Do you think that's because the story was told backwards? I felt like there was no conclusion mostly because of that.

Also reading How To Live Like Your Cat - Stephane Garnier.

Hmm, I don't know. Maybe. There was definitely a feeling of lack of conclusion. Which of hers is your favourite book?

Yeah somehow don't think I'm going to read the Cat book :P Have begun Peggy and me by Miranda Hart about her and her dog-more my cuppa tea.

one_step_closer 23-12-2018 04:12 PM

I have no idea which of hers is my favourite, I don't think I've read any that I haven't liked although I haven't read the ones she wrote with her daughter. Do you have a favourite?

Buttons. 23-12-2018 04:22 PM

I don't think I've read any of hers that I didn't like although like you I haven't read the ones she wrote with her daughter. I'd say Second Glance or Nineteen Minutes would be high up on my list.

one_step_closer 23-12-2018 04:31 PM

Nineteen Minutes was very hard hitting.

Buttons. 23-12-2018 04:35 PM

Very much so. The way she managed to humanise all characters concerned was interesting.

It’s what the film Blade Runner was based on. Sci-fi, near-apocalypse, questioning what is real or not real... It is interesting.

I wanted to give this 2 stars (it was ok) since it wasn't what I expected, it was about the woman's career rather than the people on death row, but I gave it 3 stars (liked it) and reviewed it as 2.5 stars.
