[Luna] 27-07-2018 06:19 PM

Hey all, how is everyone?

Cacoethes 27-07-2018 06:23 PM

Definitely with spikes

Hi Luna
How are you?

Just watching the weather, the thunderstorm has literally gone AROUND where I am.
This is absolute bullshit!!!

[Luna] 27-07-2018 06:27 PM

Oh Beckie, I really hope you get some rain. Whereabouts at you?
We've thankfully had some rain but it's not really all that cooler.

one_step_closer 27-07-2018 06:27 PM

Hi Luna, how are you?

Beckie, you'll need to go to one of those countries where they chase storms. Or is that a bit much?

chinahorse 27-07-2018 06:27 PM

It's finally the weekend!!

Hello all :) how's things?

one_step_closer 27-07-2018 06:28 PM

Hi Lillie, what will you be getting up to this weekend?

chinahorse 27-07-2018 06:29 PM

Lots of fun things like cleaning the bathroom, doing laundry and changing my bed sheets. May also treat myself to some of my work course :S

How're you?

Cacoethes 27-07-2018 06:31 PM

I'm in Norfolk
Some of Norfolk has had storms and rain, just not the part that I'm in!!!

I may have to resort to storm chasing!
Although it seems wherever I go, the storms avoid me!!

Yay for the weekend!

[Luna] 27-07-2018 06:32 PM

Sounds exciting Lillie, lucky you ;-)

I haven't got much planned this weekend. Depends on the weather. I'm just praying it's a breathable temp.

one_step_closer 27-07-2018 06:33 PM

Sounds super fun Lillie. Can you treat yourself to something actually fun too?

I'm not too great at the moment but trying to be.

Beckie, maybe you have a giant umbrella attached to your head.

Cacoethes 27-07-2018 06:34 PM

Pretty sure I'm cursed!!

one_step_closer 27-07-2018 06:36 PM

We'll need to find a way to break the curse then.

Cacoethes 27-07-2018 06:37 PM

Please do!!

one_step_closer 27-07-2018 06:38 PM

I don't know enough about curses to figure it out I don't think. Anyone else?

[Luna] 27-07-2018 06:40 PM

Try doing a rain dance?

nonperson 27-07-2018 07:03 PM

It's gone from being too hot to go outside, to too grey and grim to go outside.

Buttons. 27-07-2018 07:03 PM

I think a Harry Potter spell is the way forward maybe finite incantatem would do the trick.

I'd take that over the heat-I swear down almost my entire electric bill this month will be fan.

[Luna] 27-07-2018 07:08 PM

Yeah the heat was getting way too much.

chinahorse 27-07-2018 07:14 PM

Sorry to hear that Lindsay.

Harry Potter spells! They solve everything.

I want to sleep. But I only have 1 cup of teas worth of milk left. But am in my pjs. Harry Potter spell to fix that?

nonperson 27-07-2018 07:14 PM

Same. It's nice and cool now. Tempted to go for a walk in it.

zombiehunter 27-07-2018 07:15 PM

I hate humidity with a ****ing passion

nonperson 27-07-2018 07:16 PM

I don't think it's been that humid here. No moisture anywhere to MAKE it humid. Just scorching hot. I'm so fed up of everything looking yellow.

chinahorse 27-07-2018 07:21 PM

Spell didn't work :-(

Its humid here too- it is awful!! Damn sea supplying the moisture!!

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:27 PM

Hey guys

nonperson 27-07-2018 07:28 PM

Sorry Lillie. =(

Hi Charlie.

one_step_closer 27-07-2018 07:29 PM

Hi Charlie, how are you?

I think talk of the weather has taken over our talk of food.

zombiehunter 27-07-2018 07:31 PM

when my appetite comes back I'm going to phone for ****ing pizza later :-D

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:32 PM

Hello :) how are you?

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:33 PM

Sorry didn't see the other posts x I'm okish, was at work and almost passed out from my blood sugar dropping and nothing would bring it back up. It's been happening a lot so i should probably go to a doctor at some point >.> Got home eventually and survived lol
How are you guys?

nonperson 27-07-2018 07:37 PM

Low blood sugars is a really horrible feeling. =/ You should carry emergency Jelly Babies with you if it keeps happening. They'll get your sugars back up quickly.

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:41 PM

I was eating through the day and tried a sugary drink to try and help it :/ the drink worked for a bit (got used to the feeling) then it dropped again, so i need to see why it won't come back up or keeps dropping even though im eating
Actually not as far as I know Jinxie :/ this started in the last few months, i figured out sugar since I work in the hospital and checked it when i felt like this. Suppose i should check out why it's happening incase thst is the issue. I'm not good with doctors it always takes me forever to go (oops :p)

Buttons. 27-07-2018 07:42 PM

Hope you manage to sort it out Charlie I passed out due to low blood sugar the other day. Tbf it's hard keeping your sugar intake up when this hot weather doesn't make eating for want of a better word appertising :p

Buttons. 27-07-2018 07:43 PM

Sorry Charlie you ninja posted me :P I would defo get to the drs just to make sure everything is okay.

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:44 PM

Very true Buttons :p maybe the heat itself causes it too. Sorry to hear you weren't well :( such a horrible feeling. I hope youre alright now <3

one_step_closer 27-07-2018 07:44 PM

Eating is always appetising to me. Bring it on.

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:45 PM

Oh dear you've done it to me now haha :p yeah I should I suppose though knowing my luck he'll likely just say oh just eat more or you're too young for a real issue and give no proper advice or answers haha

nonperson 27-07-2018 07:46 PM

Low sugars isn't a diagnosis for diabetes. Untreated diabetics will have high sugars.

After the sugary drink you should have a more carbohydratey snack to stop it falling again. Sugar works quickly but you need to have something more long lasting afterwards too.

I am diabetic so experience this regularly.

That's good you have the facilities at work to check your blood sugars! But yes, you really should get to a doctor about this because it's really very dangerous.

Not nagging, honestly.

Buttons. 27-07-2018 07:51 PM

Ha ha I'll be fine this eve had a mac and cheese so really okay. Still think you should seek help Charlie though.

Lins lets swap then, I'll steal your appetite :P

Sorry to hear that NP but at least we have an expert in the situ!

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:54 PM

Not at all np i appreciate the advice x I will go to a doctor i know it's silly not to, bad habit I'm afraid.
I didn't expect diabetese because of the same thing you said that it would be high so I'd like to see why its dropping instead. I did eat sandwiches, a cereal bar and fruit aswell as the drink while this was happening and it annoys me when meals etc don't work either because I'm not sure what else to do
Thankyou all.for the help <3

Charlie051 27-07-2018 07:54 PM

Mm mac n cheese :p

nonperson 27-07-2018 07:57 PM

Yeah, sorry if I took it so seriously. =/

Charlie051 27-07-2018 08:03 PM

No need to be sorry! I really appreciate it honestly xx

nonperson 27-07-2018 08:03 PM

I think people can be hypoglycemic without being diabetic. Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know... but as far as treating a hypo goes, the established method is to eat the sugary thing first, wait 10-15 minutes for blood sugar to go up and then if it's ok to then follow it up with, say, your sandwich and fruit.

As tempting as it is to eat everything in one go (lows make me ravenous).

Charlie051 27-07-2018 08:12 PM

It really does make you want to eat everything !
It's fine really, i appreciate the advice since you deal with it first hand. Ive learnt patients often know much better than medical staff when they live with a condition and especially in diabetic patients. I'll try and keep more carby things on me and see if it works better with those timings x thankyou!

nonperson 27-07-2018 08:20 PM

You're welcome. =)

Does anyone know if there's anything good on tv tonight?

Charlie051 27-07-2018 08:22 PM

Not the foggiest

zombiehunter 27-07-2018 08:29 PM

Cacoethes 27-07-2018 08:38 PM
