012 08:34 PM

currently reading 'God is not Great' by Christopher Hitchens. It's really good so far.

Indigo. 28-07-2012 05:46 AM

I just finished reading Frostbite by Richelle Mead. And now I'm planning on reading the next book in the 'Vampire Academy' series, which is Shadow Kiss. These books really are addicting.
I mean I know vampires are kind of popular right now. So popular that it's actually cliche. But I don't care. I've always loved vampire stuff. :))) And these books really are great. And distracting. :D

one_step_closer 30-07-2012 05:16 PM

I found the book I lost so i'm now back to reading Life Inside: A Memoir - Mindy Lewis.

This is one of my top recommendations to people. It's brilliant.

Recently finished The men who stare at goats by Jon Ronson (love the bloke). Very entertaining. Now reading Dune by Frank Herbert and it's good, but potentially too much of a mix of Philip K Dick and Lord of the Rings.

Benjibum 31-07-2012 02:12 PM

A Farewell To Arms by Hemingway. It is pretty gosh darn awesome.

Annaberry 01-08-2012 12:57 AM

I'm reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It's interesting but not my style - every paragraph is written to try and make you ponder the meaning of everything and it's getting on my nerves a bit. It is in no way subtle and it's very repetitive. I'm struggling to enjoy reading at the minute :/

The Ashtray Girl 01-08-2012 01:31 AM

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

I love it.

Revolving Door 01-08-2012 08:27 AM

Eclipse By Stephanie Myer - I have never really liked the Twilight Saga but my friend has been at me for years to read them so I have slowly over these years got myself through...It isn't too bad, but I think that's because I no I don't like them so am trying not to think too much when I read it.

I know a lot of people were hooked on these books but it hasn't happened for me.

crazykat 02-08-2012 03:42 AM

The Good Father-Diane Chamberlain

This! I loved them when I read them before the films came out. I don't think I could read them again now though.

At the minute I'm reading Ozzy Osbournes: I Am Ozzy.

Currently reading Sick Notes by Tony Copperfield.

Petrichor 08-08-2012 11:04 AM

Lollipop Shoes by Joanne Harris. Loving it so much, and I'm only a couple of chapters in. Shortish chapters at that.

Buttons. 08-08-2012 12:49 PM

Currently reading Brass Ring by Diane Chamberlain it's really really good, if you like Jodi Picoult this is a book for you, but just be aware there are some abuse triggers in it.

Hobbes 08-08-2012 01:19 PM

Reading The Night Watch by Sarah Waters. It's interesting and well written but slightly slow going.

xxhappydaysxx 08-08-2012 02:17 PM

Revolving Door 08-08-2012 02:53 PM

Harriyot 10-08-2012 02:23 PM

I'm reading comics, as usual. (My PhD is on comics)
Currently, I'm reading Grant Morrison's 'Arkham Asylum' one-shot. It's not bad!

Morpheus 10-08-2012 03:13 PM

marieqoza 10-08-2012 03:37 PM

At the moment I am reading "Twiligh"t in English [I have already read it in German a few years ago].

Before that I read "Die Schmetterlingsinsel" by Corina Bomann.
I really loved that one and can only recommend it.

pandachan 10-08-2012 04:16 PM

I'm almost done with Carlton Mellick III's 'Satan Burger'. It's a fantastic read. He's so bizzare, guess that's where the 'bizzaro genre' comes from.. But hilarious, not just random weird **** that makes no sense... It's science fiction-y, with some philosophical content as well.

But the plot basically.. is that God has turned his back on the world, heaven and hell are closed, and Satan has moved to Earth to open a burger shop in an effort to collect people's souls and therefore stay alive. The main characters are a bunch of skinheads and gutterpunks that still have their souls, unlike most of the human population remaining on Earth, who are wandering about practically undead, bored with life but still living.

Anyway, it's great. :D

melodypond 10-08-2012 04:37 PM

At the moment I'm reading "As I Wake" by Elizabeth Scott. But I just finished "Memoirs of a Teenage Amsesiac" by Gabrielle Zevin. Also I recently read "Partial" by Dan Wells (it is amazing and I love it)

Sorry if I was only supposed to post one O_O
