Glad it's gone
I just had phonecall with GP. And have an appointment to get my chest listened to and check things are settling down with Nurse at 11:40am. |
Hoping appointment is going well lr.
|
I have had a thought. I might not have my inspection today as some members of the council are on strike from now until the 17th. Annoyingly it effects the bins too as they didn't collect my recycling on Thursday. Anyway the letter says it's between now and 2 pm so time for them to come.
|
Are you sitting by the window waiting? :p
|
Nope. I am expecting Tesco later on though.
|
Hi all :)
I'm glad we don't have tenancy inspections in Denmark, Dawn. I'd be in trouble probably and it'd be very awkward to answer the question as to what has happened to several of my walls…. “Yeah… about that, my bunny ate them!!” I look after my place to the best of my ability. Unfortunately Findus far surpasses my ability…. Glad your wrist wasn't broken, Jen :) I just cleaned the bird cages. So much bird poop!!!! |
How many birds do you have Zurg?
|
Nurse heard a slight wheeze at bottom of my lungs but we think there is a chance I can make it to tomorrow without another attack. And I am not having an attack now. I have my inhalers if I need them
After the appointment my partner and I went to the garden centre and had a roast dinner at the cafe so we don't have t think about cooking and that I got a full meal for once as my lungs were feeling mostly ok. Have just come home and taken one of my prescription painkillers for my wrist as regular paracetamol wasn't cutting it. Going to try a nap now |
I have 3, Tamo :)
A canary, he's in a cage of his own. And a pair of zebra finches, male and female, who live together in another cage. They are so cute and the canary sings and the zebra finches make a sort of honking sound. Findus' favourite place to rest is behind the zebra finch cage |
Good luck with the nap, Jen. I'm rooting for you :)
|
Thanks Zurg so tied have been averaging under 5 hours sleep a night and have had 2 nights where I have got no sleep at all. I am absolutely exhausted
|
They sound lovely Zurg. I used to have 2 budgies, they were very naughty, never wanted to get back in the cage after cleaning.
I hops you have a nice nap lr. |
Birds are kind of scary but also not. I like watching the wild ones at my bird feeders.
Been to the dentist, had to have a surprise extra filling. Not fun. |
I slept for about an hour. Pain is manageable but still there.
Definitely not fun. Hope you aren't too sore Lindsay. I hope my dentist appointment goes ok in October I have had to reschedule twice due to asthma |
Sorry about that osc.
|
I am exhausted and fed up. Trying to gather energy to do something to distract myself.
What's everyone else up to? Anything fun? |
I've taken prn and am distracting . I like seeing all the people on Ambulance who have their own problems.. Keeps things in perspective! Sure I've got the Organisation but they have fatal illnesses.
|
I had tea and choc chip shortbread that we got at garden centre/ farm shop. It has cheered me up a little. Might watch some thing on YouTube in a minute.
Fun fact my nurse practioner was on one of the A&E TV shows when she worked in a major trauma unit. |
She's a celebrity!
|
I have yet to find the episode! She is a really good medical professional though. Has been a great support and really done her best to keep me out of hospital this last month or so.
|
That's good to hear.
|
I have a really great GP surgery. I have seen them so often lately and there isn't much they can do treatment wise as I am too complicated for them now and am starting to get the specialist treatment. But they are great at helping me assess when I need extra help, will always see me or call me back if I am concerned even at like 5/6pm, and only send me to hospital if there isn't another option. I am glad my Nurse sent me on Monday though as that's what got the specialist care ball rollling
|
It's nice when people are proactive.
|
It is indeed.
Can't decide what to watch. Might go for a travel show on you tube |
I hope you find something good to watch.
I'm mostly watching medical documentaries. Like Ambulance too. My mouth is nearly fully functioning again. |
Found a live session on you tube by a band I like so have that on while I internet for now. Although using my left hand to do all typing / scrolling is irritating. I hurt my right wrist and I am right handed
|
I want to apologise for being rubbish at replying to peoples support threads at the moment. I do care lots.
|
I hope your left hand doesn't now become too painful too!
Woodkid live at Monteroux is really good. |
Look after yourself osc x
|
I mean left hand is bruised but it's a lot better than the right. It's more just getting frustrated with how slow I type.
And we understand sometimes on a peer support site people don't have capacity to give support. Tis the nature of the fact we are here because we struggle sometimes. |
I agree with Jen.
I have been mega tired today. I had tesco and managed to put everything away. I ordered a bag from caffe nero on too good to go app and ate a panini from it today. The soup is going to be frozen as I can't see anything that stops it from being frozen. |
Morning Everyone
Had another asthma attack and I've been up at the hospital since just after midnight at AMU although it's so busy they are using their triage beds as a ward. |
Oh Jen, i'm so sorry to hear that. It must be so frustrating and exhausting. I really hope someone can figure out something to help you. You need a serious break from tiresome health woes!!! <3
I'm up but not much else. I feel rubbish because i probably did too many things yesterday. Dizzy and tired and i just feel like napping all day. But bun-bun has woken up and chosen destruction today so we might be in a bit of pickle there…. |
Just seen a fancy consultant who is ordering lots of tests and things. He is changing meds from what general respiratory consultant put me on on Friday. Potential there is something else going on not just asthma. If he can do so safely he is going to get me home this afternoon and then see me as an outpatient daily if necessary to check things don't go downhill again but let me stay calmer for my FND. Going to get seen by asthma nurse.
Set bun bun in his new sandbox? Sorry you are having a dizzy kind of day. And the bunzilla calms down enough you can rest later |
I really hope whatever they Will attempt, that it Will make some kind of positive difference, Jen. Because the way it is now seems rather unacceptable. I don't Think anyone copes well with going in and out of hospital all the time, least of all people with fragile mental health.
For the record, i Think you're handling it in a much better way than i would. I'd have gone bonkers, had several meltdowns and possibly bit someone in their thigh…. Findus is not at all trusting of his sandbox yet. It is very big, blue and terrifying apparently XD we're still only at the 'let me sniff this suspicious thing'-stage |
Sorry to hear that, Jen. Your body really is being a huge troll at the moment.
I hope you can take it easy today, Kat. |
I've also got a TV recommendation for Tamo - Geordie Hospital on Ch4. It's lighthearted and medical at the same time.
|
That sounds fun osc, thanks!
Morning all. |
Well instead if going bonkers my body shuts me down with non epileptic seizures. Still a bit mad and manic and arrgh but just about got it under control. Thank goodness for the year and half of therapy.
My body is the biggest troll. How are you today Lindsay? |
I'm watching the news with my teddy :)
|
Afternoon all.
|
Hi everyone. Sorry your asthma is being such a pain still Jen, hope the new regime helps get things more under control - you've had such a rough time of it!
I'm having a difficult day, but trying to crack on with my assignment now because it's due in tomorrow. Sending love to all - and hugs if wanted. |
Hi Abstract, hope the assignment is going well, you can do it!
|
You can do it Lucy!
|
Thanks both - I managed it! I got it in and submitted a couple of hours ago. So relieved! Fairly pleased with what I submitted as well. Now just the agonising wait for results (which will indicate what I got overall for the year!). New module website opens tomorrow, so I can finally get my head in the game and get excited about that one. :)
My flatmate moved all of her stuff today as well, so it was a bit of a crazy day. Plus my girlfriend tested positive for covid and she was here a couple of days ago, so crossing my fingers that I'm not next so I don't have to cancel the nice plans for this week! I'm quite tired after all of that, and spending the best part of 2 hours crying with everything that was going on earlier! But I've moved some stuff around this evening so things feel a bit more ordered in the flat, and now I'm going to have a cake my flatmate got me earlier and watch a show. :) How is everyone getting on this evening? <3 |
Morning everyone. How are you all?
|
Hi osc. I'm not great. How are you?
|
Afternoon all.
|
Hi insig, how are you?
|
I am a bit tired and not having a good day as a few things have gone wrong.
